In spite of all the difficulties and challenges in your life, what are you most thankful for?

Thankful for....most thankful for...cannot be answered....
there are too many thankfuls in my life...the one for which I am most thankful is that God is in my life and because of that I know I never walk alone. Thankful that He holds my loved ones and me in His hands and carries us over the hiccups we face. Thankful that my daughter and grandson are alive as they both were diagnosed as terminal many years ago and the doctors say that it is nothing short of a miracle to explain why they walk the planet. And so very thankful for the rest of my family and for the lovely circle of friends in my life including the new ones made here on HP.
Couldn't answer your question without adding these additions to my answer. Sending Angels your way...smile ps

My heart and prayers go to you and your family.  We are given challenges so we can grow deeper in faith.  Every day is a miracle for us.  Many just don't realize it.

Thankful for the 'life',  first of all---
---difficulties and challenges are part of life and will be there, as long as we live. We should not be scared of them. But I am most thankful to God for whatever he has given me---my family and friends and everything beautiful in the world and around.

All things come from our Creator.  Many may disagree.  But this is my faith and just like you I am grateful for it.

Just imagine how powerless we are.  One day we are here, the next we are not. That in itself is truly worth being thankful for.

This is a wonderful question.  Personally, I am most grateful for my ability to feel compassion.  It allows me to care about people, the environment, justice, and the world we live in, in general.  As long as I can feel compassion, I have a chance to do something to make the world a better place.  To live is to experience challenges but to find the grace to overcome them is to find contentment and joy.

I still have a constitutional right to possess a firearm.

It's not the firearm that matters, but the idea that we are free under the constitution.  Use it wisely.

My husband, children and grandchildren.  Life has been challenging, although I am sure no more so for me than many others.  But the constant positive in my life is my family.  They always make me smile and I am so grateful for them all.

Thank you for this beautiful question. Like most other people, I have had my share of difficulties and challenges and have been blessed to be able to overcome them. But what comes to my mind as an answer to this question is the fact that recently, I realized a few mistakes I had made unintentionally long long ago and apologized to the persons involved. I am very happy I could do it and feel relieved now. I am not sure how this realization occurred - I choose to call it a miracle - but I am most thankful for it because to me what happened as a result of it has a lot of importance.
    Thanks again. Cheers, Rema.

I am most thankful for my father picking me up every time I fell down.  He is not a warm fuzzy kind of guy you can share your intimate thoughts and feelings with, but he is always there when I need help.

We all show how we care in different ways.  The mere fact that we acknowledge it is already a great step.  Not everyone has a dad who can pick them up when they're down.  You're one of the lucky ones.  Hug your dad for me. smile

I, STILL, get to stand here, before you giving you my opinons, advice, encouragements, and differing opinions.

While, I am indeed, battled scarred..........I am not yet defeated.

I , STILL have a small, quiet, voice.

It IS that small voice that takes me into the tomorrow.

I give my thanks to GOD for that small whisper...................

First and foremost I am thankful for the wonderful man I married.  My family comes next and then being able to live in a country where I can worship how I want to. And last but not in the least I am thankful that I am a child of God and know that when I die I will see my loved ones in Heaven!

I am thankful that I was able to celebrate my sons 25th birthday last night,18 years  from being diagnosed with cancer and 2 1/2  years from being diagnosed with metastatic cancer. I am thankful for being in good health.  I am thankful that my young friend returned from Afghanistan last night.  I am thankful that I had a good dinner tonight.  I am thankful that I have a husband that thinks a great date is going to coffee and watching the kids play in the fountain across the street from the coffee house.  I am thankful for the little boy who smiles when he sees me and is working on saying, "Grammy".  I am thankful for the beautiful sunset I saw this evening.  I am thankful that somebody reads my meager writings.  I am thankful for the friends I have made on H.P.  I am thankful that there is a bed with warm blankets that I am heading toward, in a house with a solid roof.  I am thankful that I can pray for my children, then go to bed, knowing somebody with more power than I could ever muster, is watching over them .
    Happy Thanksgiving All!

I am most thankful for the ability to see, hear, and walk. It means that I can still travel the world, tell my husband I love him and be physically able to work. I can provide a good life for my family, and that is all that I can ask for smile

My own life. I'm greatful to see, to be able to think, to hear, to taste, to look at my own family eating together. As a person living in a third world country, I've seen lots of people die. I've seen poverty, I've seen target shootings, I've seen people being beat up on streets. But me..I live in a home and I have God. That's what I am greatful for.
