The Trump Base Won't Be Enough

There is a lot of talk about the 'winning' influence of Pres. Trump's endorsements and his continuing power over the Republican party.

Just as an opinion, I don't think his base of support will be enough to get his endorsed candidates elected to office. They may be winning primary races but I think they are so radical they will get trounced in the general elections.

Election denial may pull in the Trump base, but, from the start, it will turn off the Independents and moderates of both parties. The 'Rightwinger', (cred. to you know who), Republican party will win the primary battles and lose the general election war. That will be a big setback for Pres. Trump's future influence.

Even the Democrats think this, they are supporting radical Republican candidates in their primaries. I think that's a smart move.

I once predicted a Red Tsunami in the midterms, now, I'm thinking more of a 'coaster' wave, (not because of the Roe issue), but still a win.

      GA,

It is my opinion as well. That is why much of the Democrats strategy is to help along the Trump clone election deniers, Qanon fruits and nuts, Christian And White Nationalists to win their GOP primaries, so that we can "mop the floor"with them this fall. How much extremism is the majority of the American populace prepared to accept in their candidate? Democrats gamble that many of them have gone beyond the line in the sand. Mix that in with reproductive rights issues, that will not be ignored, and we will have a nice signature dish for next fall.

It is a "smart move". If the GOP takes the hit in November, maybe then they will retire Donald Trump to the pasture or jail, take your pick.

I still believe that because GOP have doubled down on the abortion issue since Roe, that too, will surreptitiously, if not explicitly become a part of the ballot this fall to the detriment of many of their candidates.

You better find a point to argue, or folks are gonna start talking.

But, since we do agree, the Republicans' coming campaigns for the seats are going to be hyperbolic. Somebody, (a candidate), is going to get stupid, (like that scream Dem of the past), about some MAGA issue, and say stuff that will immediately turn them into ghosts of elections past. CNN will need a box of tissues.

This is one possibility, perhaps even a probability.

The next step would then be to target these politicians and their more significant supporters and ensure that they are no longer a threat.

A combined effort by the DOJ, IRS, and FBI should be able to bury most serious opposition and those with economic means that support them before 2024 gets here.

Think of it as a bloodless anti-revolution.

I harken back to what we saw Canada do to those truckers, the Government was able to freeze all their assets, confiscate their property, and those truckers and their supporters had no ability to stop it.

The same will be able to be applied here, just more quietly and over a longer period, years vs. in one fell swoop.

I am sticking with a red sweep. I have a lot of faith that Americans are well done with failed investigations, and are now realizing these many investigations have well politicized the FBI and DOJ.

I feel Republicans and independents will come out in historic numbers. Trump's base plus tons of Republicans and disillusioned independents will produce a sweep.

The Democrats have become to see thorough, their ploys have become too dusty, and used too often.

There were MANY population uprisings in 2015-2019...

Hong Kong was rising up against China's takeover...

The British had their Brexit going on...

Peru, Argentina, Venezuela, India, the majority of the Middle East...

We had native... national uprisings... against the mass migration of millions upon millions of people into Europe and North America.

And of course in America there was the election of Trump... the American people's F.U. to the corrupt cronies in control in D.C.

Well... you have seen how they handled the growing discontent of the people.

Pandemic ... total lockdown the world over.

Trump went from residing over the best performing American Economy in living memory... to overseeing a Pandemic hijacked by Democratic Governors who locked down their States as if the Living Dead were attacking... while allowing Rioters to take over city streets as the MSM fed every racist and cultural division in our society it could.

Nationalism... America first... Closed borders... these are the beliefs that will get you put on the FBI's terror watch list if you voice them strongly enough.

There will not be another Trump Administration, there will not be anything like it coming from the Republicans.  It will not be allowed.  I suggest people start coming to grips with that, if Trump, a former President and Billionaire can be destroyed by those in the Halls of DC... trust me, they can do away with anyone they consider a threat, one way or the other.
