At least she's consistent. Lie, defend lie with more lies, prepare next lie.
Why are her groupies so gullible?
Maybe they have gay husbands, too, so they're used to believing things that aren't true.
Where was the lie? Arent you lying by claiming Bachmann lied? All she did was repeat what she was told, she didn't make the claim that the vaccine causes retardation.
Vaccines carry risk and HPV is transmitted by sexual contact it's not a health safety issue that the government should be involved in. Even flu shots aren't mandated and that is more easily spread through the population.
Repeating what you know to be a lie is lying, much like the lies you keep repeating about abortion. Repeating them ad nauseum doesn't magically change them into truths.
A woman told her that the vaccine caused her daughter to be retarded, thats what Bachmann related. She did not say the vaccine causes retardation but for you and others in the media to make that claim is simply lying! But you'll keep doing it because you fear her as president!
I heard from a guy that every Republican candidate is required to have sex with a chicken as part of his/her initiation. You don't have a problem with my statement do you? I did not say Republicans have sex with chickens, I'm just repeating a statement that some guy whose name I don't know said to me at an event.
I'm not lying.
Oh and then in true Bachmann style I will say the next day, "Look, I don't claim to be an expert on bestiality, I'm just telling you what I heard".
Wow! This could make for an interesting thread.
Everyone can list things they heard from unverifiable sources and follow with the statement "Hey, I'm just telling you what I heard".
Anyone who calls you out for your statement will only be doing it out of fear, so just keep lying. There will be no repercussions.
Nope I dont have a problem with you making such a statement and repeating it over and over. I would have a problem with someone lying that you made the claim, wouldn't you? Do you not see a problem with that? Would you be okay with somone claiming you are a pedophile if it weren't true?
Everyone can list things they heard from unverifiable sources and follow with the statement "Hey, I'm just telling you what I heard".
According to the Fox News team, this practice is called "journalism."
Right. Thats why the MSM is reporting Bachmann as having made the claim that guardasil causes retardation.
Having read the Bachmann quote, she was totally mealy-mouthed abou it. She said that she met this woman who says the vaccine caused her daughter to become mentally retarded and that is was a "very real concern."
It's not. It's a fake concern. That's what the doctors say, anyway, and given the choice between batty Bachmann and the American Academy of Pediatrics, I think I'll go with the doctors.
But Bachmann ignores the science (big surprise) and continues to pretend that there's a scientific reason to believe a link exists between the HPV vaccine and mental retardation. She's either willfully ignorant, or deliberately deceptive. Either way, not the sort of person I want in charge. I'd hope that nobody would want someone who is willfully ignorant or deliberately deceptive in charge, but willful ignorance and/or deliberate deception seems to be okay with the Tea Party crowd. (Death Panels, anyone?)
That is all she is good for. Lying and more lying. Not too mention the woman is crazy and openly hates gays and African Americans.
Where did you hear that? Your statement is not valid unless you can back it up with incontrovertible evidence such as: A guy I don't know told me that...
Wonder if she doubled down on Glen Rice? Would that be considered a slam dunk? Palin knows for sure.
Hope she's up to date on her vaccines...
well someone has to double down on Obama's lies
The vaccines are probably safe, but the argument that all girls of age 12 need to get vaccinated by an EXECUTIVE ORDER is pretty crap-tastic.
Also - Perry was getting money from the Company asking to make the vaccines.
If that's her argument, she has a problem there too. In Minnesota, kids are required - by state law to have the hep b vaccination. Unlike Texas, Minnesota does not allow you to opt out. Ms. Bachmann seemed to have no objection there.
Awesome point -but the sticky point is "was it by executive order"?
Bachmann's larger point seemed to be government intrusion. Perry is now saying he should have used the legislative process, but he still defends his position as pro-life. He's pretty slick at the pivot.
While you're here, I have to offer kudos to Ron Paul for his 9-11 statement last night. There's a lot of truth in his position that the U.S. government has made citizens vulnerable to terrorist attacks by it's actions in the Middle East. It was political suicide to make such a statement, but he stuck to his guns. Sometimes I have to admire the crazy old coot.
I'm really pissed off with CNN right now.
Perry and Romney were talking for 75% of that debate, and when the questions finally came to Paul (the Federal Reserve question didn't go his way, nor did the health care question), Blitzer finally asked Paul: "Why do you like murdering puppies?" and just yelled over Paul's response.
I've banned CNN from my google news feed because of that horrendously pathetic "debate".
I like Ron Paul. He never changes his statements like all of the other politicians. He believes in smaller government on the federal level. And I also believe that he would have the best chance in fixing this country.
But it was an executive order from a state governor, not a president, so it's no big deal. States' rights, right?
No, but seriously, I agree: Bachmann is an idiot for saying the vaccine is dangerous (and for many, many other reasons). Perry is a jerk (and probably also corrupt) for ordering everyone in Texas to be vaccinated. And Wolf Blitzer is a doofus for not being more even-handed in his debate moderation.
Texas has a State Constitution, and I'm sure that the action was also illegal. I haven't bothered reading their constitution, but I'm sure it's similar enough to every other state's and has a legislative branch.
Nice try, though.
He got $5000 from the drug company at a time when his campaign raised 30 Million. I'm thinking he wasn't too swayed by it. He admitted it was a mistake so what exactly is the problem? There was no executive order and no shots given because of this. I guess some of you libs should look at it as being for the children, y'all love to shove that one down our throats while attempting to ram crappy legislation through.
I know he isn't a lib, but you are, that's why I said some of you libs. I knew you would read my post, I'm just that good.
Wrong again Bub. You should probably quit the whole labeling game. Your track record is not very good.
S***, I actually agree with Bachmann on something. Not her facts, mind you, but the end result.
I'm going to go wash my brain out with Lysol now.
That was exactly what I was thinking when she said that.
The thing is Bachmann is hypocritical here. How are you going to say we should outlaw abortion yet complain about "mandated" medical procedures? I guess the same way she thinks we should keep those in persistent vegetive states alive but kill otherwise healthy inmates.
Abortion isnt a "medical proceedure", it's the taking of a life, denying that person the constitutional protections afforded to him/her for the convenience of another.
'Abortion isnt a "medical proceedure", '
If the anti-abortion people get their way, it sure won't be a medical procedure anymore....
It is possible that God told her husband to have her and other politicians to vote that way. I am just saying
It is no surprise that Perry wants Texas oil money and so denies global warming.
Perry argued that he couldn't be bought for $5,000.
... first off, what a dumb thing to argue: I know a man who can't be bought out at all: Ron Paul...
But secondly, the number was actually MUCH MUCH MUCH higher.
Rick Perry CAN be bought, and all it takes is about a hundred thousand:
http://blog.chron.com/rickperry/2011/09 … much-more/
He's also gotten a lot of money during his political life from people who casually made a lot of money while he was governor.
reminds me of a joke..
A man comes in to see President Lincoln at the White House. He says, "Mr. President, I'll give you a hundred dollars if you'll endorse a bill that will let my company make a bundle of money." Lincoln says, "No, Sir, that offer is beneath both of us."
The man replies, "I did not mean to insult you. I'll give you five hundred dollars."
Lincoln starts to get angry. "Sir, you do insult me, and I'll thank you not to continue!"
The man replies, "My apologies, Mr. President. Let me offer you five thousand dollars."
Lincoln jumps up, punches the man in the jaw, and throws him bodily out of the oval office.
Lincoln's secretary asks him what the fracas was about, and Lincoln replies, "Well, every man has his price. And he was getting dangerously close to mine."
Actually, Lincoln was a Railroad Lobbyist. He was very much in the business of selling souls.
Many of the railroads that he lobbied for ended up being able to build because the US unconstitutionally used the army to wage total war on Indian Tribes that got in the way of their unconstitutionally subsidized railways.
FROM SEA TO SHINING SEA!!! Thank you Lincoln, for helping eradicate the Indian Tribes! (sarcasm, btw)
"A woman told her that the vaccine caused her daughter to be retarded, thats what Bachmann related. She did not say the vaccine causes retardation but for you and others in the media to make that claim is simply lying!" Too Bad the Center for Disease Control and the Federal Drug Administration have no documented cases of anyone ever developing mental retardation on account of the vaccine. If you want to hear more wonderful quotes from Bachmann feel free to check out my hub http://daskittlez69.hubpages.com/hub/Mi … nns-quotes
I loved it when Bachman said that everyone needs to learn American history....
But she left out when shed be starting with herself.... Maybe she's secretly enrolled in a community college somewhere (even though that sounds like a socialist educational system)...
On a tangent, I was very happy when Perry talked about what Texas has done concerning undocumented who are trying to benefit his state... He got booed, of course, but it's great to see that there's one Republican out there who views the human problem within the immigration debate....
Ron Paul did himself no favors agreeing with Blitzer that people without insurance should just die... But, then again, it was also a loaded question... The premise was that a person who could afford insurance decides not to, and then has something very bad happen that requires him/her to have medical insurance...
With so many people out of work or underemployed...the reality is that many can't afford insurance at all... In the world of Blitzer, I suppose, they don't exist...
The GOP debate looks more and more like a circus all the time...
Did you notice Bachmann didn't answer the question. She immediately turned to Obama’s health-care legislation!
You libs crack me up! You all hate capitalism and corporatism until it fits in with your lib ideology to have government make our decisions for us! No, no problem with Perry ordering a Merck vacvine being given to little girls by force of executive fiat earning Merck millions! Of course you all buy into the fact that its "safe" because the government said so, and naturally you now can criticize Bachmann for her position, which she is 100% RIGHT ON!
http://m.cbsnews.com/fullstory.rbml?fee … deofeed=36
Perry getting the nomination is scary as Obama would win...Perry is a liberal in hiding....he was Gore's boy after all.......Bachman does make some good points....I just wonder if she could beat Obama
She would win! Anyone will win against Obama! But you're right about Perry, I'm not sure he's all that conservative and he certainly isn't as principaled as Bachmann.
I hope you are right lady regarding anyone can beat Obama......I mean he already has 1 million votes from graveyards....
Yeah! She's currently polling at about 4% of the wingnut party.
Math really isn't that difficult.
http://www.cdc.gov/vaccinesafety/vaccin … dasil.html
Read and try to understand facts prior to posting. You'll won't embarrass yourself so badly.
Fine you want to use a govt agency to claim its safe I like my source better, the doctor that actually produced the trials! Maybe you should have read that before embarrassing yourself.
And she quoted statistics to back up her point right?
Maybe she should have said, "someone told me"
8% of the Vares reports were CONFIRMED SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS, thats from YOUR source. And as was pointed out the vaccine is only good for 5 years so giving it to 12 year old girls and exposing the to SERIOUS side effects to prevent a disease that can only be contracted bu unprotected sex seems REALLY STUPID if you ask me!
Read it again and do the math...
On the other hand, never mind. Just say "someone told me" and it will all suddenly be true.
I dont need to read it again, YOU need to read your own source.
the gov approves one med and then recalls it a year later where have you been ron.....well probably up obama's a$$ like most liberals lol
http://m.cnbc.com/id/44522619/Michele_B … octors_Say
Yet another source backing Bachmann on her claims which are based in science, but its science that the left wants to ignore. So I guess the lubs here like Perry and would back him as president? Or is it that libs just like mandates, being told what to do by government because they are either incapable of maki g a decision or they are afraid of making a mistake and trust government will make the right choices for them. Seriously, thats the stand you libs want to defend???
Do you EVER look at the sources you quote? Piles of BS from a wingnut organization do not constitute science.
Right...CNBC is a right wingut media company! Lololol
msnbc is the most liberal piece of crap....nothing but anger from the left of the left of the left.....lol
I can show you a clip of Matthews gushing like a school-boy after Bush went into Iraq.
3 words:
Scarborough
Rattinger
Steele
Liberal? my butt!
No sources necessary. The wingnuts have been repeating the chant "the mainstream media is liberal" for years.
It's like the kid who thinks the teacher hates him because he got a C. It couldn't be because he earned a C. The teacher must have it in for him.
Same kind of thing.
The press is reporting that our guys are doing bad stuff. It can't be because they're doing bad stuff. The press must hate conservatives!
"She repeated one parent's statement that the vaccine apparently caused cognitive problems in her child, and no one has disproven that possibility."
The best line in the whole thing...
Instead of trying to figure out for themselves if the story is true or not, they are going to erroniously attempt to pursuade their readership that it is true solely based on the story not having been shown to be false..
http://www.cdc.gov/std/hpv/stdfact-hpv-and-men.htm
http://www.cdc.gov/std/hpv/stdfact-hpv.htm
"A researcher for the HPV vaccine was even critical of its use without more complete warnings. She pointed out that the data available for the vaccine showed it might last only five years, while most of the recipients of the vaccine would not even encounter the disease during that period." (Lady Loves article)
On average, girls first have sex around the age of 14... Which means there are also those having sex before that age... School is one of the places that create sexual experiences..
"But the disease it supposedly protects against is not even contagious in the school environment." (Lady Love's article)
Yeah... that statement does not even make sense...
This article was obviously written (poorly at that) by a paid political hack...
The Lady Love is cut from the same piece of burlap....
I'm really a little confused...here's a Tea-Bagger, who made an executive order that FORCES girls to take a vaccine, and the dude makes money off the vaccine, and NO ONE on the right screams about the Constitution.
No one on the right screams about freedom.
No one on the right says a dam thing......except Bachmann, but SHE would force girls to give birth against their will!
Gosh...where is the personal liberty fellas?
If there's dollar to be made,,,right out the window.
You are confused, there was never any executive order given. There was never any forced vaccinations given. Hope that unconfuses you.
Or maybe he did, anyway it was blocked so who cares?
I care. Since you all have a spotted COW about "Obamacare"...the mandate the mandate!! Ohhhhhhhhh, the CHAINS AROUND MY NECK.
So--when Perry Forces you...you don't mind.
When Bachmann wants to force me...you don't mind.
It's only Obama that gets you.....so that means it's not about the principle at all. It's only about him!
I didn't care and all 3 of my girls were vaccinated (by choice), just as they were for ALL of the mandated vaccinations. You got anything else? Forcing me to buy health insurance is quite different than mandating an immunization that will protect from a nasty disease, I know you don't get that.
Oh, I get it just fine. You have an excuse for everything that goes against the principles you claim to espouse!
No, you really don't get it. But don't worry about it.
Perry is a Progressive... always has been always will be. he has no chance to bag the Conservative vote. but we all knew the RNC Progressive ESt and Fox would try to stanck the field so deep with progressives that you couldn't help but to vpte for one... but still a lot of time for a true conservative to show up.
Perry is a Progressive like I'm the tooth fairy.
Progressives care about all people...he doesn't.
You're not following the logic. Only .000001% of the U.S. population is NOT progressive. Famous liberals through history include Hitler, Ghengis Kahn, Napoleon, Grizzly Adams, Mr. Green Jeans, .....
FINALLY we agree on something!
That's exactly what I thought, too!
Progressives don't care about anyone but themselves and only pretend that they are motivated by compassion in order to get unsuspecting and trusting people to swallow their poison of oppression. Why else would dems pass a stimulus bill that keeps union teachers employed and pay for it by cutting food stamps?
So her telling what a mother of a young girl told her happened, makes her a liar?
Because you don't believe it could have done that?
Well then the issue you have is with the woman who thinks the injection can do that... all Bauchmann did was repeat a womans sorrow to the world.
Or do you not believe the woman told her?
That is legitimate... to wonder if the woman was real... but to call her, bauchmann, a liar because a woman expressed to her that the injection retarded her daughter, and she expressed that story to the people, is BS.
No, according to the HubPages expert on definitions, progressives, liberals etc. include all of us except for a handful of sainted "real" conservatives.
Praise Jesus
Oh REAL-ly.
People who question other people's authentic entitlement to be in their self-proclaimed exclusive club/camp
are real ___________________________s.
Libs, or progressives, know who they are but for the most part are ashamed to admit it thats why they came up with no labels.
Kind of like teabaggers calling themselves patriots.
Or pretending that they're not just garden-variety Republicans with worse spelling skills.
That's a poor analogy. I'm a proud conservative and supporter of the tea party patriots!
I'm so tired of all of these politicians and their bull crap! Are there any truly intelligent, caring people left on this earth? Where are they? They're not involved in government I know that for a fact! I realize that everyone needs to be knowledgable in the officials who are running their state and country but how can we do that when they're all idiots and liars? Who can we trust, seriously?
I'm a proud progressive proudly promoting Peter Piper picking pecks of pickled patriot peppers.

There are rumors floating around today that Minnesota representative Michele Bachmann is considering a 2012 presidential run. Bachmann is seen as a far right conservative and the polar opposite of Senator Al Franken, also from Minnesota. So what does everyone think of Bachmann's chances? Did anyone...
