I want to try something, so hear me out. Post one thing that is on your life list (if you don't have one, start one today). This is a list of things you must do or see before you die. Skydive, climb Everest, throw a pitch at Yankee stadium ...whatever it is dreamers, dream it, and tell me one.
After a sufficient amount of replies, I would like to create a hub with all the responses as well as provide tips on how, if possible, to achieve each one. You will each be apart of the finished product, and I have a feeling it could be very cool. Thanks to everyone in advance for all your input.
Perform a song in front of a crowd of thousands \m/(*~*)\m/
Put up a Giant Bill-Board in the Middle of Downtown and let it read: "The following People can kiss my die-ing Fat-Red- Southern- A..
then list them all by name!
Jon
You guys haven't given me a whole lot...except for gender reassignment. That one's brilliant.
No you haven't received any real responses have you? OK - here's a real one for you. I would like to travel to every continent, and also start working on individual countries. I've got quite a few under my belt, but it's a big world out there and I want to see as much of it as I possibly can.
maybe a job where you have to travel to every continent?...two birds one stone. That's on my list as well.
Oh, God, just one?
Write several novels
publish books of poetry
travel, travel, travel
own a publishing house
own a gallery
sell my painting/photography
master at least 2 languages
own lots of real estate
master the art of investing
make a million dollars
get a Phd
set my guy up so he can design the house he wants
live by the ocean
live in Paris
live in Tuscany
run a marathon
live to be 100
always be passionate about life
Aim high,
I won't kick a bucket...it would bruise my toes....
But one thing I would love to do in the future is sell one of my photographs or paintings for a substantial amount of cash!
I made a mental list several years ago and have already done some of it. Things like:
learn to ride a motorbike, buy one, ride it (had a Diversion 600)
do a scuba dive
learn to ski
live in another country (there's nowhere like home though!!)
drive on the right hand side of the road
do my nursing degree
visit somewhere exotic, 5 star all inclusive (went to Jamaica 2001)
Now I am on to:
do a Masters degree
try to be a good role model at work
be kind to the environment
get fit/joined the gym (the body has changed shape...haha)
be an activist for health without chemicals
in the future it's about:
buy a motor home and travel round the world - well, we will start with Europe whilst we have the dogs, then who knows where we will go
grow my own veggies, in my own garden
I realise that my lists are nothing extravagant, but I am trying to keep it real and attainable.
Good luck with the hub.
So many:
Have a 30-door apartment
Set up my online business and my own webpage
Have my own house and lot
Make my accounting branch bigger and better
Set up call center and/or medical transcription business
Travel to other countries (wrote a hub about this already, plans
are there but still has to save the money)
Learn accounting software
Learn one foreign language and two local languages
Win the lottery!
Get accredited in CIMA or CFA
Have children, grandchildren and have enough to leave to them so that they'll have a comfortable life even after I hit the bucket.
The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time. I just want to be prepared, full.
to one day afford a motor home for me an my dog and travel all round the coasts of britain and the rest of eu, and help one person out where ever i go ,
skydive
scuba dive
bungee jump but would be to painful with osteo/arthritus
and then kick the bucket out in space amongst the stars looking down at earth .
i refuse to kick anything, not even when I'm too feeble to!!
There are so many things......here are a few, I hope there helpful.
Run the london marathon.
See all the wonders of the ancient word.
Write a number one best seller.
Own my own home.
Learn to drive.
These are all such awesome relplies. Giving me some ideas of my own...
To raise my children until they reach at least 3/4 of their full potential into adulthood. To leave an impact on this world that affects it positively (which I'm in the process of for many years). To be loved and liked by all and to love and like all. To be unconditionally happy.
Oh yes, to hit 100 on the hubber score and to actually make more than a few pennies off of adsense! lol
Would like to see the Blackfeet sun worship ceremony.
Visit Ireland and Scotland.
Publish a novel.
Cruise the Missippi in an authentic river boat.
It is a ceremony performed by Native Americans http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sun_Dance
-To be successfully self employed
-To create at least one documentary film about an unfamiliar, under-discussed subject
-To write and illustrate a graphic novel
-To write several books

-To enter a drug-induced spiritual journey with the guidance of a Shaman
-To create and star in a cult musical akin to The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Hedwig and the Angry inch
-To build and live in a TreeHouse (I'm talking a literal livable house in a tree, like what Link has in the Legend of Zelda series but much more elaborate and modern)
-To find out what creature it was that produced "The Bloop"
-To never stay in one place for longer than 3 years for the rest of my life
-To not die, but vanish mysteriously
man, i really like this list. especially the spiritual journey and life in a treehouse...good work.
I don't plan to kick the bucket, so I live my life that way. (I reserve the right to change my mind at some point in the future, of course. )
To live on my own small remote island with only my dogs, (all other pets too) books, music, and internet.
Naturally my kids and grandkids should live on the other side of the island too.
Save a life

Set a world record (Check!)
Swim with sharks?! That's really something. How was it? The only time I saw sharks was behind the big aquarium in the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
I've done it a few times. Not anything planned, just been diving and seen some sharks. I want to do a cage dive now
Wow! That's an exciting experience. Just wondering, did you write a hub about it? I was looking through them and did not find one.
No, I've never written a hub about diving before. Thanks for the idea though But like I said not anything planned or a big deal, just some reef sharks here and there.
I was a part of the biggest human awareness ribbon. But someone else beat our record Oh well, we had it for a second.
Help make world peace happen. Even just for one day. No wars, anywhere. Wouldn't that be great?
PS, Colebabie, what's a world awareness ribbon? I guess I should know but I don't.
It's a ribbon for a cause. We made a human one. We all wore the same color shirt and arranged ourselves into a ribbon.
I want to move across the street from a Country club and put up a sign that say's
"Happy Hog Farm 10,000 happy hogs coming soon!"
Wait I already did that.
