      There are children being abused by perverts the world over. The difference here is that this little girl was physically mature enough to be ovulating. Not to say what has happened isn't horrendous, but how much worse can it be for little girls who are not sexually or physically mature enough for intercourse. What physical damage must they suffer?

      It is frustrating, babies having babies themselves, their future is ruined and the baby too because the truth is a 12 years old is still a child.. Babies taking care of babies...
      
      We have a case in the Philippines where a 12 years old girl gave birth and her mother as well is only 24 years old. At twenty four she is a grandmother already, two generations..
      
      The family is very important in this case, I mean the family of the girl should be there for her, and what else can we say but the law system should penalize the man, how old is the man?

   Very true Aya.  The way I recall, 15-20 years ago a 10 yo girl gave birth in Russia, and the father was her 14 yo husband.

   Pretty astounding to us.
   
   Ripley's believe it or not found either an African or Asian community in which a girl even younger than 9 had a baby.
   
   I see the news of an 11-year-old having a baby recently and remember the health clinic attached to our education facility, in which an 11 ot 12 year old went into labor in the waiting room. It was very sad, more so because her mother would not come to help her, saying that no one had helped her at the same age (she was a very young grandmother that day).

    This is appalling.  Imagine all the other young children and youths who are in the same/similar predicament, but it is unknown to the rest of the world.  There are plenty of children in distressing circumstances.

    The Daily Mail has a long history of scouring the world to find stories to shock and enrage their readers. In fact, the whole point of the newspaper is to serve their readers need to be driven into a frenzy of righteous indignation.
    
    I know because I grew up in a house where the Daily Mail was always on the breakfast table.
    
    I reckon it's the Daily Mail that has made me so obsessed with facts. Anything to build a wall against the torrent of xenophobia,  hatred, and 'gut reaction' that that newspaper represents so eloquently in little-Englander land.

    Will, very well said, sensationalist headlines to feed the hunger of the ghoulish in our society, to cause moral panic towards a people or culture, however, as I have already pointed out this has occured all over the world where children are giving birth, Indeed as the record shows a 9 years old girl gave birth in Brazil....a 5 year old gave birth in Peru...so why are we higlighting China......The Daily Mail has plenty of perverts closer to home if they want to write banner headlines and cause moral panic......still this is the type of filth that makes the owners of the Daily Mail millionaires.....
