Hello. If you are a writer you are welcome here. It's a weird compulsion we share. In my life nothing was ever quite real until it was written down, or communicated in words of some kind. You could almost describe it as a disability, the chronic compulsion to put words to things. Compulsive affective writing disorder. They never found a cure for it. Meanwhile, here at HubPages, I've at least found some symptomatic relief for my itch, a new way of publishing and of being read. If you too have bouts of compulsive affective writing disorder, HubPages may be considered an asylum with group therapy on offer from a whole community of fellow sufferers.

You sound like the kind of person with whom I could sit and spend an evening talking. I also suffer with compulsive affective writing disorder or CAWD and I long for evening time when my babies are in bed so I can sit and write. I frequently work on several drafts going at one time and I am slow to post- partially due to insistent perfection in communication syndrome, otherwise known as IPCS, from which I also suffer.
