My dad was born in San francisco ,but his mom was born in Ireland. And his dad was born in southern France. Mom was born in Norway her mom and dad born in Scotland. I was born in San Francisco. Yet, all my bros. + sisters were all born in Norway. wow!
I was born in Oakland, California and raised for the most part in Berkeley, with a year in Lexington, Massachusetts, and a year in Oxford, England. I lived in Arizona briefly as a teen, and more recently in the Dallas area of Texas. Now I'm back in the Bay Area, and don't plan on leaving. We're spoiled out here!!!
lol, wow, that's nice. have you ever been to San Francisco? or Norway, Wales?
Of course I've been to SF! I'm there regularly. It's only a few minutes by subway.
I was born in Berkeley (at the Kaiser Permanente there) and lived in Alameda for a short while.
More specifically, I'm from my mom.
I lived in Alameda for a good 6 months last year... Just a few blocks from the Tiki Lounge, formerly Lincoln's Address, if you know where that is.
The international members (and some from the Deep South, which apparently counts as a foreign place!) have just posted their locations in the "Where in the world ..." thread, so they are unlikely to pop up again on this one. You might like to go look them up over there.

I'm pretty much a lifelong Washington state resident, mostly near Seattle. I also spent a little over a year in Wisconsin, but I was an infant at the time. And, no, it doesn't rain up here as much as most people think. It's just gray a lot, especially this time of year.
London
When i say im from London, people normally say "wow" or "cool" which it can be on one hand and not so cool on the other!!
I am originally from NY - the suburbs of NYC. I married a city boy and we made a big move. All the way to Connecticut We would like to move somewhere warmer, but all of our family is here, so we will stay. For now.
Im from California (bay area), im new here, and CRAZY addicted to hubbing. :-)
I am from the state of New Hampshire but was born in Brockton Massachusetts.
I'm from South-West Scotland but currently living in the Middle East (where the weather's better, but that's not the reason!)
I am originally from South America, but lived in NY for most of my life. Now I live in a rural town in Oregon with my nature loving soulmate; its quite a change from the fast pace of the big city!
My wife is from Manitou Springs - up the hill.
Manitou's pretty -- I like it, especially during the holidays. I'm impressed that you were able to charm her away.
I live in Sydney, Australia. Originally I hail from the Hunter Valley, and lived about 15 minutes away from the vineyards.
I'm from the South West of the UK, a county called Devon. Devon is considered to be a holiday destination and is mostly agricultural.
Spent my first 50+ years in Nebraska so I guess that's where I am "from", Go Huskers! Learned to hate cold weather so now I live in SoCal, North County San Diego.
I am from Peru, but I have lived in Scotland, New York, England, Spain, and now France.
From London, Ontario, Canada....Just moved to Hamilton, Ontario 3 weeks ago.
Yes, it can be cold here....and hot.
Born in Pheonix, grew up in upstate New York, and Pennsylvania, and live all over the place. Now residing in Southweatern Minnesota.
Detroit area. Before that Boston, Ithaca, Bogota, Baton Rouge, Lincoln, Nebraska, and Aruba where I was born.
I grew up in Bangkok, Thailand and have lived in Sacramento, California, for five years. Hopefully, one day I'll move to San Francisco; it's my favorite city in the entire world!
I'm from the Philippines but network is Idaho and US - because we protect American consumers. Nice to meet you all!
I don't know how in the world to answer this question, really. Do you mean this year, last year, or tomorrow? And yet, I still couldn't give a good answer. BUT I did grow up in Ohio and all of my family roots go WAY back in Kentucky. So I guess that's how I 'll answer.
I'm a couple 100 miles from stormyweather - Portsmouth In Hampshire UK. Roughly the middle of the south coast of the UK - the warmest bit of the UK (which doesn't say much!)
I am originally from a small town in southeast Kansas, good 'ole USA
Nice to see a few fellow Aussies here.
I, myself am from Melbourne, Australia.
I'm from Kitchener, Ontario. I am sick of winter and I'm longing for the summer days.
Ok, I'm an oddball. I was born and raised in central Mississippi. I recently moved to north Mississippi and we just moved into our new home this week in New Albany, MS. Woooohooooo! It is in the country yet only 5 miles from town and hubby's work so it's perfect!
Is there anyone else on HP that's from the south? Geez! I feel like the lone ranger here! lol
Bonnie Ramsey
I'm from the D.C. Metro area. Pretty close to Misha, so I guess that makes me part celebrity just by association!
Bonnie, I already posted but my entire family is from Kentucky. I am currently in Georgia and will probably be in Texas soon. Does that count?
Texas ALWAYS counts!!! I am Wanda from Michigan originally (got out just in time!) For the past 10 years I have lived in the TEXAS!
You DID get out of Michigan just in time. The job market there is absolutely dreadful. And I'm looking forward to going to Texas, but I will miss my little town in Georgia. We lived in Texas for almost a year in Dallas, and I loved it. The whole Texas pride thing is great.
I went back to Michigan last year, it is sooo depressing, it was like a ghost town with everything closing down... soooo sad!
I can't wait till you come to Texas. Drop me a line so I can say "Welcome to Texas Ya'll!"
I'm from half way between London and Windsor Ontario Canada. It looks as if there are a couple of Canadians on Hubpages too.Eh...zs

My daughter took this picture of a building on 2nd Street in San Francisco with HubPages signage. Clearly HP has an office there.
