Treating each other as Gods and Gods alike. To be human...understanding, compassion, laughing, helping etc. You know, whatever it takes to help a brotha out. peace.
Good day everyone!
Religion is “the service and worship of God... commitment or devotion to religious faith or observance” .
Religion may be sincere or insincere; true or false; rewarding or vain
(Matt. 15:9; Jas. 1:26-27).
For me It gives direction in life, it ought to mean purity, it ought to mean victory over sin of this world, it helps to define our very being.
What a shame. You poor thing. I really feel for you.
Have you considered defining your very being yourself instead? It is very rewarding.
I am reatively new around here, but can't help but notice you do not seem to get
a lot of response to your posts, try as you might. So what is it a trick question? Are you askin' or tellin'?
Religions are teachings of the Master, the prophets, The enlightened Ones.
Bottom line-meditate everyday and find god.

Many have said this poem is a masterpiece ,to what an enlightened piece of writing to what a thesis, I applaud you on your research,it is impossible to write etc etc.
I cannot force you to understand or appreciate it.I believe there is not a single poem written by man which matches up to this poem not counting other poems from my book Ponder Awhile, forget Shakepeare,I allways said I am much better than him.

LOL
Many people have eaten a McDonald's hamburger - that doesn't make it any good.
But I asked you to stop spamming the forums and you tell me you are a better writer than Shakespeare, which just about sums up your mentality. Please stop cluttering up this forum with spam and insults. Please.
The question is
Religion, what does it means?
So it means I am answering the question and not spamming. Why dont you answer the question?
Mohit - allow me to make a serious comment:
Poetry is not just 'content' presented in rhyme. Even if the content of your poem here were the most enlightened wisdom ever uttered by man, that, in itself, would not make the poem good as a poem.
Francois Villon (Google him if you like) wrote one of the world's great ballades in a French dungeon "The Ballade of the Hanged" the night before his execution. (By luck, the King rode through the town that night, so all prisoners were released - a traditional medieval amnesty, so he walked free). The Ballade was not 'enlightened'. It was full of bitterness and self pity. Not a pretty mixture, But it was/is great because Villon was a great poet. One who single-handedly rescued the tired old ballade form from obscurity and gave it new life.
Poetry is about words. The affective power of language. You can have divine poetry about lice and you can have lousy poetry about divinity. An example of the former is Robert Burns's 'To a Louse'. I'll stop there.
paraglider if anyone gets ranked in the top 100 for that year means he is a very good poet and deserves merit for his or her achievement.I would congratulate anyone in the top 100 gladly.
I notice you never talk about poetry, only about 'rankings'. But we've heard it over and over again. You can't force people to agree or be impressed by sheer repetition.
I talk about my poetry rankings. Many have understood My poetry is the best, when will you.?
He Used to be a Football star. A poem made up by Sandra (that's me) dedicated to those living in the past.
He used to be a football star,
he's interception dominated the field,
his glory was his fist, his weakness...
no one around to witness it.
One day the audience was small,
he felt incapable of playing ball
for it was always in his mind,
that football meant nothing
without someone to share it with.
He fell off the stand,
he clapped his hands
he made a fist,
and a tomato caught him off gaurd.
They laughed, get off the stage you poser,
this field is for the birds,
Oh how the football player became angry,
shaking his fist at the birds,
feeling sorrow for the audience
who did not care for football,
after all they were there to watch the birds.
Shorty after, he retired
his head bruised till his passion
became drunk on fury.
He died that day on the field
he believed that he was to entertain people with
his skill for football, but in the end
they came for the birds,
and the football star that could have been
resented all his fans, because one day
they didn't come for him.
Well, I think we can all agree that Mo's poetry is the third worst in the universe.
So, I created a google poetry search engine to search the best poetry sites on the 'net.

It will search the following sites:

You look at the glass half empty and not half full. I am talking Best Book Buys -28 bookstores including amazon and Barnes and Nobles,if you think this is small then I cannot help you.
Actually I think the glass is broken and your achievement is pathetic. I am also sick and tired of listening to you tell everyone what a great poet you are. As is everyone else.
It seems to be your goal in life to ruin this forum with your spam and self promotion.
Please stop spamming the forum.
All you can do is insult as you have no knowledge to write about god.Dont tell a religious poet what to write on a religious forum. What do you think of yourself? You come on this religious forum and tell people who believe in god that they are stupid, dont you have anything better to do in your life, arent you going out of your way?
Religion means you feel the need to be with people who think and feel the same as yourself. I think Mohit has a religion of his own. I think he worships himself and worships his poetry. Can a person do that? I guess so.
Mohit hates everyone but himself.
Like the poet Iqbal says "I bow to those who bow to god and his creations"
Read the poem again then you will understand what I feel about religions. You need to go back to the topic the finger pointing to the moon or foucus more on the message than the messenger.I have given you a message concentrate on it and write about Religions on this thread because that the topic. If it diverts to more knowledge then its okay but if the original question is not answered then please go back to it.
Religion is a crap shoot. I dislike religion for 1 reason, well actually a lot of reasons but mostly because they try and brainwash you into beleiving and conforming to things you do not believe and somehow mangae to convince people that thier actions are right because God made them do it.
Well God doesn't make anyone do anything. God can do things and offer you a choice and I choose to decline to be apart of any religion.
I was thinking I would be a Jehovah's witness, but I changed my mind because I don't need to be apart of a relgion to serve Gods purpose nor do I need to feel like I am part of anothers group to feel like I have a place in this world.
My place is in chosing to believe in God in my own way and when anyone says, you can't do that, or God will do this to you, or you should repent or you should bla, bla, bla, I say go take it up with God and see what He says about it, until then all relgion ever does is cause people to feel horrible about themselves, it makes people with ignorant egos to exhault themselves, and it causes stupid genicide, rediculas treatment, unfair treatment of fellow man kind.
Religion never practices what they preach.
I have my own religion, it's called if God don't want me for His sunbeam then I don't want God for mine.
"Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from the mediocre mind".
Albert Einstein
For once I agree with you Mo - You are nothing if not mediocre.
Mo you are a delusional egomaniac, accepting this is the first path to changing it.
If you cannot change it at least you could say you tried. I am not saying you are not enlightened I am just saying you are far far too self absorbed and that it offends me and others as well.
You need help man, no one is faulting you for the desire to write poetry, only your relentless campaign to promote the idea that you are one of the great poets alive right now.
I truly hope you get help by first helping yourself.
I was talking about Religions ,that they are teachings of Great Spirits-Masters and are beautiful. Its not Religions but man who is to blame.
My young friend you are going overboard with me also you told the Wedding consultant he was not worth reading because of two lines when he has written interestingly and intelligently for pages.Dont act too smart ,you are not.Next time you are not polite I will not answer you.

Excellent, we all have self-created titles now. I like this one.
Mo - considering the insults you have hurled at me because I don't believe what you believe, this is rich coming from you.
Enlightening even
I have answered some questions brilliantly including this one.It will help humanity and thats what matters to me.
I was thinking...everything in life comes at a cost.
So love came at the cost of suffering, what's the math here?
Punder a file...
With a current score of 65, Mo must have a huge following, indeed.
Ranked over masterpieces like Khalil Gibrans The Prophet, yes I do have a large fan following.
I repeat I have been reclusive and am now stepping out.
According to your stats, you stepped out 3 months ago. It appears as if you are your own biggest fan. I feel somewhat less intelligent for having read these posts.
I stepped out a little more than a year ago on Maha Shivratri, put up my first picture on the net.
I was aslo accepted by famous poets and poems around two years back because of my credentials but refused to provide a photograph back then,so they did not put me up.A lot of poeple thank me for my poems.Intelligent people say I am intelligent and foolish say I am foolish. What you say about me is a reflection of you.
You must carry two egos around, in the unlikely event that the first one isn't large enough.
rmr
no official title, but all around great guy
If and when you get ranked 1or enlightened you will also have an official title.Be nice I will be nice, give me arrogance and I will show what arrogance can be.
Well, the quality of your boasting is certainly improving, although, it would appear I am the third most stupid person on the planet.
Everybody helps him to improve the quality of boasting. He is much experienced in that now
I just read a couple of his poems, and I must admit to liking them. They remided me of the ones my kids used to bring home from school. The cute ones, all written in crayon.
You find this poem ,this answer childish. You are the one who is childish.
This poem will help humanity in billions and I really do not care if a few are perturbed.

See Mo - It is OK if I call me stupid, but if you do it, that is a personal insult. I have complained about your behavior and will ask you once again to stop insulting me just because I do not hold your beliefs.
Well according to Mo, what you call people is a reflection of yourself, so Mo called you a fool, so that makes him a fool. Or did he call you something else, so many I can't keep up. After all, you are what you speach. Punder a file!
Since you believeyourself to be more knowledgeable than me in matters of the spirit, why dont you share your knowledge on God in a book and get ranked over me.This goes for some of you who believe you are more intelligent than an enlightened one ranked over Gibran. Right now with my rankings believe me intelligent humans are going to listen to me rather than any of you. Some I have no problem with and this does not include them.It takes a master to recognise another master. The site Best Book Buys is a master in its own rights and have rceognised me and I am very happy to be ranked so highly on such a huge library.
The point Mo, is you never stop talking about your book and your rankings and rubbing it in other peoples faces. On this forum people are hear to learn and share thier knowledge not be distracted by futile attempts to let people know you are soo enlightened because you published a book.
At first, I was like congradulations, but now everyone knows and we want to move on to learning, but what you do here is gloat about your stats. No one is jealous, as a matter of fact when you first started posting here they were proud of you and recognized, but now, no one cares because you haven't offered anyone anything but your book since.
What else do you want? Most of your post are about your book and yourself or about belittling anyone who refuses praise your efforts. We already know, so can we move on to something more challenging other than sarcasim and slander?
It's been fun for sure, I can't say I have not gotten a laugh out of you but don't you think it is time to stop bragging about your book and teach like the teacher you say you are?
My book is knowledge and by quting from it I am sharing knowledge. And thanks again for congratulating me as you were the only one on this forum to do so,If you recall a few of your friends mocked my rakings ,what was I tosay thank you for your kind words?
Stop replying to mo guys, your giving him attention and balooning his narcissist ego as he draws from all of us.
welll it is sorta fun to see how he responds because everyone knows the outcome and we are all egging it on, at least I am for the laugh factor.
Mo is a dull 10 watt bulb.
Oh snap, what will he say next. I know, I can pretty much recite everything he says.
"you are not enlightened, only foolish people call me foolish" oh, my favorite, if you don't honor and respect me then the Universe will pour it's wrath out on you because the Universe was made for me, and the Earth is not spinning".
Oh and I am ranked number 1 in 2005, I stepped out a year ago and put my picture on the internet so that way everyone could know how glorious and exhaulted I am because the Universe decided to make me devine through poetry and self examination and my ego is rich with enlightened intentions, that is why I am a Master Poet. LOL.
When will some of you understand who you are talking to.
So you are bothered about me boasting about enlightenment and my rankings. When you become arrogant I need to do so to remind you who you are talking with.If you told me you were enlightened and ranked at 1 I would be more humble towards you.
What is that no.1 ranking has to do in this forum? Well, I have nothing to worry. But, you can try to put on better points other than simply boasting of your rankings here
The no 1 means I have credentials you do not.It means I have been acknowldged as a man of knowledge.
I know who I am talking to, Mohit the Poet, ranked number 1 in 2005. I could write a bio about you by now, but I don't think it would sell because there isn't much to know about you besides your increadable ability to keep replying when your the butt of all the jokes.
Oh happy days!

You are just jealous.I have been published on the site you have been and show off about.I never mention it as it is such a small achievement for me.I have felt the aliveness of the universe and talked to enlightened ones is not the same as being enlightened.Best Book Buys is huge and has won many awards and are considered as the next rising star in libraries.
Enlightenment broadly means wisdom or understanding enabling clarity of perception.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enlightenment_(concept)
enlightened
Adjective
1. rational and having beneficial effects: an enlightened approach to social welfare
2. (of a person) tolerant and unprejudiced
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/enlightened
Which of these definitions fit Mo? Enlightenment, from my knowledge, is mostly a pagan term. Jesus was not a pagan nor was He ever a pagan. Was Jesus enlightened?
He taught self denial while most beliefs teach self realization. Was He a liar? He would call Mo a false prophet. He would say that Mo's father is the devil. What do you think about that Mo?
Take it easy Sir Dent why go on my family? What harm have I done to you? have you read my book? Why cant you be polite to me?Also my fathers side are Misra or Bhramins -the Elightened Ones who settled o the river Ganges.Jesus loves me as he and all the Masters are inside me and also protecting me.
*ding, ding* weighing in on this corner, Sir Dent, the heavy weight chapion of the Christain faith vs. the Enlightened Mohit weighing in on the Universal scale at about 70 lbs.
No hits below the waist, keep it clean. Let the fight begin! *ding*
This is bound to be a close fight. Bets anyone?
come on, this would be a great match. I was just thinking I would put my money on you!
Why does your intuition tell you I will win? A spiritual debate is welcome .
because your path includes many, so you got more moves under your belt where as Sir Dent only knows one thing.
Try me out and do remember I am enlightened.
Do understand its not possible to defeat an enlightened one in a debate on spirituality. If you speak the truth he will simply agree on it.
It's hard to have a spiritual debate with someone whose only base of knowledge is a book of poetry, Sandra. Inevitably it devolves into "I'm better than you, you suck so you should shut up" especially with the third worst poet in the universe.
Poetry is considered the highest form of philosophy. Also been ranked overall in Top 10 books Body,Mind and Spirit--spiritualism,Top 10 books Philosophy-Religious books and was in top 100 recommended books a few days back on ebookmall.
Forgot to add overall in Top 10 books Poetry- Inspirational and Religious books,so that means I am the best writer if not one of the best writers alive concerning religions, philosophy, spirituality and God:)
I just wanna see a fight! Come on between Sir Dent and Mohit. LOL!
No fight to it.
Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Oh snap, looks like a an upper cut! I bet that hurt. I wonder what Mohit will do next. Looks like he down taking a breather.
I agree with you.May you have everlasting life, achieve immortality.
I too thought this would be a good match. A guy selling Christ vs. a guy selling a book. Dearth of a Salesman.
SirDent,
I don't think it is correct to characterise "enlightened" as a pagan term. Unless, of course, you define all non-Christians as pagans. It is certainly central to Buddhism, for example.
There are certainly Christians who have been enlightened - Mother Theresa springs to mind - and I am sure the word is used in ecclesiastic circles without carrying any taint of paganism.
You'd have to ask Jeromeo whether the JWs ever use it, because they are the most fanatical Christian sect about rooting out all lingering cultural practices that have any pagan element - like candles on birthday cakes, for example.
If there was a pagan taint to the word "enlightened", the JWs would be on to it.
Jenny
I am not sure that what you talk about with Jehovah is correct. I have been spending a lot of time talking to Jeromeo, and they are more grounded to reality than you would think. It is really rather funny because they seem more down to earth than any of the other christian sects, and because Jeromeo can and does accept people for what they are, it really says a lot about the belief.
Just my two cents. And I have definetly witnessed worse behavior, no offense, in the baptist sect. which really gets my nerves kicking. from what I have seen with my own eyes and heard with my own ears, baptist and many other sects. are backstabbing, slandering fools who wish to discredit everyone else, but this is not so with jehovah.
that is my opinion.
Sandra,
I am confused.
I didn't say anything criticising JWs - I just pointed SirDent at them for guidance as to what is tainted with pagan influence.
I know quite a bit about JWs, and have been to Kingdom Halls, because my daughter did JW scripture for a year, and I wanted to know exactly what they would be teaching her. I think they have probably the most accurate translation of the Bible, for example.
The JWs have the least pagan influence in their version of Christianity, because they are quite fanatical about eliminating it, to the extent of avoiding Christmas decorations and birthday candles because of their pagan origins.
They still do the days of the week though - Sun Day, Moon Day, Zeus' Day, Woden's Day, Thor's Day, Freya's Day and Saturn's Day - so they are not 100% fanatical about avoiding absolutely all pagan influence at all costs.
Jenny
Religion seem to be believed by Christians and non Christians as a form or way of Godliness and worship to God but I tell you, it's not! The play of religion by some religious folks is the major reason people walk by sight instead of faith in God. God is a Spirit and should be worshiped in Spirit and Truth not forms, doctrines, buildings, and manly ordiances. Religion should be the walk and act of faith beyond our sensory perceptions. Thank you!
