   What is Money to you?
   
   We heard that money is the root of all evil. Why? To you what do you think about money? What is your point of view about this issue?

   I know many will not believe me & some may laugh, but money has a limited meaning to me.  Rather than have my children raised by a relative or a paid sitter, I worked from my house and raised all 3 of my children while working until they reached the age to attend public school.  I could have spent more time earning money.  I could have gone to work for a company and earned a 9 to 5 salary with benefits.  But, my family was more important to me than a new car, an expensive vacation every year and all kinds of toys.
   
   I do not mean to denigrate mothers and fathers who work outside the home and send their kids to sitters or relatives.  Some have to do so.  It was a decision I made and one that was important to me.  I wanted to see my children grow up.  My children have been my life.  My children have been more important to me than money.  My wife as well.  My particular career can be a part-time job, a full-time job or a 24/7 job.  There is no limit on the time I can put in and time is money.  But time is also precious.  And I would rather spend the limited time I have on this Earth living and breathing with my family than with acquaintances or strangers.
   
   Money to me is no more than a means to survive.  A means to feed and provide for my family.  There is a point where enough is enough.  I do not need to be a millionaire.  I need to be happy.

      We do not agree on religious philosophies, but we do agree on family.  Your familial story is one close to my heart.  I moved my career to the backseat & put my wife & children first.  I also work from home & I raised my children.  I feel

   Money to me is just to use for buying food, keeping a roof above my head and to pay for my bills Ronilo.  And to have a little money left to indulge in buying new clothes and shoes, also I use money to help my family in the Philippines. To leave aside a little bit for emergencies and for future use. Talking about money magpapadala ako sa Tatay ko ngayong buwan.

   Money to me is for the basic needs and never once thought of it as materialistic part of my life.
