OBITUARY
Born 1776, Died 2008
Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law, St. Paul , Minnesota , points out some interesting facts concerning last November's Presidential election:
Number of States won by: Obama: 19 McCain: 29
Square miles of land won by: Obama: 580,000 McCain: 2,427,000
Population of counties won by: Obama: 127 million McCain: 143 million
Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Obama: 13.2 McCain: 2.1
Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory McCain won was
mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country.
Obama territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in low income tenements
and living off various forms of government welfare..."
Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy"
phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the
nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase.
If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegal’s
and they vote, then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.
According to this theory, cows, prairie dogs and rattlesnakes should count equally in elections with human American citizens.
"Obama territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in low income tenements
and living off various forms of government welfare"
Maybe the retired people and disable people who u say are on welfare should join Loqueetha and her twelve children. The whole 40 percent! Should all come visit yall out there in McCain Country. Maybe speed up your prediction or force you to learn something about people before writing or quoting or believing such crap.
LOL. Who said I believed it? Who said I backed McCain?
I recall hearing a few years ago about someone claiming their dogs on their taxes. If it is true or not, I do not know, but I do know that a lot of what we hear thought untrue, is possible.
I'm sorry, what do you think about that little visit? Or should you concentrate more on the real people that are draining this country of its wealth.
Who are the ones really draining this country? It is my opinion that nearly all, if not all, politicians are the ones draining it.
There is an old joke that I heard a long time ago. How do you know when a politician is lying?
His lips are moving.
SirDent, I'm going to start praying for Armageddon. Only God can save us from this horrible anti-American, communist take over of our beloved country.
You should pray for Armageddon too.
Very true. Where is Rev. Jim Jones when we need him?
Wasn't he the one who fathered the phrase "Drink the Kool-Aid"?
Why pray for soemthing that is coming whether we like it or not? It has been prophesied and it will come to pass.
I think the professor forgot some smallish stats...
Electoral college Obama:365 vs McCain: 173
Popular vote 69,456,897[1] vs. 59,934,814[1]
Percentage 52.9%[1] vs. 45.7%[1]
I agree that he did indeed forget to mention those.
Now Greek,
Does that include all the possibilities of fraud?
Nobody "won" anything.
Sadly choosing between McCain and Obama was like choosing between Oral and Genital Herpes.
Yeah, but the people that voted and won the election obviously picked genital herpes.
I think you are talking about Clinton's election??
flightkeeper, that is just so WRONG! I love it!
I'll tell you what roused people (not aroused. well, maybe some people...but what "roused" people) was a spirit of vengeance from the Left. Reverend (and I use that term loosely) Jeremiah Wright shouted that America's "chickens have come home to roost"
and all the vengeful people with unnecessary nasty chips on their shoulders decided to run with that to get their agendas going. It wasn't just one group; it was several. And so we are where we are now, the blind leading the blind.
not sure why Brenda.. but when you get all right wing on me you turn me on!!
I'm always right wing.
And you are sometimes so perverse.
Sounds like a personal problem to me.
I'm beginning to wonder why I even bother conversing with you.
because you are open minded and enjoy hearing opinions that are different from yours
Ummm...no...that's not it. I guess it's 'cause I talk to 'most everyone, whether they're perverse or not, in the hopes of triggering that thing called a conscience in them, that hides underneath their blatant bravado
Now get your head outta that dirty magazine and think for a minute-------why would America deliberately elect someone who said he wanted to change America at its very foundation? I'd say he rallied the forces within American society that leaned anti-American, wouldn't you? Ergo the numbers add up (barring actual fraud, which you don't consider actual).
anti-American?
No.. i don't think the vast majority of American voters, whether they are on the left of the right are anti-American.
They might have different ideas of what America is and should be. They might be anti-poverty. They might be anti-government intervention. They might be anti-public health care, or anti-a lot-of-things....
But the vast majority of American citizens and voters are pro-America and want to change it for the better for themselves, they families and their fellow citizens. What 'the better' is, is a different thing to each person, but that is what elections are for.
The first step towards postitive change and constructive dialogue is to acknowledge that although others may have different perspectives and opinions, the vast majority or people believe in what they believe because they want a better world and country..... and marking someone with an anti-American tag is neither accurate or constructive.
I say that's hogwash.
What "the better" is, has to be evaluated by KEEPING those fundamental values, not tossing them out like table scraps. And on that basis, we should choose Candidates that fit the description of what an American is, and then go from there.
Time was when people's character was questioned when they spoke Communistic things. And rightly so. Now that Obama's credentials (and lack thereof) slipped through the system, it has brought outta the woodwork all those rebellious people who bring to the table their agendas disguised under "civil rights", just like the article SirDent posted points out, illegals and others who don't give a whit about America.
But both Jefferson and Hamilton had different views of what fundemental values were.... were they not both great Americans?
Throughout American history the other guy on the political spectrum was always anti-American or the devil. Just look at the stuff they said about Lincoln.
Do you really think that the millions who supported Obama were 'anti-American' or 'rebellious' people?
Greek said:"But the vast majority of American citizens and voters are pro-America and want to change it for the better for themselves, they families and their fellow citizens. What 'the better' is, is a different thing to each person, but that is what elections are for. "
Brenda said: "I say that's hogwash....Now that Obama's credentials (and lack thereof) slipped through the system, it has brought outta the woodwork all those rebellious people who bring to the table their agendas disguised under "civil rights", just like the article SirDent posted points out, illegals and others who don't give a whit about America."
Wow. Astonishing.
It looks like if you don't agree with Brenda, you're not anti-Brenda, you're anti-America.
She's even set herself up on the same level as Jesus Christ, who said,
Matthew 12:30--He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.
It's possible for people of good will to honestly disagree on matters of politics, economics, theology, fashion, &c without one of them being a scoundrel. If people would realize this, politics would be a lot less rancorous. But some people would rather have their version of the 30 Years War, I guess.
Good thoughts! We all should ponder your comment.
the good professor claims that this is a hoax. that he didnt write it.
Doesn't matter if it's a hoax, a lie, a huge untruth. The Rabid Right Brigade will use it anyway.
Truth in advertising is NOT an ideal they adhere to. Just the opposite in fact. WAY opposite!@
They make a joke out of America.....and themselves.
You wanna play low down and dirty? Anything goes? PATHETIC.
Where was Brenda during the Bush administration I wonder?
I suppose she was standing proudly by "real Americans" like Bush and Cheney.....
I am guessing Brenda also voted for McCain/Palin......which, had they been elected, would have ushered in an even darker period than we are now currently in......
"Anti-American".....the buzzword for those who love to stereotype and deride others while not knowing what "America" means themselves...
Real Americans understand the diversity of worldviews, and respect them....even if they are dissenting....
Anyone who tries to categorize "America" into a narrow value set or identity doesn't know what they are talking about.....i.e. B.D.
Way to go!
"With enactment of the FY2009 Supplemental (H.R. 2346/P.L. 111-32) on June 24, 2009,
Congress has approved a total of about $944 billion for military operations, base security,
reconstruction, foreign aid, embassy costs, and veterans’ health care for the three operations
initiated since the 9/11 attacks: Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) Afghanistan and other
counter terror operations; Operation Noble Eagle (ONE), providing enhanced security at military
bases; and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). Congress is currently considering the FY2010 War
request that was submitted to Congress along with DOD’s baseline request."
-from the Congressional Research Service publication (Sept 28, 2009) entitled "The Cost of Iraq, Afghanistan, and Other Global War on Terror Operations Since 9/11" written by Amy Belasco...
This exerpt is from the opening paragraph...
We have a trillion dollar deficit...and to mirror it we have a trillion dollar set of wars....of which at least one was illegal, fraudulent, and has not served, nor will serve, anything of value for Joe and Jolene American...
These wars, however, keep vast military employed...or else our current jobless rates would be much much worse....
If the United States has died, it passed during the eight years of Bush and Cheney.....while the incomes of ourselves, our children and grandchildren go to pay for Haliburton shareholders...like their former ceo.....what was his name??
We let the coup of war hawks tear the tax dollar reigns.........and what have we wrought...locally and globally?
But America has not died yet.....
Wow, you could never tell anyone's political persuasion from the silly responses to silly threads like these.
It's not silly--it'a pathetic. The right will use anything to get Obama out and them back in. Anything no matter how stupid and hysteria-driven!
In fact, the more hysteria-driven the better!
*sob* *sob* hence the Clown Chronicles on Fixed news.
AMERICA HAS NO DEATH. SOMEONE WILL LIVE THERE. SO NO OBITUARY IS NECESSARY.... BUT AMERICANS WILL DIE.
SAVE ALL OBITUARIES TO DYING AMERICANS IN IRAQ AND AFGANISTAN.

With Obama as president, America does not need any enemies. In fact, Obama is America's enemy. First, he blasted the Constitution as an outmoded document. He showed irreverence for the American flag, refusing to salute the flag. He furthermore embodied an...

Right in the middle of the 2008 presidential campaign, McCain suspended his campaign on the excuse that the economy was going "down the tank". Now he opposes Don't Ask, Don't Tell, even though the military brass and others agree to repeal the bam, because our economy is "down the...

Wild rumors fly during campaign time, and one of them is that Obama has an anti-American agenda that he has actively pursued and in the process has hurt our country. What do you think?
