I can define it in several words but the one that best suits it is...
    Commitment.

1 word to define it: ADVENTURE . Adventures come with ups and downs, you go one step at the time looking front of you, not behind.

    Soulmates

At least that is what we hope we've found in each other.
Finally there is someone who not only "gets us" but they want to grow old with us.

Surely the word that best defines a marriage (successful!) is complicity!

As much as my marriage can be wonderful the one word I best describe it is "Challenging"

    Challenging........

is the  one most encompassing word that I know to describe the state of  marriage.

It is not for the faint hearted.........not for the long run.

It's difficult to define marriage in one word but I think the most suitable word would be the "LOVE".

    Everlasting

This is the "til death do us part" of the vows.

Akuigla, you tease. First you know marriage can't be reduced to a single word. Second, you know Hubpages' computer has trouble with single-word answers.
