I am in an old territorial style stone house built in 1865 by William S. "Boss" Head, former senator of the state of Arizona. We've got pecan trees, a pomegranite tree, and french irises up the walk in the summer time--but the place also has the feeling of dishabille. Blue mountains surround this valley, which once was as green as its name, Verde Valley, and they now have a slight dusting of snow. Not far from here is an old Salt Mine, which, incidentally, the road has been named after....
And that may someday be the start of a novel...lol
