Do you talk to yourself in the mirror?
Do you give yourself prep talks in the mirror? Is this how you motivate yourself? What else do you do?
Sometimes I do talk to myself in front or out of the mirror. I will give myself some telling off.
Years ago while working in sales I would stand in front of the mirror in the morning giving myself affirmations of being the best salesperson with charm and personality. Now that I'm retired I look in the mirror and comment about my gray hair or how things have shifted where they never were before. I now avoid full length mirrors.
Thanks for your answer! Did you find that by giving yourself affirmations in the mirror it made a difference in either your work performance or generally in your daily life?
Yes, it made a positive difference in all areas of my life.
never, i can't even look at myself at the mirror, I am not pretty and looks old, try to avoid the mirror.
I'm sorry you feel that way...but I'm sure you're prettier than you think, I truly believe that everyone is. Perhaps forcing yourself to look into the mirror and say out-loud that you are pretty, and find something that you like about yourself
don't avoid it ... embrace it... it is essential that you feel comfortable in your own skin. don't let the negative opinions get to your head; whether they come from people or yourself. Sure it may be hard to stop it sometimes but keep fighting it.
I never really have talked in the mirror before. occasionally, i make stupid faces when i look in the mirror, but that's just to humour myself.

I've had a fairly prolific start to my Hubpages writing career, publishing 13 hubs in my first 10 days (including a few over 2000 words) out of the excitement of starting something new. But as the 'newness' starts to wear off I can feel the momentum starting to slow already.I want to try to keep up...

Do you talk with yourself?I know it sounds weird but from my childhood I have a habit of talking to myself. I often explain things to myself and help myself in difficult situations. One of the things that I commonly say is that I am a good friend of myself so even if no one cares about me, there...
