      Both parties impinge freedoms, just different ones. If I had to choose between cops reading my emails and losing Row vs Wade, I know which I would go for.

      But preferably neither.

      Well if it passes congress we will know that it is the conservatives just as much as the liberals, otherwise it just won't happen.

    Right. Criminals need to know who might be a threat to them, and if most people are honest, they need to spy on most people.

      It doesn't only apply to conservatives. I imagine it will only be used in extreme cases such as murder or death threats.

    Most conservatives didn't say anything about the Patriot Act when it was passed, and now it has become standard practice, like drone strikes and indefinite detentions.
