WRITING them in 30 days would be a silly rule - how do you define WRITING? Like we can't put finger to keyboard till somebody says "Go!"? So would it be ok research them before the start? Or list the ideas? Or would it be ok to scribble notes so long as it wasn't actually WRITING them?
Hell I write a lot of things in my head and then just type them out when I get round to it... (yes completely written in my head pretty much word for word)
The process of writing for many of us can start MONTHS before we actually sit here and tap anything out...
Don't worry, Julie-Ann isn't typical. Most hubbers don't have 200 hubs waiting to be published. Many of us just get up every day and write. I have a game plan for writing hubps for the next six months. But I doubt if I'll ever be more than a few days ahead if that. I'm just using this to help stay motivated. Although my sales details due that all my themselves.
Um, maybe I've got this all wrong, but isn't the whole point of the challenge to write thirty hubs 'within' thirty days? I guess there's no rules as such, but if you all intend to include a bunch of hubs that you've already finished before the challenge has even begun, then is there any point to it?
I have some ideas for the 30 hubs but I'm not even going to begin thinking about them until the challenge starts tomorrow and then I am hoping to do one hub per day. I did complete the 100 hubs in 30 days challenge so this one should be a little easier to do.
I don't have even one hub in unpublished state. So I would have to write from scratch. But I have made an excel sheet on what topics to write. Writing one hub daily for 30 days should not be a problem as i have already attempted and done 100 hubs in 30 days.
I would aim at writing 2 hubs a day and completing in 15 days instead of 30 as i would be gone for a holiday for 10 days mid August.
For me (in India) it is already Friday 24,2009. So i better get to work.
I know you don't add pictures and other fancy stuff but a lot of people (most?) do - what takes the time is:
getting them visually appealing, keywording for SEO optimising the adsense ads content optimising the adsense layout adding images that I'm happy with adding Amazon and ebay rss feeds videos where appropraite then tweaking the look and feel of the hub till I'm happy to hit publish
I have 11 hubs keyworded and have sketched. I'm about 1/2 way done with the first one I plan to publish tomorrow. If all goes well, I can publish two tomorrow. Hope eveyone is being productive... I even had dreams about it last night...
Wow! I thought 30 hubs in 30 days was a challenge. Only to hear that some of you wrote 100 hubs in 30 day's, thats amazing. I have been a hubber for 5 weeks and I only have 1 hub! How do you do it? I am tempted to give it a go but it sounds so scary!
Thanks Nellie, I might just have to do that! I am a bit of a flitterer and tend to juggle a lot of things rather then one thing exclusively, I think if I put my head down I could probably manage one a day. Starting tomorrow?
Phooey Irohner....(I've never used the word phooey online before....odd)....you're right on schedule. Don't worry about a thing! Brainstorm a few ideas...see what pops up. Start and write when you're ready!
Jane, you're doing fine! One thing I found in the last challenge is that once I was in the challenge mindset, I started seeing opportunities for topics popping up everywhere. One that I specifically remember was being on my lunch break from work and a local radio station plays old country music during the lunch hour. I heard an old song I hadn't heard in a long time and it inspired a hub. I came home and wrote that hub in about 30 minutes. Those are the most fun. So, as you begin to relax and have fun with this challenge, it'll become less of a challenge and more about "I wonder what kind of inspiration I'll get today?!" You begin to look forward to that...in fact, I get quite addicted to it.
Well, I started yesterday (Friday, 24th) but didn't get any published, although I did some researching and writing. Now I've published my first four hubs in the on-going challenge!<no links in this thread, please!>
I'm just coming back after a several year hiatus, and one of the most exciting things that started when I was here was the HubChallenge. Originally, it was 30 hubs in 30 days. Now I see it's changed to either updating your hubs or 30 hubs in 60 days. I tried the original once, and I failed...
I suppose with the latest Google Panda update and all the low traffic we've been getting, I guess it's time to start writing more hubs. While I wasn't affected too badly by the update, I still want to increase my traffic and hit payout next month or the month after. I want to hit 80 hubs by the end...
Yep, I'm going to be writing 100 Hubs in 30 days starting next Monday, May 11th. This might sound a little crazy (because it is), but I promise that I have a somewhat logical reason for doing it.So here's the story -- Yesterday I was surfing around the web, looking at some blogs that have been...
I haven't been actively writing on Hub Pages in a while and want to get back into this and this might get me motivated.I remember hearing about a 100 hub challenge some years ago and I know that I could not possibly write 100 hubs in a month. That is why I am attempting to do this in a...
