Um so yeah got any ideas on why men are so weird sometimes?
I mean seriously some men really need to get a life. I went to the gas station this morning and a guys was starring at me in a rather odd matter (maybe provocatively?) Well lets just say at my "chest" I looked up from the pump and said good morning he realized that I looked up and his face turned beat red!
I wasnt wearing a shirt that was showing any cleavage or anything. Sometimes I really wonder what runs through a guys mind.
Actually I think I rather not know what is running through their minds. lol! That might scare me even more than I am currently. But it would be nice to see a movie reversal of What Women Want!! Not sure who should play the main characters though, having a woman being able to hear everything that a man was thinking might make her go crazy!!
The average guy thinks about sex every 20 seconds! You can bet at some point that's what he was thinking about with you. Understand that men's brains and they way they express their feelings is totally different than a woman. Woman express feelings on a more emotional level, and men on a more physical. So if he was looking at your breasts, he was probably imagining you naked (this is a compliment, in other words he finds you attractive and physically desirable). He probably imagined what it would be like to be able to express his attraction in a touch, caress or kiss, (it's a mans way of saying I love you). Now you might think this weird, but it's not as far as men are concerned!
I don't think we are weird maybe just misunderstood. Have you ever been out on a walk and come across a beautiful flower with its radiant colors gleaming in the sun? You stop to look at the flower and next thing you know its beauty has you in a trance. Your just standing there staring. Your not even thinking all your doing is gazing at the beauty of the flower. Men a lot of times wont fall into a beauty trance over a flower but give us a woman, sports car or even a big plasma screen HDTV to gaze upon and odds are we will just stand there in a speechless stare.
I am tall and handsome. I have observed girls starring at my bottom. What do they have in their minds ?
Maybe guys just like looking at boobs...? His mistake was being embarassed about it.
I'm an 'older' woman and most of us know what goes through a guy's mind.
I used to be fairly cute, but never had your specific problem as my atributes were not too obvious. I do remember once when I was sitting on a bus stop, that a guy stopped to offer me a ride.
I stood up to reveal my full figure (8 1/2 month pregnant) and he suddenly and unexplainably pulled away...
I'd say if you don't want them to stare, wear a belly-pack,. Othrewise, find another way to brush them off. Be picky.
Toes! Naked beautiful toes. Gorgeous toes
Eat the toes. Lick the toes. Yum the toes.
Where go the toes
I goes.
Answer yer question ;-) toes
Pappa Blues is right, but I think they think about sex every 7 seconds. Think of it as a compliment and just because you weren't showing cleavege doesn't mean a man is not going to imagine what's under your shirt.
Well I'm a little older and a little slower, but back in my younger days sex was a constant on my brain! LOL!
One other thing, if you are uncomfortable by the looks, then be honest and say something! That will disarm the situation most of the time.
If he turned beat red it was because he didn't want you to see where he was looking (which, playing the odds game here) was probably your chest.
I gotta tell ya though, some guys don't have the guts to approach a woman they find attractive in that situation and say "yeah, you caught me - my name is Nate. It was a pleasure to meet your breasts."
Well, not in those exact words, but I think coming up with something witty to cut the awkwardness and share a laugh usually scores big points with the ladies. I think some ladies like it too if you are bold enough to "go there" without sounding perverted or creepy.
Not trying to rain on the parade, but sassychic might be a guy .
LOL
BTW Poppa Blues it is not just men... it happens to women too (most of them are just too embarrased to admit it)
SweetyPie, For the Record Im not a guy, I know that more and more these days people's sexuality is questioned but Im a girl and yeah im not gay or anything.
I was just joking about that really . It is just your picture looks like a celebrity, so I was not sure if maybe you were a man. Several male Indian hubbers have female celebrity avatars
. Sorry to have upset you.
No its cool dont worry about it. I just thought it was obvious, but I guess its my minor mistake Im not sweaten anything, no wrinkles. jk.
Man my boyfriend is a heartbreaker, (he lives 4 hours south, and the heart breaker comes from that!)
SweetiePie, I'd actually say the same thing. I think you can acquire a sense for this verbally when you are very word oriented--and I think you are... There are people writing under kinda 'troll' accounts and comments from the outside. To me, that reads like a man's conception of a female voice and what the whole thing would be like.
Sex is frickin' normal. When I was really young, guys staring at your boobs and stuff like that used to bother me. Now I just handle it mentally and socially....
What makes me freaked is older ladies, and stuffy types staring at your cleavage or what you look like in pants and making you feel like you're a slut or 'improper' just because you aren't wearing a burka or an ugly hide-everything sweater like some of them are want to wear. The guilt trip just ain't necessary.
I very much agree about the stuffy older ladies making one feel uncomfortable. Back in the eighties when I was in second grade I had a teacher scold me for wearing jewelry and bangles. She insisted I was trying to flirt with boys by doing that, but I was just a second grader!
I was dragged off to a bar with 2 other women. I wasn't even dressed for going out. I was wearing tattery baggy jeans, big clumpy boots (winter) and baggy sweatshirt, no makeup. The other 2 women were dressed to the nines..just off work (office jobs) yet...I was the one who had drinks bought for me and smiles from the guys. The other 2 women weren't ugly. I don't know what happened but maybe because I was the shy quiet one of the bunch trying hard not to be noticed, lol. I have no idea what the difference was but it can be flattering.
I think many men actually prefer women without makeup on. One guy I dated has always told me to this day he finds me very attractive because I do not pile on the makeup like his ex. Also, I think men appreciate a woman who is natural and herself.
That's the aroma of "I don't want you." Guys love that. Trying too hard is a real guy repellent. That's why women never meet men when they want to, only when they don't.
There is truth to what you say, Pam. Also, it probably gives off an aura of self-confidence: You didn't have to doll yourself up, slather on the make-up, etc., to feel comfortable with yourself. I'm not knocking make-up either, but too much is kind of scary. But some women look lots better with some, and for some women it seems extraneous. As Hamlet said to Ophelia, "God hath given you one face and you paint yourselves to make yourself a new one," or something like that.
The guys who are really good know how to use a newspaper or magazine to hide themselves when staring. Of course, I have never done it myself.
A man's eyes will usually go to the most prominent feature on a woman. Whatever sticks out the most, is where the eyes go. Be it breasts, a smile, eyes, hair, etc. . . It's just how it is.
Men who pose as women -- now THAT's weird:-)!!!
I think it's kinda cute that the guy blushed. Much better than being a total pig about it. But yeah, men will look even if you don't think you've done anything to draw attention to yourself. Consider the alternative: How would you feel if guys DIDN'T stare? Exactly. Enjoy it while you can! MM
SweetiePie, Lita -- this is an interesting "side topic." Women making other women/girls feel uncomfortable about their looks. Anyone care to write a hub about it???
I think this would make a very good hub request.
This topic is quite interesting and also hilarious, it is amazing that men choose to look at the breasts etc., however ladies we as well glance for a moment or two or three ourselves, simple human nature when we like something that we see , so it isn't always the men.
How many love a man's tush or his hard body? Raise your hands if you do.
Dont worry about it. I just thought she looked cool. I was slightly jealous about how she looked! JK! Anyway thanks for all of your guy's comments! Hey check out my hubs! please comment! Any comment is welcome!
I totally love this topic!!! I really want to go write something about it. Not sure what yet, but I will come up with something!!
As for guys, yeah, they are wierd, but not for staring at women. That's just human nature. Men (and women, too) seek out what they find desireable, and if they find it, why wouldn't they look? I admit, I have looked (and maybe even stared, discretely) at a guy I found particularly attractive. I won't deny it, and I am not ashamed.
Anna Marie Bowman! You bum looker! Good luck with your Jeopardy quiz tonight!
Thanks, Chris!! Good luck to you, too. I took it on Tuesday, and I guess you took it last night! It was a lot harder than I thought it would be!! OMG!!! I hate that they don't tell you how many you got right. And yes, I am a bum looker!
Thanks guys this is cracken me up! Truly funny! Anyway its entertaining as well.
Okay so new topic! I apparently have a secret admirer! So I came home from work and I found a vase of a dozen red roses already placed in it. I found a card on the counter that said "DINNER?" in fancy writing and Fudge. There was also a letter asking me to dinner and how the guy wanted me to respond ASAP. hmmmm. . . . . . .Im trying to think of who would do that, that knows me well enough or I know him, and he wants to take me out to dinner on Valentine's Day. hmmmmm. . . . .who could teh misterious dude be?.......
I dont know who it is. If it is someone I know then Im going to simply say Im sorry and either say I will go as friends or not go at all. I smell a fish. I am curious to know if it is actually my ex-boyfriend. He's been around more lately. Hopefully its not him. I would be really mad.
somebody put roses in your house?! while you were gone? .... ths jus creepy, lol
Ooopss! I ddint explain what happened very well. The flowers were brought to the door apparently by a delievery person. Not the guy. My mother brought them in and put them in a vace. My mother wasnt home when I came home from work. She left me a note explaining that they were delievered to our house.
Hey gamegirl and Dame Scribe I got an email from Luke (my long distance boyfriend) The roses and stuff were from him for valentine's day. His dad is coming up to visit friends and so Luke said that he was going to be around and thought that he would surprise me! So now I dont have to worry about some stupid ex boyfriend or weirdo sending me flowers and not being able to figure out who he is!
I sent my mother an email explaining about the flowers and such. Little did I know that it turns out that she knew all along about Luke coming up to MN and everything.

Not all men want the the plastic fake bodies or the one "dressed to the nines" in fact for me it brings to mine the rich snobby models stereo type. While it has been many a year since I ventured in to the Social scene I know I would rather talk to a real person then someone that is trying ti look like a pin up model. The very few of those type of girls I have met in my very limited experience where not what I was looking for in Friends or relationships. So if you are on the market next time you run into the one that seem to want to chat with you in your real life maybe you should consider it. The typical stereo type says that all men want girls that look like Paris Hilton, Jessica Simpson or Britney Spears for me personally I could care less about any one of these 3 people and would not even try to approach them given the chance unless maybe there where in dire danger or need help form a car wreck or something I would try to avoid them
okay. . . .Thats interesting thing to think about.
Luke left me a message! He said happy early Valentine's Day! I was so flattered that he took the time to call even if it was a message and talk to me! It felt really good inside!
Luke's a true sweetheart! I havent been able to talk to him for a while and emails have been about all or the occasional texts or mesages. We sometimes plan a few "webcam date" when it works out.

Ladies; Do you believe there are guys who are "too good looking" for you to date? If so, why?A recent hub was posted where the writer listed reasons why some of her past relationships had not worked out. Among the reasons she stated was "the guy was too good looking".Is there...

Why do men say they want confident women and then leave them for needy women? It's happened so many times I can't count: He leaves his brave and loving steady for a bipolar alcoholic, drug addict, emotionally weak or emotionally damaged woman. So why are women told that men think confidence is a...

Why on earth do you think 60 year old wrinkly fat bald men get 21 year old girls?Even if it were “natural,” there’s nothing innocent or harmless or healthy about older men pursuing ceaselessly younger women. The cost is high to everyone involved. While a few young women may be attracted to much...

The subject line just about says it. I've been at a bit of a loss lately. Some of the things I usually use, such as free/automatic writing are beginning to bore me. Any suggestions?
