Hopefully, this will be a fun thread.
I'm using mine to make a partial insurance premium payment.
I might have just enough for a loaf of bread.
I only could be day old Wonder Bread, not healthy bread. You?
Ha, ha, which one? I've never made a cent on Hubpages, never got my Adsense approved. Hubpages has made money on my posts though, with the adds and all! I finally got tired of providing my hard work for other people, sorry!
You've been here 19 months now. I'd take another shot at the AdSense thing.
I've been rejected four times by Adsense, the last was for not complying with TOS, whatever that means!
It means they think you broke one of their rules. What with there being a couple thousand of them, that is not hard to do. I hope you can figure out which one.
This reply is to joanveronica - you are an incredible writer! Just looked at some of your Hubs and very much wish I had time now to read more. I don't have that time right now - but will definitely return. Can't imagine what TOS you're not complying with - that's Google for you! - but you get my up vote every day of the week!
this account will be lucky to buy me a cup of coffee
my adsense is still pending! i will wait for 1 month more before reapplying again
It looks like I will get my first payout before the end of the year. I may use it to buy a small island in the Caribbean.
Wait another year or two-- you might be able to buy one with a palm tree,
Buy a tank of gas?
Use it to buy off the mafia leaders on my tail?
Savings/spending for Xmas. It's time to begin keeping an eye open for the grandkids.
That's easy, I get no payment this month so I won't spend it on anything.
Payment to enter a fantasy football league that I'm playing in.
Based on all the posts I'm seeing, the internet is indeed one tough town. For those who aren't already, make some bucks with Bubblews while they last... I think I've hit the magic $25, but I'm not sure since the site is down again. I know one thing for sure. I'm not going to hit that green button until the site is acting stable. Besides, maybe I'll just sit back and admire it for awhile.
As for HubPages. It does pay to nurture one's account. I've seen an increase in traffic since I threw out most of my divider bars. Could just be coincidence. Who the heck knows these days?
Hmm... I've been considering getting rid of my divider bars for a few weeks now, especially since staff discourages them. Might as well try. At this point anything might help my traffic.
I started with my zero-traffic hubs and worked my way up. Nothing to lose...
They do?? I thought they wanted them. I put a lot of time and energy into those things
I think I remember one of the staff members posting that if they changed the Hub format or something like that, the divider bars would pose a big problem and make the Hubs look less professional. Something similar. Personally, I really like using divider bars. They divide the text up evenly and make it look organized.
I might buy shares in Bubblews or spend part of it on a round the world cruise and the rest on the purchase of an apartment in New York. (To those who are stupid and would rip off my hubs, this is a joke!)
There's no individual hubs worth stealing any more. Stealing the entire site is now the new norm.
I don't know either, so I'll be waiting for the answer also.
Divider bars are thin to thick lines that divide certain parts of your hubs into sections. There are many types of divider bars, from coloured ones to ones with patterns etc. I don't use them that often, since the staff discourages them. I have used them on one of my hubs, perhaps the image below will explain them better. Try searching HubPages for hubs about line dividers, you can make your own too using the Snipping Tool if you have Windows. There are hubs that include line dividers made for you to copy and use in your hubs, always remember to add attribution. The line divider in the image below is used, with permission from Sharkye11, a Hubber here on HP.
The Style Tips is less than thrilled with these...
Think of all of the discarded divider bars that are now on the way to the landfill! What a shame. Someone should gather them all up and make them into homeless shelters or something.
How do you insert them anyway?? And why do hubbers use them in the first place?
You save them as images and insert them as such.
I use them because I feel like they divide up my text better so I don't have a big wall of text. I don't like using actual pictures to divide up my text because there isn't always something relevant I can use and I feel like they detract and divide too much.
HAH! No payment this month for me. I'm hoping for September.
My fifth month and I will probably make around $15 dollars. Although the last 3 days are stil pending payment so they appear as zero with an *. Last month was $11 dollars, so my earnings increase month after month, and I haven´t published nothing in more than 3 months! So I like Hubpages for this.
I think my first withdrawal will be next month if I make more than $15 dollars, and I will use the payment to decrease my credit card debt. And when that is done I´ll use to feed a savings account to purchase a car. Hopefully by that time I will be making hundreds of dollars becuase I´m getting the hang to SEO articles.
Same as I do every month - bills! This month it will be for the latest installment of my football (soccer) season ticket for Rangers at Ibrox Stadium in Glasgow. Thanks HP - you're paying for my ongoing attendance at my spiritual homeland...
Maybe a couple of penny candies? I've never had a payment from HubPages. Of course, I'm only in my 29th month, so I can't complain. My highest month (once) was a few cents over $5.00, but more often it's less than $1.00. So at my current rate, I'm looking forward to my first payment around, oh, maybe March 2014.
Well, that's OK, I still have 3 more to spend elsewhere!
No payment for me so soon. Just started with HubPages but very excited about the journey.
Would you believe that I use my online income to pay my student loan payments in full each month? It's true! Not a cent from my regular paycheck goes to my debt.
To buy me some more "time" everyday, seriously -_-
Wait,oh,well,out of stock...
While I don't specifically allot it for such, I suppose I could say that Hubpages pays for my internet/phone and electricity. Boring, but about right.
That's not bad-- many of us would like to be so bored.
I don't ever count on any money until it is in my bank account. If I spend it in my mind a head of time that is bad news for my pocket book. Just my way of working finances.

I am writing articles for this website since past 3 months. At present, I have 38 featured and published hubs. I have joined for Amazon and google Adsense program. Past two months I earned like very less amount, less than 1/2 dollar. If I continue writing and publishing at the rate of one article...

I am talking about best and worst scenarios. I have been through many posts on the forum and other places. From what I understand, you can hope to make (in the best case) about $1 per month per hub. So is that true for many of you? For instance, if I go berserk and post 1000 hubs (don't even ask me...
