my mom and i were discussing all the crap obama is putting us through we both agreed that the vp needs to put a stop to it. but neither one of us could think of the vp's name. we couldn't even think of a single time when the vp has made any kind of public statements. does anyone here know who the vp is?

If you can't remember the VP's name or a single thing he's done as VP, it really doesn't bode well for how well informed you are regarding the policies of his boss. Just sayin'.

Joe Biden. He was just dissed in Israel. But your post illustrates another point, the lack of a connection of the people with their government! This is the reason why we are turning into a socialist nation! I urge you to get informed and get involved!

The deliberations of the Constitutional Convention of 1787 were held in strict secrecy. Consequently, anxious citizens gathered outside Independence Hall when the proceedings ended in order to learn what had been produced behind closed doors. The answer was provided immediately. A Mrs. Powel of Philadelphia asked Benjamin Franklin, "Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?" With no hesitation whatsoever, Franklin responded, "A republic, if you can keep it."

How can you not know who the vice-president is?  Where were you during the election campaign?  Your admission is shocking!

Suggest you start your day by reading the NY Times or your local newspaper and perhaps subscribe to a news magazine or two.

      There are your answers....

The Obama administration is simply an extension of the Bush administration.  Wake up, people!  Republicans, Democrats... THEY'RE THE SAME THING!  The powers behind the play want you to fight.  Divide and conquer....

Okay, seriously, I rarely hear the name of the VP in the news.  I am not a political person, so I don't follow activities - besides, I don't know where to find the information I'm looking for!  The newspapers tell you Nothing.  The news programs tell you Nothing.  I have finally determined if you don't live in DC or know someone who is associated with politics, all you will learn about is Scandals or a few unimportant laws After they are signed into law.

Studies have consistently found that the best-informed people are those who listen to public radio and/or watch public television.

      http://www.pbs.org/

People who watch the Daily Show With John Stewart also score high (even better than NPR/PBS, in fact), even though it's really a comedy show.

Joe really should speak in public more.

He never lacks for entertainment value.

Many Americans are ignorant of their government.

We could always have VP, or was it P, Cheney...

Then again, there haven't been as many embarrassing VP's as Dan Quayle..

This reminds me that, while Palin received a lot of attention in the last election, Republicans taking on dimwitted vice presidential running mates is common....

But with Bush and Cheney the roles were reversed......

I'm surprised anyone knows who Obama is! He hasn't had a press conference since July of 09! More of that "change you can believe in"! or was that transparency??? or.. changing the way Washington works??/ Or....??????
