Jeez, air conditioners on, but sweat is still trickling off me and it is so muggy.  Humidity is unbelievable!  Has anybody any ideas on how to cool down?

Good one Mark now that would work Cindy, make sure you take plenty of pictures and share them with us.

You could sit in a bath with ice-cubes perhaps, or buy one of those little hand electric fans and duct tape it to your head, honestly I have seen that somewhere,or you could watch a documentary on George Bush or something akin to that, that is certainly going to cool things down. I have the opposite problem I am brrrr cold. Maybe we could swap houses for a week like that tv show 'Swapping Houses'.

Maybe, but if you came here you'd want to shop at all the fake markets and don't want to tempt you like that.

I could pretend to be blind and just stumble in on them.

I our A/C is being fixed....and it's 105 degrees Fahrenheit in the middle of Texas.  Don't talk to me about hot.  We just went and bought a new water sprinkle, some misting fans and more ice.

I actually wrote a hub about how to beat the heat if any one is interested.  *wink*

Aw Ripple that looks wonderful!  9.18am and OMG even hotter than yesterday, am scared I'm going to get an electric shock touching the keyboard as the sweat is pouring.  I look like I'm enetering a wet t-shirt competition and it's all unintentional!  The people who bought my bed and couch just came to fetch it.  People who bought my table are on the way.  My house is emptying out.  Wednesday morning we leave for good.  Now in this opressing heat, I'm sorting through the last of the crap and chucking chucking chucking and melting while I do it.

Try isopropol (rubbing) alcohol on the skin.  It evaporates quickly (more quickly than water or sweat) and takes the heat with it.  May dry out your skin a little though.  And don't breathe too much of it.
