First of all, I have officially made it to the Las Vegas airport to head back to good ol' HubPages HQ after a crazy week in Las Vegas. I haven't really gotten any sleep today, so I apologize for any bad grammar, misspellings and what not. That's my disclaimer for the day.
So, after last week's overly amazing HubMob that we had , I wanted to keep the Mob'n up and running with some fun stuff that many of us Hubbers would really enjoy writing and reading about. We had almost 50 Hubs entered into last week's HubMobbing madness, which is sooooo awesome. Thanks to everyone who joined in on the fun! Below is proof of the awesoeness that is the HubMob!
This week's topic is going to be a little different and a is a pretty wide open topic that everyone should be able to figure out something to write about and contribute to.
This week's HubMob Topic is simply: Do it-yourselfers, How-Toers and Step-by-Steppers: Teach us something, Hubbers!. I created this week's HubMob topic because pretty much everyone can do one or two things really well and I'm super curious to see the exactly what those couple of things are. Feel free write about anything that's related to this topic, such as awesome recipes, carving a pumpkin, how to create a blog or even how to make a perfect peanut butter and jelly sandwich.. As always, have a lot of fun with this and I'll see you soon!
To join this week's HubMob, please follow the steps below:
1. Come up with an amazing idea to write your Hub on that has something to do with the topic of creating an informative and interesting How-To, Step-By-Step or Do-It-Yourself that teaches the rest of us Hubbers and the rest of the world about something that you're a self-described expert on(or at least you think you are ). Make the topic your own and feel free to have fun with it, research it or wing it. It's up to you on how you write your HubMob Hub.
2. After you come up with your topic idea, click this link and answer the Request that I entered in for all of you HubMobsters. Feel free to use the tags that I suggested or add a few of your own.
3. Write a an awesomely comprehensive Hub that completely covers your topic idea. Be sure to add an RSS Capsule that includes the RSS feed to the rest of this week's HubMob entries (Link: http://hubpages.com/request/7213/best?rss) and also add one of the HubMob images below to your Hub so that everyone who reads it will know that it is part of the official HubMob topic of the week.
4. After you publish your HubMob Hub, reply in this Forum thread with a brief description of what topic idea you wrote about, why you chose it and a link to your newly published contribution to the HubMob. I mean, we all want to see, too!
5. Keep track of your Hub and keep us updated on any traffic that you're getting and post some screenshots if you end up HubMobbing a few search keyword over on Google.
Hi,
I just made a hub on how to do a yogic headstand. It's here:
http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Do-a-Hea … a-Way?done
I love doing headstands, and I think way too many people think of them as not really possible, when all it usually takes is a little perseverance.
Apparently I write on a lot of how-to topics. I just did another hub for this mob, about how to make cookies without a recipe:
http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Make-Coo … ecipe?done
Ryan, Your sleep deprivation has probably caused this-- You forgot to change the subject in the "steps" directions #1.
haha, yeah, I was nodding off mid-Forum post while sitting in the airport at 4:30am.
Not pretty...not pretty at all.
But, I slept an hour on the plane ride back and I'm feeling pretty good..for now.
This is an easy subject this week... way cool Ryan... regards Zsuzsy
I am for it this week, I didn't manage last week's hubmob, my little hooligan broke an arm.
Now I'll try to find something I'm good at to write my How to ...
Ummm...how about how to deal with your child's broken arm?
I am not very good at that one, so I chose this other one instead:
http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-striptease A housewife's guide.
What is the RSS feed?
Sorry, the effects from the all-nighter in Las Vegas has bigger implications than I first thought I guess...sorry about that. Here's the good RSS link:
http://hubpages.com/request/7213/best?rss
There are some great HubMobster Hubs already posted - keep 'em coming!
Ryan I love this new topic! How-to guides are one of my favorite things to write. Thank for creating this week's theme.
How to leaves everything so open. I like it. Ideas are brewing as we speak.
How about . . . How to Pick a Topic for Your Hub ?
Ryan I know I did two last week, is there any number that we can go with? I've got two ideas right now, and I'm bound to have a few more by the end of the work day...
(Yea, I'll admit, I'm a little bored.)
This is going to be fun. I love writing "How to" articles! Can't wait to read what everyone comes up with I'm with Whitney-can we do more than one??
Sure you can do more than one....the more the merrier!
Ryan said at the beginning of HubMob we can answer the request more than once. I made two hubs to answer last week's request, so I am sure it would be fine this week too, unless Ryan say differently .
You'll be glad to know that I actually got some sleep last night...aka I passed out on the couch as soon as I actually sat down at the end of the day.
Here's my first one: How to take apart and clean an xbox 360
http://hubpages.com/hub/Take-Apart-An-XBOX-360
I have another one that is near finished, but I need pictures. So, it may have to wait until I get home.
Great Hub on taking part the XBOX, although usually when I take something apart, I can never get it back together again.
I always seem to have a few 'extra parts' laying around as well...
My hubmobbing contribution:
Cool Ways To Heat Your House:
How To Save Money On Your Home Fuel Heating Costs
http://hubpages.com/hub/Cool-Ways-To-He … Costs?done
Great Hub, but luckily one that I don't need to pay much attention to now that I live out in California.
My second one: how to set up a crested gecko enclosure
http://hubpages.com/_reptiles/hub/crest … _enclosure
I've finished my hub. How to make the perfect martini
http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Make-the-Perfect-Martini
Whoa...this calls for a HubPages Happy hour!
I chose to write my Hubmob topic on How to interview for a Job. I picked this topic because I have written resumes for friends and during that time I learned a few things about interviews.
http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-intervie … -Get-Hired
Soooo...are you saying that I shouldn't wear my flip-flops?
How to freeze tomatoes straight out of the garden or produce section of your grocery store without processing them.
Step #1 > Obtain a tomato.
Step #2 > Rinse the tomato, clean off any debris or dust.
Step #3 > Cut out the navel (optional)
Step #4 > Place the tomato/es in a freezer safe storage bag.
Step #5 > Place the tomato/es in a freezer.
Step #6 > When you are ready to cook the tomato/es just simply let it thaw. The peeling will fall right off and there you go; it's ready to stew.
Hey secondsamuel,
How about you expand on this and add it to the HubMob?
Think u missed the point. What more is there to this one?
Mine's up!
http://hubpages.com/hub/Life-With-Kids- … -with-Kids
I wrote this one because all us parents can use tips and reminders to make mornings run more smoothly. And that coffee maker tip? Totally good idea for everybody!
Wwell my contribution is How to make a beef pie, The entire pie from the making of the filling, to making pastry and finally baking. I have even given serving suggestions.
Here's this week's first:
http://hubpages.com/hub/Grilling-How-To … nd-Burning
BUT Ryan the rss feed link is wrong in the instructions, can you edit the first post? It should be request 7213 not the one you quote. If people cut and paste without noticing (which I just did... then caught it)
Here's my contribution
http://hubpages.com/hub/Learn-How-to-Make
And another quickie I had in progress!

HubLove to all of you!
After being unpublished from some time, this hub is back!
Just wrote about a day in my life this week!
http://hubpages.com/hub/How-To-Be-A-Goo … itter?done
I am joining in this round. I have a little knowledge about how to do things around the house.
suhhhhhweet!
Who else is in? I'm still trying to decide what to write mine on this week...probably something nerdy and tech-related.
I've just posted this one:
http://hubpages.com/hub/An-easy-recipe- … -really-is
It does exactly as it says!
If SirDent is going to join in, then I am too. Here is just one of mine:
http://hubpages.com/hub/How-To-Paint-Ap … -the-Walls
How many can we have? I also have my sewing hubs.
The point of the HubMob is to write new hubs on the subject, responding to Ryan's weekly request.
Ok, then the apartment one was published after this went up.
Hey Lady Guinevere,
Be sure to answer this Request when joining the HubMob:
http://hubpages.com/request/7213/best
That way, we have all of the HubMobsters all on one place.
Here's one from me. Thanks!
http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Heal-a-Wound-with-Honey
Hey Patty,
I guess that it's true that I learn something new everyday...healing with honey, wow.
Also, remember to add one of the HubMob banners and the RSS Capsule of the other HubMob Hubs, too. That way each of the HubMobs reference each other.
Here is the RSS feed you need to use: http://hubpages.com/request/7213/best?rss
And here are the banners:
Thanks, Patty!
Ok, this is something everyone who eats meat needs to know how to do, they may never eat a fast food burger again.

Here's mine:
Human Tetris: How to Create a Winning Team
Going with humor this time, which is always tough. Let me know how I did.
Human Tetris is this hilariously funny game started in Japan. Many of you have probably seen the videos on YouTube, but if you haven't, definitely check it out in the hub. It was so funny when I first saw it that I laughed till I cried.
Here's mine with my usual acerbic and irreverent attitude. It's funny sometimes, but you'll learn more about the Classic Martini than you thought possible.
How To Make The Classic Martini Garnished With History, Legends, and Famous Quotes
http://hubpages.com/hub/How-To-Make-the … ous-Quotes
In keeping with the spirit of this week's hubpages, I figured I would contribute something I'm rather good at doing...
http://hubpages.com/hub/How-To-Call-In-Sick-To-Work
Should I turn on the news tomorrow morning and discover an outbreak of tummy aches and non-specific flu-like symptoms that prevent a record number of people from going to work...I'll be honored.
Enjoy!
Here is my article for this week's HubMob. I hope you enjoy it. If not then on you. I am only joking.
How to Hang Kitchen Cabinets
A fear this topic might be a little too niched, but having just returned from leading a trip from Cape Town to Victoria Falls, another addition to this week's HubMob . . .
How To Pack For A Safari In Africa
http://hubpages.com/hub/How-To-Pack-For … -In-Africa
No, it's not to narrow-- I will never go to Africa, but I would like to know how to pack anyway -- just in case.
Worked again! I've got the number one Google results for:
simplify mornings with kids
simpler morning with kids
Here's another one form me...
http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Remember … ress-Daily
There are LOTS of good Hubs on the topic this week from the Hub Mob!
Here is one from me http://hubpages.com/hub/Tips-For-How-To-Shorten-Jeans
Off to read some of this weeks hubmob hubs
Mine's up. It's about caring for pet praying mantises.
http://hubpages.com/hub/praying-mantis-care
Here's my contibution to the hubMob!
My finest hub until the moment, me thinks! ^_^
Learn how to impress girls in an original way. You'll find a bit of humor but also of sadness, learning something new in the end!
http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-impress- … ep-by-Step
HubHugs to all of you!
I have to pass on this one. Notonly are DIY and I a terrible combination, but I also simply lack the time.
How do you make the HubMob logo and links appear in your Hubmob answer hub?
Ok I've got the rss feed part But now I have other problem. I added http://hubpages.com/request/7213/best?rss just as you stated Ryan, and hubs do appear when I click on the "Preview Feed" button, but when I complete the editing it shows a message saying the feed is not valid.
Am I doing something wrong?
The only reason I can see why it isn't showing would be because you ticked the box that says, "DO NOT SHOW THIS CAPSULE." You also must save but I'm sure you know that already. If it is something else then I have no idea.
To use the logo, you must add a photo capsule to your hub. You get the link to the logo by right clicking on the logo then click properties. It will show you a link. You copy it then paste it into the photo capsule. Then you must click load photo. After that save and it will be there.
The link for ther one with the arms raised is http://hubpages.com/u/515149_f520.jpg
The link for the other is http://hubpages.com/u/513477_f520.jpg
I am using Internet Explorer and if I recall correctly with FireFox browser you can right click on the photo then cocpy link location. That will copy the url for the photo.
I did my hub on this weeks topic late last night and forgot to use the answer this request link. I have not publish the hub yet and was wondering how I can use the link now or if I can at all? Could someone please help me with this. Sorry, was tired when I done this.
Click answer this request and title it the same as the original but leave one extra space between two words of the title. Move your content from the original to the new hub and publish the new hub. After publishing the new hub, delete the original.
Great advice, SirDent....I couldn't have said it better myself. I appreciate you helping out!
I have had plenty of help with many different things here and I know I should do my best to help others when I can.
You are always very helpful sirdent. I am planning another how-to hub myself. I know mine are all crafty and girly, but I love writing on these topics . We need more crafty how-to's everyone, so I am encouraging all the Hubbers into crafting to get out there and write about arts and crafts
.
Heres mine, thanks to SirDent!
http://hubpages.com/hub/how--to-pick-a-wedgie
Oh my goodness...I think that I've created a monster.
Thanks Sir Dent.
I have saved and didn't touch the No display option...
It's really strange. As I said before when I do preview inside the capsule i see all ok, when i finish the edit my published page appears with the rss feed not valid line.
I've just put the photo, oh well
LOL... It's all ok now... i was copying the link with a blank space before the http...
no wonder it wouldn't work
i'm such a dumbass sometimes ^.^'
We have all ( maybe not "all') done some thing like this-- it's a learning experience. We are not likely to forget the things we learn from mistakes. But, as my Mom used to say, "Life is too short to learn EVERYTHING from mistakes. "
Some of us have learned by your experience. Thanks.
Hey profiler, Rochelle is right. I mean, one time I put my underwear on backwards and I didn't notice until lunch and at that point it was too late to do anything about it. I mean, backwards underwear - now who's the dumbass?
Live and learn....live and learn.

For this week's HubMob, I have decided to cover a topic that is truly close to many people's hearts - their pets.
