I hope all of you enjoyed a fantastic start of the year.  As for me, I am still full up with all the delicious dishes eaten over the holidays, so I am starting a new regime for 2010 and as I don't like dieting I am going to start exercising more often and hopefully more efficiently.  This is why I think that it would be a good topic to start the year writing about fitness and exercising as a way to achieve a healthier life.

The topic is open to an amazing number of subtopics.  Some ideas for a HubMob hub on fitness are:

    Benefits of exercise
    Choosing a workout
Specialized fitness: fitness for women, for the elderly, for pregnant women, for men, for children, for the disabled.
Workouts: aerobics, yoga, pilates, weight training, tai chi.
Different types of exercises: cycling, swimming, running, and walking
Gyms, Health Clubs, & Personal Trainers

To join this week's HubMob please follow the steps below:

    1. YOU MUST START YOUR HUB CLICKING THIS LINK.  Choose the Answer the Request green button.  Choose the MAKE A HUB ABOUT IT option.

    2. Choose a relevant title for your Hub to get a good ranking in the search engines, AVOID starting your title with "Weekly HubMob"

    3. Include the HubMob RSS Feed in your hub.  To do so click on this link http://hubpages.com/question/33464/hubm … ew&rss and copy the URL at the top of the page in an RSS feed capsule in your hub.

    4. Add the HubMob graphic to your hub so that everyone who reads it will know that it is part of the official HubMob topic of the week.
    http://i43.tinypic.com/rup3mg.jpg

    5. After you publish your HubMob Hub, come back to the forum and post a link to your hub with a brief description of what you wrote about and why.

    Have fun!!!

      Welcome to the HubMob hypnodude!

It looks like you have everything in your hub: You started your hub answering the request, you added the graphic, good content and the RSS feed.
      Great work smile

Only one thing, maybe you want to change the order in your capsules and put the RSS feed further down instead of at the top.  That way, your readers will see YOUR work first.  It is only a suggestion based on a personal preference.

Thank you very much for the hint. I've been lucky though that in another life I was a body building instructor. If the hubmob was about hairstyle I would have had some problems. smile

Please share strategies of how individuals can keep their fitness resolutions throughout the year. Last New Year in January the gyms were very pack. Before the end of Q1, they were back to normal in terms of traffic.

Yesterday it was really cold in Dallas but when I arrived to the gym, it was jammed pack... Hopefully, it will stay that way throughout the year since fitness is extremely important.

If your gym offers free group classes (such as strength and cardio training), I recommend those. A majority of the participants are women and they come all the time.

Likewise, I thought these classes will be easy, but the women outshine all of the men who attend. The men including myself struggle to keep up.

Also there is a social aspect to group classes. You can meet new people and if you are a single bachelor like me, you can mingle with the friendly women who are in great shape.

I've never done or joined a Hobmob, but I love this topic.  I'm in for this one.  Very excited to read everyone's input.  I'm also hoping to find a hub to help me understand exactly what a 'hubmob' is, and what the rules are.  I'm guessing it's a topic that our 'mob' all writes hubs on.  Oh, and by saying, 'this weeks ....' I'm thinking that we must all have our hubs in by a certain date.  I'll look around for rules.

Thanks for putting this great topic out there for all of us!!!

I was having some real difficulty with the rss feed. It kept saying it is not a valid feed. I had to use the non rss feed url and add this to the end to get it working, ?rss

I was getting annoyed so figured I would post as there might be others who get frustrated when it says the feed is not valid.

When you click on the link Princesa mentions you'll see the code in the bottom bar. I can't see it in the top. But when you let go of it, it disappears from the bottom bar so I've had to copy it out by hand ( yes, pencil and paper) and then type it into the rss capsule. It works that way for me.
