What an interesting post. Eventually I will get used to the internet age as I'm like the old farmer who didn't buy his first car until 1957 because he thought his horse was more reliable. But to address the prompt; today I'm flying from Jacksonville, Florida to my home town, Seattle, Wa. I want to see my parents. They are in their 80's and I don't know how many chance are left. So to hell with everything else. I'm off. Jacksonville, my business, my house and my mailbox will be just fine in my absence.
I declared the following: "Hear ye hear ye! This congress in now in session. Judge Marilyn presiding. All rise. All sit. All rise and sit. All do the dance of the 7 veils. All chug-a-lug. All run the gamut. Turn the other cheek. No the other cheek. Turn the corner at the stop light. Don't go to jail. Love one another."
Walked around all crunched over until my back stopped hurting because I was outside painting all day yesterday. When my back eased up, I went outside and sprayed some bleach to clean the decks off and we painted the steps today, then we ate dinner and it rained so we couldn't paint anymore. Then I did laundry and got on the internet.
It's Sunday night, almost Monday morning, and I've accomplished a lot, but the best: gone out walking in the thunder storm, went swimming and did a little hot tubbing...refreshed and ready for the new week.
On Saturday went to emergency room, busted my rib and cracked my tailbone, it was fun I was checking on my son Thursday night and slipped down the stairs (on vacation), then re-broke my rib on Saturday (by sneezing, I have a man sneeze) and now I am on the couch with killer meds and my computer...moving a little but staying still mostly...today is tuesday...all is better
Being Wednesday now, for another 3 minutes, spent the day with a close friend -- walked at the park, avoided the rain, went to Starbucks and sat in the rain as it poured down on us (literally, heaviest rainfall in the last 2 years!). Laughed like a kid and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. It was a great day!
Well isis was cutting a head of hair and as my scissors did their little round the ear manouvere the person jolted. Being the experienced stylist I am after cutting off one lobe in my early days, I held steadfast and did the 'quick reflex zone out' trick to save the day.
Took an easy day...had a run in the sun, had a nice lunch, did some writing, inspected a building and reviewed the National Fire Code, chatted with a friend, had ice cream...mmmmm Now, going to see if I can write another hub
today i have done a couple of posting in the forums and got two more hubs ready to publish here and later I will be going out for a while to go to a appointment and do some shopping and later on i will come back to hp and publish my new hubs
This morning I got up and published two hubs. Then I went to work. Work was basically uneventful except for when I was trying to do my work my supervisor kept calling me for the same thing three times which was really beginning to annoy me. I went into the office and I held captive for an hour and I wasn't able to eat lunch. Eventhogh I skipped lunch I still got off work late. When I got home I looked at my progress on hubpages. I haven't made any money yet but I'm being patient since writing is not my only form of income. After I get through with the hub pages I am going to do some beading.
they days go by so quickly. worked on and published a hub. walked the dogs. went to computer class. fixed lunch, updated my personal website. edited photos. researched for upcoming hubs. helped participate in the creation of my personal website blog. ate chocolate.
Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh (BP has passed out)
Today, I processed and shipped orders placed in our website; answered emails, cooked lunch, went to the park for our daily walk with my s/o, helped a friend, meditated, exercised, and now I am checking the forums in Hubpages before I go off to sleep.
Good morning wesleycox and Violet I've just come back from ciclying, it's a beautiful morning in here, I am off for some coffee while I read the new HubMob entries and then off I am to enjoy the rest of the day.
Went to work, came home, and as I was making dinner, my cat chased a bird into the house. A Budgie. Looks like someone's pet. He's not afraid of humans. Bit me twice while I was rescuing him. He's now sitting quietly up on top of the DVD rack. Not sure what to do with him, actually.
Just checked it on Alexa.com, and realized which (alleged) effect the Panda updates of Google has on traffic. Although I'm still happy with the traffic my Hubs have, are the foundations increasingly eroding. Are there any ideas to change this trend? http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/hubpages.com
I am surfing around internet from about two years. I saw many forums, communities and webinars over the WWW. Also i am finding new forums, webinars daily over the net and also participating in them. But in two years, i never met any website like hubpages.com which is...
HubPages is under attack. HubPages content did not get hit by a Google slap and views did not tank due to Google algorithm changes; it is the victim of negative SEO.To see the nature of the attack:*Go to a Google search engine on a computer with no cookies saved on it.*Enter a random username and...
There may already be a thread on this, but I can't find it. So the two reasons I can find for the Fred update (9th March) were backlinks from ureputable websites and for websites which had a lot of advertising Some sites have apparently dropped 90% in traffic.I truly doubt that HP is going around...
Do you write articles or posts for another website? Which ones? Could you tell me about it please? How do you get started on the sites? How much do they pay? Pros and cons? Is there some hubs that you know of that answers my question (that you would recommend)? I really appreciate your time. The...
