Wisconsin's governor is hurting working Americans.

Freedom of assembly is a basic right expressed by the United States Constitution.  Therefore, public employees deserve to be allowed to organize to protect themselves from crooks, like Wisconsin's current chief executive. Therefore, the recent actions by said governor and his cronies in the Wisconsin State Legislature, tearing apart public employee unions, are unconstitutional.

I totally agree with you.  But the sad thing is, he doesn't care how many working people he hurts to try to get rid of Obama.  What it is about is hitting the due paid to the union that will be used to help the Democratic party.  It isn't bad enough that the corporations and he billionaires have the Republicans in their pockets, they are trying to stop the pittance of union dues.

I would like to point out, that at more than one of the Obama Rallies, that people actually brought weapons. This was during the election cycle, and later on when he did his town-to-town to lobby for HealthCare.

That being said, the Death Threats, being reported by FOX, seem to be legitimate. And as much, no one overtly threatened Obama during the election cycle, that I know of. The credibility of FOX is open to debate, however.

Really? That's a bit of a stretch isn't it? No ones rights have been taken away... in fact your rights to assemble have been more than accomodated as your marxist group of thugs occupied the capitol for days on end causing millions of dollars in damage! You want to talk about rights where is the right to work WITHOUT joining your union? This corruption had to be undone and I fully support Wallker and the republicans actions... your greedy group of thugs got what you deserved!

You are so wrong about that. I belonged to a union for 15 years, and every time an election came around, our union reps sent everyone in the union a list from pros and cons from both sides. They were very anti Bush, and have always urged everyone to vote democrat. So, whomever did this poll was probably at a republican polling station.

It exposed a lot of George Bushes lies when he was running against Gore, and again against Kerry. The unions in Michigan kept Jennifer Gramholm in Office, to keep out the greater evil, which is now our current republican jerk, who is attempting to follow the Wisconsin Gov, in squashing Unions here as well. You will find that most republican states are doing the same.

It is an attempt to bring wages down, and line their corporate buddies pockets with the huge amounts of cash they will make by being allowed to cut the average works paychecks by a third, with no Union power to stop them from doing it.

They claim having this extra money will allow them to hire more workers.
Bull Crap! They will do nothing more than raise their CEO's pay and further cut labor to make more money. Corporate america cares little about the working man, and were one of the biggest complainers about the raise in the minimum wage...Union or non Union.

The more that is done to hurt the american worker, we will have people working in factories for $5.00 an hour, while the owners of corporations
live like the Vanderbelts of the 1800s, while they continue to raise prices on their goods, even though nobody will be able to afford them.

The funny thing is, when the market crashes because of the massive poverty that result from it. Those corporate fat cats will find themselves in debt up to their eyeballs, and lose everything just like the rich of the 1800s did. And, the rest of us will laugh it them, and say I told you so!!

The American People are sadly deranged.

Of the Founding fathers, there was definately a liberal side (Jefferson and opposition to central banking), and Monroe (support of central banking). However, as political nature changed, the concept of a central bank has become a boon to government programs, and thus is more likely to be supported by Liberals

Washington was apolitical in many instances. He may have been considered the Centrist of his day.

Even Eisenhower, who was, during his time, a Republican. The Republicans controlled the house and the senate, and do you know what the tax rate was on every dollar above 400,000? 91%

90 cents out of every dollar. Ike was in favor of this taxation, to establish a balance of the books. No matter how much you might want to claim to balance the books, taxation is the only means. Whole generations of debt have built up, and the services provided by the debt you have enjoyed, whether liberal or conservative.

If you've ever gone to a church without fear of repression, you've enjoyed the military (which had its share of honorable serving liberals, including myself) protection provided by this debt. Every food product you eat is regulated by the FDA, which was afforded by this debt. Interstates.

Of course, you will not argue against those items. You will claim that it is because they are such a small balance of your life. However, the truth is, because you have used them. If you or your family were on work-fare, welfare, or medicare, you would support those programs.

It is however, your perogative to  whine about products which you don't use (even though technically they are a form of social insurance; i.e. there in case you should need them).  And if that is the basis of your argument, there is some legitimacy in that.

However, the fact that you support less taxation and less social services for those around you, does not make you selfless. Just in the same way that you can call a liberal selfish, they can say the same of you.

The Minimum Wage is a price floor. Therefore, if removed, the average wage will drop slightly, and specific jobs in America will drop significantly. It will likely be service jobs and agricultural.

You can argue that the minimum wage makes hiring illegals attractive. However, this is still a violation of the law, and is policed and regulated in its own way. Therefore there is incentive not to do so, considering the fines that can result.

However, one beneficial affect of lowering the minimum wage would be more people would be hired. However, the wage has already been proven to be very close to the point of diminishing returns, so, its debatable what reduction in unemployment this would actually cause.

Doubtful, when we introduced the minimum wage in the UK the right predicted massive job losses which just never happened! I'm sure that one or two people lost their jobs as a result of the minimum wage but there were so few as to be statistically insignificant.

I think it's fairly safe to predict from that that the reverse would have no effect either.

I'm sick of trust fund babies who have no clue how regular people live making rules. Do people forget if it were not for unions, child labor would be back? Minimum wage would never go up, and we would have more working poor who work two jobs and still cannot pay all their bills. Now we owe millions on a tunnel Christie decided we don't need, though we still have to pay the bill. He will be gone in the next election. Similar format to Legislators giving themselves raises no matter what the Rest of the State taxpayers want! Would you agree that the tax payer has a right to say no to Legislators doing this?

The one thing you libs don`t take into consideration is liberty loving people will always defend their God given rights to the death. You libs better respect the ballot box or you may find yourselves in a fight you don`t want.

Marxism never takes control without bloodshed, history never lies.

You talk that war talk, liberty loving people don't understand liberty. No american with any sense would want to take what you say too far. God gave all people rights not just liberty loving people. Thats Native Americans, Muslim Americans, African Americans, Asian Americans,  European Americans etc. It sound like you are ready to hurt anybody who would try to recall anybody y'all approve of... I know you wouldn't end the american way just because you want it your way.  Than maybe you would try that. So be it, thy will be done on earth, not your will. Libs are in two wars they don't want.

You darn right I would fight against those who are for big government and I feel no shame for saying it!

You drones are leeches and thats all you are. You twist the truth and your rhetoric anyway you need to as long as the ends are what you want. People like me are made fun of by you drones because you say we are extreme and yet your side has an absolute history of violence period!  It`s time conservatives stand up and let you drones know that you won`t take our America without a fight.

Taxpayers also pay for the tax cuts that Walker gave to rich corporations, which resulted in a budget shortfall that didn't originally exist.  He demanded middle class union workers pay that shortfall with cuts to their benefits and wages, which they had agreed to do.  That wasn't good enough for Walker, though.  He insisted they relinquish their rights to bargain in the future, so he can continue to serve his corporate masters, er, I mean donors.

"Therefore, the recent actions by said governor and his cronies in the Wisconsin State Legislature, tearing apart public employee unions, are unconstitutional."
"If new Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker has his way and Senate Bill 11 is passed in its entirety, two of Walker’s largest donors, oil billionaires David and Charles Koch (“the Koch Brothers”), could be handed free reign on Wisconsin public utilities."
