Which are the Countries with More Women than Men?

Every country needs more women than men, it's to do with increase, zero population growth, or decrease.  It's a long time since I did this stuff, but if my memory serves me well, there has to be 106 daughters born to every 100 women of child bearing age just to maintain a stable population.  Male children can be much lower, we don't need as many men to ensure population stability.  Given that it takes 24 hours for sperm count to become high enough to fertilise, 1 man in 100 days can impregnate 100 women, 1 woman in a 100 days can only get pregnant once, no matter how many partners she has.
I think that those figures are about right.

Its hard to believe but there's a state in India called Kerala where population and the literacy rate are more of women than men.

Do you mean country or regions within countries? Then there are states within those regions each of which has a different ratio of women to men. To find this information you would need a specific software that could download and sift through the demographics.
Or you could do it yourself. One excellent source is "The CIA World Factbook." This lists populations of every country in the world but it doesn't do a specific breakdown within each country.
You have to consider also that warfare in various countries can change the demographic almost overnight.
For more specific information try the United Nations Statistics Division, Statistics and Indicators on Women and Men. There are also other statistical databases compiled by other organizations on a more regional basis..

In the Ukraine, there are more women than men - due to low birth rate and war....

there will probably eventually be more women than men in the entire world because of war..

In countries, like China, where men are more valued than women, there are often more men than women. This is obviously due to either infanticide or abortion.

When social pressures don't interfere, there will generally be slightly more men than women at birth. But men being more vulnerable biologically the result is usually the reverse. In the USA and Western European countries are examples of this: more women than men. (in old age there are more women)

I really don't know the answer for this question, but let me tell you about a State in Brazil.

The State of Minas Gerais is one of the leading States of Brazil that has more women than men.

In fact, one city named Governador Valadares located in Minas Gerais State, according to the latest Sensus, for every man born, 4 women are born in that city.

So, this might not answer your question but, it might help you with survey!
    Good luck!

In India, the northern conservative states has low female count but in southern Kerala there are more women than men. On the world count, I think Ukraine tops the list!!

just about all of them save a few . China and India and a few Arab country which want a son to be 1st born and that didn't work out. men fight, war, trying to make money, getting in deal that they have no business in all  and get themselves kill all in the pursuit o to get women. why. because even if men can't live without them ,women are jerks. but what a man to do.to add on this 9 out of ten woman can walk up to a man and said let do it and will get a yes. men  walk up to a woman and say let have sex may be 1 out of 25 woman will say yes and that a guess for it may be more like 1 out of 50, may be 100. of course the odd is about 1 in five  or better if ask with money in hand. but here in the U S it way more woman that men. and I live in Washington D C and any time you go out it always way way more woman out than men. bon appetit.

I am not sure but throughout the whole world there are more sons born than girls, and as age progresses, more men are dying than women. So the older the population is of a country then there are more women in older ages.

To my mind, I am not exactly sure (I used to work in a Population Office) and the data in the UN said that all over the world, there are more men than women all across ages, but as I have said, as people aged in a population, there are more women left in older ages.

China has a large woman over man ratio. It actually was quite the concern not too long ago because without a suitable men-women ratio (in addition to other conerns such as age gaps, etc), it was becoming a concern that more women would be stuck at home (with parents) for longer periods of time and/or not getting married at all.
This of course effects the country considering their a deeply cultural one...without suitable men within the the appropirate age range per women, it would mean less family names being carried on and less family support (financially) for older individuals since generally the male would bring home more work and/or money than a female.
I believe that was part of the reason why the one child per home law (in china) was revised to allow a second try for a son, if your oldest was a girl.

All the countries of the world have more women than men. The birth statistics everywhere show less males being born while the death statistics show more males dying. It's not just the U.S, it's world wide. And if you're a Christian, there's a hint to this in the Bible.

China at this time is having a problem with a declining female population as is South Korea.  My English language students in both Thailand and South Korea told me that male babies are favored over female babies.  Males have a cultural tendency to stay with their  families while females tend to marry, if they find a husband, and move out of the family home.  I was told that in China, often, female babies are done away with at birth.  Males are preferred. It would appear that both China and South Korea can be eliminated from the list of countries with more women than men.

Not a country, per se, but the city of Cuenca in Ecuador is teaming with women....far more than men.  Why is this?  Most of the men have had to leave the city to look for work elsewhere, leaving the girls behind.  I guess it stinks if your a women in Ecuador..but if you're a single guy who likes Latin women, Cuenca is definitely the place to be.

There are more females in the world than male. List of countries by sex ratio.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_co … _sex_ratio

When you look at the map you will see almost the whole world in Pink color which represents females. Blue color represents male. The only countries with high male ratios are the whole continent of ASIA , GREENLAND and parts of South America where there are more males than females.

At what age? As in many countries women tend to outlive men, the wider the age range the more likely it is that there will be more male than female.

Anyhow the wikipedia chart already linked to is a good indication.
