Probably not what you're looking for but my answer is yes, hell exists. My reason is that I choose to believe it exists and the reason I made that choice was because one day I was looking out the window of my 12th floor apartment and listening to the news on the radio when they told of the arrest of a man who had killed a little girl by holding her head down in a mud puddle. As I listened to the news report I realized that no matter what horrible things happened nothing seemed to change. All the people out the window were still doing the same things they had been doing before I heard the report. That was when I realized I needed hell to exist. In order for me to live with a degree of peace of mind I had to believe that evil was punished and hell was the perfect place. Not very spiritual but that's it.

As a physical location, Hell and Heaven is non-existent - anything in metaphysical realms is not geographically provable, not yet anyway.

However, as a state of mind - absolutely yes.  Walking on the planet, living life as it is presented individually can create an attitude of being in either location.  We observe many horrific events globally and the term hell is very useful to describe the experiences of many.  Heaven is a name for a paradise and we have many of those on earth as well.  The term Hell and Heaven are man made descriptive terms.

I have a strong belief in the continuum of consciousness through lives, therefore the intermediary worlds between death and rebirth is determined by the state of the mind.  Of course this is my belief and non-provable in a physical sense, but is mentioned in esoteric texts.

Neither Heaven or Hell exist as an after life. No one has ever come back from the dead to tell of either existence.

A God that should have only created Good has been attributed to creating 100s of billions of lives that throughout history have never changed from basically being bad to down right evil.

The concept that Satan would punish people that follow him is absurd, and his goal is to beat God. Even the bible admits that Heaven wasn't for everyone. When a third of its inhabitants want to leave, how can you call it heaven. The flip side is Hell. In reality nothing more than a human designed Carrot and Stick.

The stick hasn't deterred people from being bad or evil. No one has to be taught how to be bad, but most everyone has to be taught how to be good.

Hell for eternity doesn't sound like a plan from a benevolent Creator. After a couple of decades, Hell will be boring for the creators of Hell.
The whole concept of Heaven and Hell smacks of human creation, just like Santa Claus and Scrooge.

      Mine was!
My daddy NEVER LIED to us!
He told us "I'm your Santa Claus" from youth as I tell mine!
U think I'm going to let them believe a stranger with a long beard is buying all that "stuff?"
      Nothing's free mindset!

Scenario #1: Hell does exist. If "justice" or "morality" is real, then "injustice" and "immorality" has consequences in this realm.

Scenario #2: Hell does not exist. Here, whatever a person does in life (whether "good" or "bad") has no real consequences. There is no eternal incentive to be good other than the benefits it may impart in the present. There is an incentive to do as much evil as possible other than the consequences a person faces in the present.

Reason for moral behavior, the golden rule & cooperation  is natural for would have ceased to exist prehistorical times. Darwin survival of the fittest was not a direct fight but a found niche in each environment. Misinterpretation led to WW1, 2

Darwinism is silent when it comes to ethics. It is a neutral biological theory concerned with survivability, not what is right or wrong. As Dawkins once wrote, when it comes to morality or justice, the universe doesn't give a toss.

I don't have to choose to believe, I know it exists in a real location: Texas. smile

Seriously, If you believe in The God Of Abraham, that Jews, Christians and Islamists all believe and who are responsible for the worst violence throughout history, then Hell is on Earth.

Don't see a bunch of Buddhists going to war, although Buddhists may be forced to go to war by others who do not respect the concept of the brotherhood of man. Buddhists do not believe in hell, or rulers of hell, Buddhists believe in Karma.

The Crusades was not confined to the Holy Land there was the Albigensian Crusades: Christians vs Christians. "The Cathars were a group of dualistic Christians who lived mostly in southern France and northern Italy. Instead of believing in a single divine power they believed in two – one a force for good and the other for evil. The good God was that of the New Testament, concerned with matters of the spirit. The evil god was that of the Old Testament, sometimes associated with Satan, a god concerned with the physical world." - https://www.warhistoryonline.com/mediev … sades.html

That's why the Da Vinci Code is so stupid. There was a belief that the soul is trapped by the body, and would have never hidden, Mary & Jesus love child.

If there is not a punishing afterlife for the immoral, we've just brought up a good reason for torture followed by immediate execution for the seriously evil people.
Or we've given a good reason why we need religion to say why one should live based on a religious moral code enforced in an afterlife, because if there are no moral absolutes enforced by the divine in this life and the next, we have everyone making up their own moral code based on feelings - and dens of thieves have a shared moral code, child molesters feel like they are acting how the enticing girls say, and sometimes he needed killing feels like a valid moral defense.

Well, here goes what no one wants to hear but it's TRUTH!

Hebrews 13:8 says "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever!"  In John 8:58 Jesus said, "Before Abraham was, I AM!"  In Revelation 1:8 Jesus said "I am Alpha & Omega, the beginning and the end..."  Therefore, JESUS is GOD!  Now that we've established (w/WORD), JESUS is GOD, and Hebrews says HE ("Jesus Christ") is the same yesterday, today & forever," we should consider HIS Mode of Operation "yesterday" (Old Covenant) vs "today" (New Covenant)!

After GOD brought the "rebellious" Children of Israel out of Egypt , HE reminded them of how much HE had done for them and asked them to "Choose this day whom they would serve" (Joshua 24:15)! After being reminded, they anxiously said they would "serve the LORD" (Joshua 24:21)!

Joshua told them "they couldn't do it" (Joshua 24:19-20) but they were persistent in that they could!  Joshua told them OK, "You are witnesses against yourselves in that you have chose to serve the LORD" (Joshua 24:19-22) but "...he is an holy GOD; he is a jealous GOD; he will not forgive your transgressions and sins.  If you forsake the LORD, and serve strange gods, then HE WILL TURN AND DO YOU HURT, AND "CONSUME YOU," AFTER HE HATH DONE YOU GOOD!"  HIS MOD is the SAME today!

The Children of Israel were GOD'S "chosen" people, but when they disobeyed, they suffered "consequences" (Usually for 40 years)!  However, those that were NOT "chosen" of HIM (As today, NOT "IN CHRIST!"), were "killed;" as we will be in the "Lake of Fire;" when AGAINST the WORD of GOD or NOT "IN CHRIST" or (As then) AGAINST HIS "chosen" people (The Israelites)!

You see, GOD "IS" the same yesterday, today and forever!  If HIS MOD was to kill those AGAINST the Children of ISRAEL back then ("Chosen" people or those "IN CHRIST"), it is the SAME today!

For HE (GOD aka JESUS CHRIST) does NOT change (Hebrews 13:8)!

Sure, under the New Covenant HE "will remember our sins no more," so it would behoove ALL to READ ("STUDY") to find out what "sins" are!  Let me give you "ONE:"  Galatians 1:6-9 "ACCURSED!"

Where does what HIS WORD SAYS leave u?
U should be "providing that book?"
