Everyone who has the right drive can make money on the internet if they desire to and are willing to work hard at it. There are many scams on the internet and the secret to success is to be able to distinguish the true opportunities from the scams. Sometimes this is hard to do and one may lose money before they realize it is a scam. We are here to find out what some of the true opportunities are and what scams to avoid.
Don't kid yourself....Even if you put in the work to make 10000 hubs which at 1 hit per hub would bring you about 30 dollars a day you still have to consider that the group hosting the hubs will be active in the morrow.
Do not kid yourself....nobody online cares about you.
I have found out that if one can find out what keywords internet users are hitting the most you have a nich. Study up on these keyword using the internet, library, etc., etc. Then create a web page or store on the internet and start selling, you will have to obtimize your site to get it to the top of the search engines. It will cost some money to get there but once you are there, over timeyou can get it all back and then some.
Do some Googling! The concept of finding high-value, low-competition keywords and creating a site around them is the fundamental basis of all internet marketing.

Yes but no. There is no short cuts.
One has to work hard for even a few dollars. Many old hubbers are here, waiting for their first cheque from google.
jyoti
Jyoti, there are also many older Hubbers who are cashing out every month. If you're not getting a cheque every month or so by the time you've been here a couple of years, then I'd say you're missing something. Often it's the topics - Jimmy the Jock, for instance, is a great Hubber but he doesn't make a lot of money because his Hubs aren't commercially oriented enough.
The biggest myth on the internet is that you can write about anything you like, and make money. I do write about subjects I like, and I do make money, but not as much as I'd make if I chose more commercial topics.
Crap...do not kid yourself...a job at mc D pays more over 20 years....the host may just die tomorrow.
What's crap? Jyoti said "one has to work hard here to make even a few dollars". I'm not saying you can make your fortune on HubPages, but you can make more than "a few dollars" with reasonable effort.
Personally I think I'm earning a fair return for having written about one article a month over the last two years. If HubPages "host" did die tomorrow, I'd feel I'd been paid a reasonable amount for my articles - and I'd be able to take them elsewhere to continue earning. Not to mention the lessons I've learned here, which have enabled me to develop other online income streams.
I mentioned that it takes a lot of hard work but there are some who are making a living on the internet and writing articles for websites is just one of the many opportunities. I am not sure what the problem is that you aren't getting paid from Google but I hope you get it cleared up soon so you can get what you deserve.
You are also right about there being no shortcuts. It takes not only hard work but a lot of patience and persistence, and you have to drive yourself to keep going even when things do not go the way you had hoped.
Bj,
I certainly agree with you that there are many scams and it is very important to learn how to look for the right opportunity. I have some hubs that may be useful in your knowledge search. I won't spam this forum with my link but you can find the link to these hubs on my profile page. They can help you learn what to look for, what to avoid and some questions to ask in helping to determin if the opportunity is legitimate and if it is the right business for you. Hope you find these hubs useful to you!
Bonnie
Hi,
Yes. As has been rightly said, there are many scams going around on the internet and almost all of us have been victimized by them at some point in time. The secret to making money online then is in not crying over spilt milk, but getting on with it, and giving the next opportunity our best shot. The secret to success here, as in every other field, doesn't lie in not falling, but rather lies in getting up quickly after you have fallen.
I agree with you both entirely. We can not let the scams scare us away because there are many legitimate opportunities out there too and there is enough variety that there is something to interest everyone who wants to earn online. Thank you for your comments.
Bonnie, I will check into your profile to see what your link has to offer.
Thank you again. Hope everyone has a nice day.
bjjp,
1. I have not at all mentioned that we r not getting a pay check but I reminded that many are waiting for. It is difficult to earn in google adsense. There are many other places where one can earn better.
Still I have an opinion it is better to concentrate on real life business.
2. Scammers are there everywhere in real life and online. It is more difficult to deal with them online than in real life.

I think that Ive probably being scammed about 6 times... so I've learn't to be more careful! When looking for an online business opportunity I highly recommend doing as much research about it and reading as many reviews as you can find.
Let me pose a make money online scenario to you.........
You hate your job, you work long hours and your partner complains you don't bring in enough money. You're desperate to make more money and give your family extra - as we all do. You turn to the Internet and start researching various ideas - most are losers but you persist and eventually you find a gold mine - some combination of techniques, products or promotional method that makes huge amounts of profit.
That's great - congratulations - believe me it is possible - I have discovered a few myself. Your first worry (or at least mine was) - hope this lasts and nobody else figures it out !! You expand your method, set up variations - extract as much money as possible. It's called finders advantage and is a common concept expounded in everything from economics to evolution in some form.
But.......let me ask you honestly at what point would you publish your findings on the Internet? When would you start selling it on the internet - and what price would you sell it at?
Hopefully you'll come to the same conclusion as I do - you wouldn't. The only point I would sell this information is in one of the following two scenarios,
1) It didn't work anymore for some reason.
2) The method was such common knowledge that it was all over the internet anyway.
This is the reality believe me - the internet just like any other market is governed by simple rules of economics and the marketplace. Innovation and first movers are rewarded but otherwise you have to face competition - then you have to be bigger, badder or more efficient that your competitors to make a profit in the worlds most competitive market the internet.
My message in case I didn't get it across - buying get rich quick schemes will only get one person rich and it certainly isn't the buyer. They'll try everything to sell you rubbish from reverse psychology to the blatant insults - it's all a marketing ploy and you are the victim not the beneficiary!
Look for these few words in anything advertising get rich schemes - usually in a testimonial - "I was skeptical at first" - a sure fire sign of a rip-off.
If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is. I think it takes a long time for people to make money off of Adsense. It is not that Google isn't paying deserving people, it is just that it takes a long time for clicks here and there to add up. If you're being told that you can "get rich quick," you are most likely about to lose big.
I wrote about some of the better information sources in the make money online niche here http://hubpages.com/hub/HubPages-Internet-Marketing oddly enough these people give their information away for free! I will pay for tools ie softwaer but not for someone elses get rich quick ebook- making money online is the same as setting up a business in the real world - though a lot cheaper on overheads!
dearadnann, why are you posting same post to multiple threads?
You can make money on the internet, but its not like everybody can do it. And also not all the jobs suit everybody. I was searching for online opportunity for 5 years. I never got scammed. Because I used to research a lot about it. Now I am earning money online and also work from home with my businesses.
What I will suggest for you is don't waste too much time after this if you have something else to do.
I'm in the middle of starting an at home business. I'm praying it works. We do have to be careful of scams though as well as people claiming some sites are scams because they thought it would get them rich quick. It takes work to make money.

Are blogs about making money online the only people that are making money online?I want to see some blogs about real everyday things that make some money. It can be through adsense, or selling products, or referring to amazon.... but it seems like the only blogs that are boasting profits are ones...
