On this weekend i would go out for a family party, so yesterday i try to find a more proper handbag for the party. But when i clear out my cabinet, i find there are more than 30 handbags inside it. Many were bought years ago and many are not used at all once i bought them. Some of them were bought in a high price.

So im wondering how many handbags a woman should have? Do you have some certain brands when buying handbags?

I think it depends. If you have a handbag which is suitable for both formal and informal events, then one would be enough.

But if you use a larger one for work, and prefer a smaller one when going out, then 2.

and so on...so it depends on a person's preference.

It depends on how rich the woman is. If a woman is wealthy, my advice for to have as many hand bags as possible. I appreciate it when a lady carries hands that are to match.

Being a fashion addict myself, 30 sounds like a very modest number. I wouldnt be alarmed at all. If you took a good look in my closet, well, lets just say you wouldn't be feeling guilty right now smile

I'm a woman and I own 29 handbags. They just build up. You buy it, use it until you find a cuter one, put it away, find it again a few months or years later, use it again. You keep buying handbags and putting them through this process. I think it's a natural thing and it allows you to have some variety in your life so no worries.

A woman should own as many handbags as she wants!  I can only cope with two or three, or I end up losing stuff!

I'm happy with one purse for everyday and one evening bag. I have a Louis Vuitton (old, old one) and I remember a friend telling me, "The only purse you need is a Louis Vuitton because they don't go with anything!"  smile

I could not help but mention this hub which was a University Essay Question
    http://hubpages.com/hub/-Is-it-immoral- … 00-handbag

On the general question as a man I would really dislike having to carry a handbag around - take away for a minute the cultural significance- but rather the practical fact I would end up losing them.  Like I do with sunglasses etc which I become absent minded with & leave behind in coffee shops & public transport...
