Is praying to God with fear of Damnation or hope for blessings Really Faith at all?
What Is Faith?
Sorry. I may not consider this kind of act as faith at all.
Real Faith is believing in His presence and experiencing His presence everywhere and enjoying His presence with true belief and admiration of His greatness. In such Faith, there should not be any fear of damnation or desire for rewards. Leave everything on Him, but say your problems to Him without concealing anything.
Faith is trust in yourself for that is where The Kingdom of God and Jesus and God is. If you have no faith that you can accomplish anything then you will not. It has nothing to do with what religions teaches. In fact religion does not teach what Jesus really taught us. Religion is not faith. When you pray you only ask once and then let it go. You do not do repetitive prayers and you do not plead nor can you really ask for something of someone else.
I think one can pray and repeat the same request every day. He does this with faith that God will one day hear and grant him his request. It is Faith. He is not asking for some one else's belongings. He asks normally for something which God can giv
You are not the Kingdom of God, sorry ...
And yes. It's faith in fear or in lack. Thus, fear and lack persist.
Faith is the perfection of confidence. It is not self-concerned, so has no limitations. Faith is also Truth which is Love. Faith is creation. And by resting on Faith, creation gains persistence.
Love really is the answer. Not physical love, but Altruistic Love which has no self-concern (Ego).
