Na, I think there probably inspiring for little black girls. I mean hell, men couldn't decide on White or Black so they had Green army men.

A woman made a line of Barbies for African-American girls. So why is that racist?
I never had a Barbie, but I never wanted one.
Certainly perpetuates the notion that blond and blue-eyed are the pinnacle of female beauty.
Not precisely racist but hey, it's a piece of plastic. Who cares if it IS? If the little plastic lassy gets too sassy we can just toss her in the bin along with her friend Ken until they get politically correct.
Look , if you're not willing to shave your head and poke out your eyes you're a racist!
Ken is already castrated, I think that's punishment enough.
My sister actually has a Barbie collection. She has numerous brunettes with green eyes.
Let's see, they have had a Princess Di Barbie, a Barbra Streisand Barbie, an Audrey Hepburn Barbie, etc. What is the difference if they have a black Barbie? It is just a doll.
Just making a black form of a doll is far from racist...don't even know where that came from...
And if you are referring to the comments on the blog...one of them was implying it was racist...one person with many others disagreeing.
They also have Disney Princess Barbies...not all of them are white...
If you read the article it indicates that it came from certain African Americans who took offense to them.
Some people...not all. The woman who designed them is black as far as I know.
I see more racism in some of the comments that in that. Obviously some other blog sent a bunch of people over there to comment and agree with one another.
That there is too much racism. One comment that 75% of black women had babies out of wedlock by the time they were 18. They all like hip hop (a black women who commented that she likes country music was voted negative). They should stop "stealing" white icons like Barbie and Santa Claus and create their own. ( I especially like that one). That Barbie should come with food stamps.
No doubt Ken has had his share of problems with Barbie and his Landing Gear............ But castrating him?
I've noticed some of his other moving parts are abit sad also.
As far as being racist is concerned: I think his being gay would be more contentious.
One of my favorite words and I rarely get to use it...
We are *anthropomorphizing* in this thread.
Thanks for agreeing (just stolen your word
)
Well, it was traumatic for me that I didn't look like Raggedy Ann.
I don't think Barbie can be racist. She is an inanimate object, right?
I SEE lots of Barbie Doll's on second hand stalls going very cheap, but no one wants to buy....... they prefer Bratz

Why is saying #AllLivesMatter considered racist?I see this everywhere: on Twitter, on forums, and on the news. I am asking this out of pure curiosity and confusion, because I don't see anything racist about the statement/hashtag.

In a conversation about racism in America today, a young relative, made this statement'"It is worse than it was six years ago!"It took me a moment to catch his drift. He is a young, (many times naive), anti-Obama conservative and I took his comment to mean it is worse since Pres....
