How (Exactly) Did Donald Trump Make America Great Again?

My position is that Donald Trump made things worse in his four years as president plus the year leading up to it.

This forum is to provide me the DETAIL on how he made it better as so many Trump defenders claim.

For example, they claim Trump made great improvements in the economy when compared to where Obama left it.  I claim that at the OVERALL level, he made little change. In most measures he did a skoosh better (but certainly not a lot) after taking into account the momentum that had built up as Obama left office.

If you disagree, please provide the comparable data to prove me wrong.

Another claim is that the Trump tax cut measurably increased GDP and created millions of jobs. Please provide the studies that back that assertion up. My claim is that he did neither.

This thread is redundant. It's a fixation you have had for 6 years, and the subject has been beaten to death.

Sorry, your side just SAYS Trump did great things.  History says otherwise, here is your chance to prove me wrong.  If you can't, then I don't blame you for being silent.

I have nothing to prove to you or for that matter anyone here. I have my opinion on Trump and his job performance. Which I have shared frequently.
I don't think anyone could agree that staying silent is something I do easily. However, to be redundant, I feel it says something about a person. It says they need to be assured of their view by others.  I certainly, don't need to have my views in regards to Trump's job performance justified... I truely believe he did a great job.

I don't feel feeding into your obsession is beneficial to either of us. I find it sad you continue to ruminate on Trump. Just being honest.

Yes, and my opinion that the moon is made of green cheese has equal standing with your opinion that Trump is is what he isn't.

And I am not ruminating on Trump - he and his supporters are a clear and present danger to America.  Once we have lost our democracy, you are going to look around in dismay wondering why you didn't see democracy disappearing in front of your eyes.  Sad.

WOW!  We are a democracy the people's voices will be heard. It will be up to us live with the choice of the majority.

It is so interesting how I see the Biden administration literally destroying America. I see nothing that resembles democracy under this administration.

I have nothing in common with leftists, and actually hope we show them the door in the fall, and  2024.

I have great faith in Americans' common sense.

I'll "feed your obsession" by agreeing with you. I note that nobody has stepped up with facts regarding Trump's leaving the U.S. in better shape than when he took office. January 6 is a good argument against that.

"I note that nobody has stepped up with facts regarding Trump's leaving the U.S. in better shape than when he took office."

Really?  Discounting the effects of a Pandemic originating overseas, he greatly reduced illegal border crossings.  He brought unemployment, particularly black unemployment to the lowest point in decades.  He made us energy independent.  He brought businesses back into the country after they were driven out by taxes and restrictions.

It is indeed unfortunate that Biden reversed many of his actions, taking us right back to where we were.

Just a few - I'm sure you can find more if you try.

" he greatly reduced illegal border crossings." - So you SAY, but you are partisan and are required to say such things.  Where are the studies to PROVE that? I have presented data that shows his success was very fleeting indeed.

" He brought unemployment, particularly black unemployment to the lowest point in decades. " - EXACTLY what did he DO to achieve that other than sit around and watch it happen on its own momentum from the previous 8 years?  You have never presented any concrete evidence that a particular set of Trump policies led to that to a better outcome than what was already going to happen had Obama had another 4 years or Clinton had won.  Black unemployment would have ended up in the same place regardless of who was president.

"He made us energy independent. " - [NO, he didn't, Obama did as several of us have presented data previously proving just that. It is THAT kind of evidence I am asking for so that people can believe you.[/i]

"He brought businesses back into the country after they were driven out by taxes and restrictions." - That statement is a bit disingenuous, isn't it.  All Trump had to do was bring back just ONE business for it to be true.  I will stipulate that his policies[/b\ brought back at least one business.  But how many more businesses and how many jobs did his actions bring back?  Or was it cheap energy has this article suggests?  https://theworld.org/stories/2018-12-26 … s-are-they

"It is indeed unfortunate that Biden reversed many of his actions, " - You SAY that without giving any concrete examples of where 1) Biden's [b]policies
have made things at the border worse. I would argue it is your side lying about how easy it is to get across.  2) that black unemployment has increased from Biden's policies. 3) that businesses are once again fleeing like they did under President Bush.

You say that because you want Trump to destroy American, either on purpose or through sheer blindness of the truth.

Welcome back...  I must share ---  we have been beating this dead horse with ECO for over a year now. I actually kept a file so I could just copy-paste the response to his repetitive question about Trump's job performance.

To continue down this path feeding into what I see as an obsession.is futile.
