Thank you HubMobsters for taking part in last week's Having a bay HubMob We managed to publish a total of 90 hubs on the topic. And the star of the week for our baby hubmob is prettydarkhorse with an amazing 8 hubs on the topic. Don't forget to have a look at her hubs and leave her some feedback.
This week we are travelling to Canada to celebrate "Victoria Day and everything Canadian" . Some of you might be familiar with Victoria Day, a public holiday observed across Canada on May to celebrate Queen Victoria's birthday and to mark the start of the spring/summer travel. For all the rest of us, this will be the opportunity to learn about Canada, its geography, culture and everything Canadian.
This week, you can choose between our Official HubMob graphic or the Canada graphic created by our guest graphic designer Jen King who has created a personalized graphic for this week's HubMob. Let's welcome Jen and her graphic to this week's HubMob team.
Some ideas for a Canadian HubMob hub are:
Victoria Day Parades
Canada's history
Canadian Government
Canadian geography
Official languages in Canada
Canadian symbols
National Parks
Places to visit
Canadian cuisine
Education in Canada
Citizenship and immigration to Canada (visas, work permits)
The Canadian health system
Canadian actors, writers, singers, etc.
To join this week's HubMob please follow the steps below:
1. YOU MUST START YOUR HUB CLICKING THIS LINK. Choose the Answer the Request green button. Choose the MAKE A HUB ABOUT IT option.
2. Choose a relevant title for your Hub to get a good ranking in the search engines, AVOID starting your title with "Weekly HubMob"
3. Please If necessary change the category on your hub to best suit your topic
4. Include the HubMob RSS Feed in your hub: http://hubpages.com/question/48385/hubm … ew&rss For more information on how to add the RSS feed to your hub you can click here
5. Add the HubMob graphic below or Jen's graphic at the start of this thread to your hub so that everyone who reads it will know that it is part of the official HubMob topic of the week.
6. After you publish your HubMob Hub, come back to the forum and post a link to your hub with a brief description of what you wrote about and why. Take advantage of the free publicity!
If you are still not sure about what is a HubMob and the benefits of taking part in one I created this guide http://hubpages.com/hub/What-is-a-HubMo … o-join-one please feel free to come up with any questions if you have any doubts left.
Thank you Princessa and RM! I am holding the title of PREGNANCY LADY hehe,
and for Ms Jen, thats a nice logo, I will put both in my hubs this week! 2 logos!
Congratulations pretty for writing up so many hubs on having a baby. You are surely a "pregnancy lady". I only managed to write 4 hubs last week. I tried to write more but due to time constraints and my busy work schedule, I was unable to do that. Better luck next time.
thank you Soni, good luck to you! and take care
That's an excellent graphic and suits this hubmob very well. Thanks a lot Jen for starting this. This is something different.
I have nothing to add except I love Canada. Beautiful country!
I enjoy this topic! -
I Love Canada - True North and Free
.
I was there when I was three and caught a fish at a lake. I have a pic of myself standing on a dirt road holding a fish by the string...
maybe I'll try to find out what lake it was and see what I can come up with.
after watching the winter olympics, I would love to visit!
the graphic looks great!
I'm so glad you are liking the Victoria Day graphic. It put me right in the mood for summertime!
I hope it inspires lots of hubs...
Great work so far guys!
rm, thanks for the little nudge
Hooray for Canada Day!
Super image, Jen! Thanks!
Great topic, Princessa!

You've made me very happy Princessa!!! The graphic is awesome---I love it!!!
The first of my hubmob installment is, well, the title is self explanatory. Have fun reading this one!

Princess, Great topic. I learned so much about Canada when preparing my post it was very enjoyable.

I don't know if I have time for it this week. What is next week gonna be about?
Each week's topic is announced by Princessa on Monday in a thread in the Hubbers Hangout. Sorry, no sneak peaks.
Oh, so if i get on Monday then i am really not that late, right?
(did you get a chance yet to scan n email me that euphemisms hub?)
i lost my files!
Well, hello there, and yikes! I think about it often, but usually after my brother has gone to bed. I need him to scan it. Since we've been roommates, I have to admit I can't be bothered with that kind of task. Not to fear, I actually do[ know where my copy is. You need to ping me with another email though.
No problem!
Send it to willsayplenty@yahoo.com.
i think that will work!
I've not done a lot of hubmob hubs as you know so i could not recall specifics about when they announced topics.
i'll check it out monday
thanx again

Hi! I'm thinking of giving this a try. I don't have time to join in this week but I'll see what I can do next week if it's a topic I can write about. Do I have to sign up somewhere?
Nope, no place to sign up. Just start your hub from Princessa's link to "answer the question". Other instructions are in her initial post each week. She's also written 2 hubs on HubMob.
http://hubpages.com/hub/What-is-a-HubMo … o-join-one
http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Write-a-HubMob-Hub
kgnature, I hope you will join in. I wrote my first hub for a Hub Mob last week and really enjoyed getting in there with everyone as well as reading the others hubs. I'm now addicted with no cure in sight!
Glad you are enjoying this topic and that you like Jen's graphic
If you have any suggestions for future topics just drop me a line.
I'll have to write one on my home country
Where are you going to be Princessa?
Oh mmmmyyyyy, Rose Mary!! I don't know why the graphic isn't showing on my hub. I did try to upload it when I originally published the hub, but was having problems loading it. I tried several times for about 30 minutes and decided that I was late enough for work. ha ha ha I uploaded it again tonight. It shows when I look at it, but it's at the very, very bottom of the page below the comments. Perhaps I'll move it up.
Thank you and Princessa for all the wonderful and hard work you do for the HubMob every week. I can't imagine how much effort it takes, especially for the roundup. (Yeee-hawwww) sorry, couldn't resist that one! Hugs to you both!!!
Here's my second for the week - a collections hub
An Insider's Canada
http://hubpages.com/hub/Canada-Hubtrails
Hello to all!
So far I have enjoyed Pamela99, RedElf and barryrutherford's hubs. Nice jobs. I'll check the other ones soon.
Here's my small contribution, maybe I'll post one or two more about the subject, which I enjoyed a lot. Is about Canada's National Parks.
http://hubpages.com/hub/Canadas-National-Parks
BTW Princessa the RSS feed is not appearing on the published hub. I checked several times, on the edit window appears the list of related hubs, I save it, and then, on the published hub, nothing shows up but this message "This does not appear to be a valid RSS feed".
How can this be fixed?
Thanks, CaribeM
You need to select "copy link", "copy link location" or whatever your browser says, NOT merely highlight and copy. You can also click on the RSS link, then from the actual RSS, copy the URL. Here's more, in Princessa's hub, How to Write a HubMob Hub: Answering the request, adding the HubMob graphic and the RSS feed.

Hi Princessa,
This is my hub about Canadian pharmacies, it is more of a guide to obtain prescription drugs for a cheap price legally.

Hi. Here's my HubMob entry. Finally, got to finish another hub.
Canada and the Maple
http://hubpages.com/hub/Canada-and-Maple
so I guess you can't use an existing hub on Canada.. on which I have about 5
Sorry Greek, but no. If it’s not in the RSS feed, it’s not HubMob. This question comes up a lot. The answers are:
1) Delete the hubs and re-enter them, starting with the link answering Princessa’s question. OR
2) Do one or more additional Canada hubs, starting with the link. Then at least you can link to your non-HubMob Canada hubs.

I just finished my first ever HubMob. New to HubPages I feel like I'm not so much on a learning curve as a learning climb - from total ignorance to total knowledge - I'm still grovelling around the base of that mountain but I am having the time of my life. The support from others on HubPages and the sense of community lend themselves to making this a very enjoyable experience indeed.
It took me two days, my kitchen looks like bear cubs have been at it, my husband is starving and my dogs would dearly like to go for a walk...me, I think I need a shower....but...Tah Dah...here it is

The HubMob roundup hub has been updated. There are 24 hubs in the RSS feed.
http://hubpages.com/hub/Canadian-Histor … an-Culture
I just updated my hub - I had so much fun doing this "project" and although I have yet to read them all, I have thus far enjoyed many of the other "Canadian" hubs as well. I intend to read them all.
Not only was writing the hub and reading others hubs been a treat but being able to share my childhood memories with family and friends as well - that has been icing!
Here's mine, late again. At least I'm not *months* off, so it's not so bad. I'll be sure to catch the next one in time.

And Rose Mary, I'm having a terrible time trying to load the graphic at the end of the hub. I've been trying all night, without any success. Will be back to edit and reload the graphic. Maybe it'll work once our storm passes.
Have a great day y'all!
Hello, sorry for being so late this week.
I want to thank all the HubMobsters who took part in last week's hubmob, you did a great job. Also big thanks to rmcrayne for doing the HubMob roundup and to Jen for providing such a cute graphic.
Let's start a new week now, come and check this week's topic http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/42432
It took me three days to figure out how to add the rss feed. Lesson - read ALL of the instructions. Thanks so much to those of you who take people like me by the hand and lead them through the process. I'm looking forward to participating in more weekly topics and getting a firmer grasp on the art of being a hubber!

Hey there HubMobsters! Before I even get started on this post, I feel like I should let everyone who is reading this know exactly how awesome it was to see all of us Hubbers come together for last week's HubMob, which was the first one that we have ever had here on HubPages. We had 30+ Hubbers...

First of all, I have officially made it to the Las Vegas airport to head back to good ol' HubPages HQ after a crazy week in Las Vegas. I haven't really gotten any sleep today, so I apologize for any bad grammar, misspellings and what not. That's my disclaimer for the day. So, after last week's...
