Stands By My Side is another poem that is targeting grief. A mixture of feelings, and the effort to try and make rational sense of them, accompanied by the hope that, that person is still with you in some way or another.
Trading Minutes for Miles is a poem about grief. It's about loss in a raw form that most of us can identify with. I write for the sake of personal healing, and hopefully passing that on to another.
Just writing off the top of my head. Haven't written in a while and am trying to get back into it.
Sadness. Broken. That's about it.

I've been working a lot and haven't been around much, professional writing is a time consumer and the idea of writing poetry after writing 5-10,000 words of articles isn't as appealing :) here goes:::

Just started off spilling thoughts, gradually molding a story, then I kind of changed the tune from dark to kinda gothic/romantic. Not sure how I feel about it overall. Hope it's enjoyed.

I read a limerick and had never seen one before, so in looking at the basic details of guidelines for one, aabba, 8 syllables per (a) line 5 syllables per (b) I believe it was, I gave an attempt just for the sake of trying it. Found it enjoyable and different. =)
