   This lawmaker from Germany is spot on about the vaccine!  I especially like the video in the middle of the article of her giving her speech. 
   
   "A German member of the European Parliament declared to colleagues she would rather be jailed than receive a COVID-19 vaccine, arguing she is a free person, the shots have not been properly tested, and no one should take the word of any government at face value.
   
   "I will not be vaccinated with anything that has not been properly vetted and tested and has shown no sound scientific evidence that the benefits outweigh the disease itself and possible long-term side effects, which to this day we don't know anything about," said Christine Anderson of Germany's conservative AfD party on Thursday from the floor of parliament in Brussels, Belgium.
   
   "And I will most assuredly not get vaccinated because my government tells me to and promises in return I will be granted freedom."
   
   "Let's be clear about one thing," Anderson said. "No one grants me freedom. For I am a free person."
   
   "Lock me up and throw away the key, for all I care," the lawmaker said. "But you will never coerce me into being vaccinated if I, the free citizen that I am, choose not to be vaccinated."
   
   "Whenever a a government claims to have the people's interests at heart, you need to think again," Anderson said.
   
   "In the entire history of mankind, there has never been a political elite sincerely concerned about the wellbeing of regular people," she said. "What makes any of us think that it is different now?"
   
   She said it should be clear in this modern age that you should never "take anything any government you tells at face value."

      It's sad that we cannot join together in today's day & age.
      
      Why must the government be out to hurt us?
      
      Could it be that the entire world is trying to eliminate this disease and protect us...We the People??
      
      Each person can & will do as they please, but thinking of others is the kind of unity we need in this world.
      
      Like everything else in life...it is a risk.
      We don't complain about takimg chances to further our career, so why balk at the chance to stay alive?
      
      I've seen too many pass away from this Covid-19 at a very young age and it's not going to disappear until we all join together.

      Problem is that Anderson (and a great many Americans) will always find that the vaccine is "not been properly vetted and tested and has shown no sound scientific evidence that the benefits outweigh the disease itself and possible long-term side effects".  It isn't about the vaccine; it is about their perception that their personal freedoms override the necessities that living in a community produce.
      
      "People should always question any claim or agenda, asking who benefits?"
      
      in this matter the whole of society does, including the person asking the question.  It's about protecting the health of everyone vs the rights of individuals to endanger other.

            Interesting,  I might be going MADD for covid laws are all over the map.  I'm building homeless tiny house communities and government here want all homeless vaxxed, wail their staff need not to be vaxxed. Street Homeless may grow 10 times this winter as they have cancelled Government covid checks. Yet it almost impossible for the unvaccinated..
            
            Some homeless say, they spend  $65k on us a year. They spent over $100,000 on criminals in prison a year. Maybe we should get a pay raise and act like criminals like the government.

Look at the westernized countries who have been 70 to 85% fully vaccinated. Also westernized countries gave us the majority of world's covid deaths. The Vaccines superspreader of covid will kill the poor countries just as bad.  Even Pope said vaccines should be available for all the poor countries.             . Use police and the un-justice system for bullies with guns and just say uncle when they bend your arm all to hell..
            . More profitable than oil and gas.
            . Increase billionaire profits by 60%, best ever in human history.

            Some here are the 30% totalitarianism, and other 40% follows because they are starving for some kind social connections after all the anti social mandates and restrictions.

      It's very simple. Vaccines work.
      before the vaccine people died from covid
      after vaccination the percentage of people dying is incredibly small.
      In other words. the vaccines work.
      Vaccines won't stop you from getting covid, but the chances of dying are slim. The chances of going to a hospital are slim.
      By taking a vaccine you do not only do yourself a favour but also lift the burden of the hospitals who couldn't cope with the huge numbers of people who needed help because of covid. Now the hospitals can run normally again.
      I don't know any country in which covid vaccination is mandatory. So that's a non-issue. If you don't want to take a vaccine, that's up to you. But don't complain.

            COVID-19 isn't caused by a cold germ. It's caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which doesn't produce the common cold. Some of the symptoms are similar to those of a cold, and some other types of coronavirus do cause the common cold. The current situation is more serious, though. As Brenda has said, people have died from the SARS-CoV-2 infection.

               Explain this:
               My daughter and her boyfriend are in their mid-thirties. My daughter was not vaccinated and caught Covid. Her boyfriend, was vaccinated and caught Covid.
               They both tested positive and had the same symptoms. They both recovered in seven days.
               They are both perfectly fine now.

                  I'm glad they recovered. Two people out of the world's population is not a representative portion, however. Of course some people recover from the infection without being vaccinated. Others don't.
                  
                  Where I live, the health authorities are telling us that receiving the vaccine does not mean that we won't catch the infection. It greatly increases the chance that we won't need to be hospitalized and that we won't die from the infection, though.

            Vaccines work.
            It's not just a stupid cold. It's a deadly stupid cold. By taking a vaccine it becomes an ordinary "cold".
            A lot of people didn't get over it!!!
            When something in your village does not happen it doesn't mean it doesn't happen elsewhere.

               They were probably not healthy. They were over-drinkers of alcohol and over-eaters of junk food, I can assume. We must eat healthfully, get plenty of sleep and exercise and the take on the right kinds of stress.
               We must socially distance and wear masks to protect ourselves since they do seem to help.
               Eventually, we will achieve herd immunity either through vaccinations or through getting the germ and recovering.

         Then, there is the fact the protection provided by the vaccine decreases dramatically within a year after getting it.

         You have the vaccine you can STILL get it, pass it on and die from it.
         
         EVERYONE has the right to refuse to get it.  Nobody should be forced any vaccine.  This one is not effective.

            I completely agree with you.
            Covid numbers are still high in many countries even with vaccines.
            Vaccines don't prevent you from getting it.
            
            But I was talking about the people who die from covid.
            Here is a huge difference.
            Before the vaccination people died by the numbers. After the vaccination, it's an incident.

               The people who got the vaccine probably wouldn't have died anyway.
               Also, I would guess, the ones who end up relying on the hospital to save them are the ones who die. A hospital is the most unhealthful place to recover.
               Maybe we need Covid 19 healing centers:
               Places that will provide the latest cures, diets and supplements to help a person recover naturally. It would have to be low cost/ insurance-plan-offered, of course.
               (And that is the problem.)

               I think the number of people who have had Covid and have developed natural immunity should be taken into consideration.
               
               I think since Covid has been around and many people have developed natural immunity, that has played a major role in decreasing Covid deaths.
               
               Even at the beginning, Covid had a survivability rate of 99 percent.

                  You are right that it's not that simple. And people have developed a natural immunity (whatever that is)
                  But Covid was pretty heavy, hospitals all over the world couldn't cope. As the symptoms were serious. People died, people got long-lasting problems with chest, lungs, and smell (a friend of mine still can't smell properly after having had covid). It was definitely more than a cold.
                  
                  You can have many questions, and we all do.(about for instance the number of profits taken by companies in the healthcare sector and security sector.)
                  or the classic disaster capitalism. (a disaster happens and is monetized.)
                  
                  Nevertheless, a vaccine was the only option apparently to get the world moving again. As many people became afraid and anxious and some still are.
                  
                  I don't see why a vaccine can not help, just like paracetamol helps with pain and other pills help with health problems.
                  
                  But yes, with this vaccine, you should have the freedom to say no. And I don't think there isn't a country where it was against the law not to take a vaccine.
                  
                  It's a big complicated discussion. And everybody has the right to its personal view imo.

                     It may not be against the law to not have the vaccine, but there are certainly limitation on what you can do and those limitations are growing.  In the US people are being fired from their jobs, not permitted into restaurants, concert venues, and in some places they can only go into grocery stores during certain time, with a mask.  If you don't get the vaccine, you have to pay for the testing out of your own pocket to keep your job.  Yet, our Congress has exempted themselves from this same virus mandate.
                     
                     You can choose to not take a vaccine, but you will pay a huge price for not doing it.

                        I want to fly from Spain to the UK, therefore I need a vaccine. I have the choice not to go to the UK or to take the vaccine.
                        When I have a choice, I take the one that suits me best. (I think most people do.)
                        You could say it's not a choice but a forced choice. And I agree with that.
                        And the power of a government is debatable, and should be debatable.
                        
                        A government is making good choices and bad choices. Depending on your point of view and your personal life.
                        In the case of vaccines, personally, I think it's a good thing for the government to urge everyone to take a vaccine. I have many friends who don't want to, but I won't ask them to take one, it's their choice in the end and I respect that, even if I think the opposite.
                        
                        What you are saying is scary, and to be honest, I think this is only the beginning.
                        It won't take long before you all need an app on your phone which shows your vaccines and record, and you have to show the QR code to enter a mall or cinema. This app will surely be extended...
                        The whole security industry jumped on the bandwagon to make money from the epidemic. (and they won't jump off)

         In his most forceful pandemic actions and words, President Joe Biden has ordered sweeping new federal vaccine requirements for as many as 100 million Americans — private-sector employees as well as health care workers and federal contractors —   Our policemen and firefighters are also being mandated to be vaccinated or ultimately be out of work.  Not sure what country you live in, but here in us, the vaccine is being mandated.       Love her and admire her stance so much!
      Her comments about freedom and the fact that Gov doesn't grant freedom is spot on. Gov is in place to protect our freedoms, but they inevitably get too big for their britches {even in the U.S.} and become dictators instead, it never fails!

      This lady belongs to the AfD, a right wing populist party who is against the European Union. And yes she is in the EU parliamant. Isn´t this bigot?
      
      There is no law to put someone in prison who does not want to get vaccinated. What is she talking about?
      
      She claims freedom for herself, but her political stance is everything else but for freedom. She is member of the right wing of this right wing party, a very small step away from the former guy in the Reichskanzlei with a small mustache. Freedom is not for minorities, not for religious groups, not for diverse people. Take her speech for what it is, a political rant to draw attention.
      
      My personal view on vaccination is: Get vaccinated if you can, will protect you and society. But now in those countries with a majority of sane people vaccinated, i see no reason why to exclude unvaccinated from public life. Because that is the only "punishment" in old Europe that i can see for the unvaccinated.
      
      If you make a choice about vaccination, then you add one more group to the many groups in a diverse society: gay and not gay, colored and white, religious and atheist, young and old, educated and uneducated, young and old, rich and poor, ... and vaccinated and not vaccinated.
      Don´t listen to this questionable lady who does not stand for freedom of most of the groups i just mentioned.

      To summarize the article: Our immune system reacts to threats like Covid19 or viruses in general. This reaction is kickstarted but eventually has to be phased out /turned off. This phase out is initiated by a messenger substance. In this case the substance "TGFβ" from the study publication headline.
      Apparently Covid19 pushes this "TGFβ" to slow down immune system response in a very early stage of the infection, way too early.
      So the immune system, how good it may be, goes to standby and does not contribute to fight the virus when it would be necessary.

         I believe she is speaking to the limitations put on people who don't want to be vaccinated.  The reasons for this are long and emotional.
         
         I am strongly against punishing people who have chosen to not get the vaccine.
         
         This is something that is happening around the United States and in other countries around the world.  People are being fired from their jobs, banned from restaurants, outdoor sporting events, and more.  Because they refuse to put something in their bodies that they don't want. 
         
         There is NO justification for this treatment.

            Just for my understanding:
            Is there any legal avenue for politicians, administrations to be sued for not protecting people from danger (In this case danger coming from the virus)?
            
            If administrations can be held liable, then it is understandable why restrictions are imposed.
            
            Can a business owner be sued by his employees if they get sick from the virus because of no protection from infected coworkers?
            
            Can a restaurant owner enforce a vaccinated or recovered only order, because he/she looses business due to people feeling insecure if they don´t know, who is sitting on the next table?
            
            It is one thing to make legal rules or laws to conquer the virus mess. This may be questionable. It is another thing  (freedom)  of companies to choose who to serve and employ and who not. Or is "freedom of choice" a one way road?

   Its the luck of the draw as to who you get to jab you.
   I will not be vaccine injured.
   I will not let anyone with a covid 19 vaccine needle near me.
   I would also go to jail with this belief.  The ability to protect myself and to guide my own will over MY OWN BODY is to be absolutely allowed. No matter how KIND you want me to be.
   If I get vaccine-injured how kind will I feel then???
   I ask.

   I am amazed at the resistance to this vaccine expressed here. The work on the base for this vaccine began in 2011-12. When the virus came, as we in public health and infectious disease work knew it or one like it eventually would, researchers at universities all over the world dropped what they were doing and worked on this. For the first time, scientists shared their research in an effort to kill this vicious disease. That is how it appeared to be created so fast. It has been thoroughly tested and retested. We are so fortunate to have the COVID-19 vaccine. I am appalled it was so politicized. There is very little natural immunity from COVID-19 because most of its victims are dead, and those who survived are not assured of immunity from re-infection. We won't know about that until enough time has passed to see whether or not the survivors can contract the virus again. Please, please get vaccinated.

      1. You can still get Covid
      2. You can still die from Covid
      3. You can still pass on Covid to others
      4. Nobody knows the long term effects of the vaccine
      5. The vaccine comes with side effects many people want to avoid
      6. Nobody knows all of the side effects of the vaccine
      7. Many people have had serious adverse effects from taking the vaccine.  Many people have died.
      
      I have no problem with the vaccine.  My issue is forcing it on people against their will.  Limiting their freedoms because you refuse to put a drug into your body mandated by the government is just plain wrong.
