I really like hubpages very much. Its a great source of meeting new people, getting lot of information, sharing your knowledge and also earning money. I never liked any other website this much. How about you? Do you have any other favorites?

      ABSOLUTELY.
I tried Squidoo and did a few articles there, but i hate Squidoo absolutely. No friendly community exists there.
I know no other great place than HubPages. So, to me, HP rocks! smile

      lol

      Yea what he said.

Things is , I dont know when things changed for me ,maybe its an evolving thing , first few weeks creating a hub was a hit n miss affair( mostly miss) lol then like all good addictions I perservered because I really wanted to write. So my hubs have improved and Ive learned alot about advertising ,whoa!

Its probably more about selling words and advertising than what I thought writing was going to be about.

So evolve is what Im trying to do smile

The forums, are what they are, litttle bit of this, and a whole lotta that lol.

I haven't really made any money from HubPages, so as far as monetary gain other sites like Triond and Helium seem to suit me better. I guess I may not really be doing it right. I actually started browsing the forums just now to look for better ways to promote my hubs, but it looks like I got distracted.

Really?  There are more sites out there besides Hubpages? hmm Go figure lol

I'm with ralwus and HealthTip.  Other sights I've been on aren't nearly as warm and fuzzy.  I can get instant feedback just by simply going on the forums or check hubtivity to find hubbers who are currently active and reach out to them privately through e-mail.

I'm here a lot, by the way big_smile

Yes, I absolutely love HubPages because you can read other people's Hubs and learn a lot about different subjects such as Math, love, weather, news, etc.
Also I love Google Analytics, since I can see where my visitors are coming from.  In just two days of blogging, I have visitors from Utah, North Carolina, California, Israel, and the Philippines.
I expect to see more visitors in the future smile))

I also forgot to say I love hubpages more than the last writing site I was on because the members are from right across the globe. I find it great reading contrasting views from all different cultures. Plus there really is some great talent on here, besides the detailed hubs some of the Poetry on here is just amazing. Yeah, I am hooked !

Plus of course the Hubsteam do all the work for you in getting your hubs viewed and getting you a few dollars in your pocket, all in all the best site on the net.

8 days...I've gotten great comments, no money yet but hey, I've got other means thank God.

I absolutely enjoy writing in my spare time anyway, what better way than to do it with the added potential of earning money? I'm a consistent writer and will naturally try to write at least 4 columns per week, so in the long run this is fun.

It is what it is, and what it is to me is a weekly project for a talent of mine that I enjoy doing. Plus there's a category for anything you want to discuss in the forums.

    thanks.

It has its ups and downs.  I haven't made a cent here and am honestly look for other options and to find a niche.

For writing, it beats the other sites hands down, its easy to publish a hub and there are good writers on here who are generally helpful.

The forums are helpful if you know where to look smile

The community aspect is nice too, I've not made friends like others have here, but its nice to chit chat once in awhile.

          Paddy's  Fingers

Paddy was working at the fish plant in Cork when he  accidentally cut off all 10 of his fingers.

He went to the emergency room in Cork's hospital.

The doctor looked at Paddy and  said,   'Lets be avin' da fingers and oi'll  see what oi can do'.

Paddy  said,   'Oi haven't got da fingers.'

'Whadda ya  mean you haven't got da fingers?
             Lord Tunderin' Jesus, it's 2009!
We's  got microsurgery and all kinds of incredible  techniques.
I could  have put dem back on and made you like  new!
Why didn't ya bring da fingers?!?'

          And Paddy said,

"How da fock was I 'spose to pick dem op????"

I think that Hubpages is an excellent platform for money making and a great community, but I do have concerns about its future and wish that there was more communication by staff on the forums about future plans and their own concerns. Unfortunately these concerns of mine are often knocked down and labelled as negativity by a few hubbers. There is no better adsense sharing site though, it is the best at what it does, and independant blogging can become lonely.

I'm enjoying HP very much and am becoming rather addicted to it. I was a decent writer to start out with, but it's been a challenge for me in terms of learning how to write for online. I'm not making much money yet, but I'm getting some good feedback on my writing ... and I like having my work out there. When you write for magazines (as I've been doing for the past 15 years), your article comes out in one issue and then that's it, it's over, on to the next issue. I like that my HP hubs are just up there for anyone to see, any time.

I love hubpages because it is very similar to my wardrobe. 30% of it is rubbish and does not look good on me. 10% is very exspensive and top quality which I would never get rid of. 20% is day wear that is comfy and reliable. 10% is sentimental and hold memories of times gone by. 30% is pure fashion for today, but will be thrown out soon.
