This person likes hubpages sooooo much, they have decided to steal a bunch of hubs:
http://nirmalbharathi.blogspot.com/2008 … e-you.html
I am not terribly bothered because I often add links to all my other stuff in my hubs, but if you are, check them out - I saw a lot of hubs cut and pasted here with no reference to the author. If you have written any hubs that score well, they will probably be here.
The stupid sack of shite could at least have named mine properly
What a A h -- le! I didn't see any of mine there. I hope you will contact Blogspot and demand that they remove th copied content.
guess they got busted, I tried the link just now and it's gone. Justice!!
I have written a hub related to this. "Stealing of Hubs". I posted the hub in a way to find more about this subject. I really do think and feel that somebody or some organisation is making money out of this. I got a comment that I shouldnt feel bad about this because it will generate traffic to my hub. But if I unable to post my own hub to other sites because someone else had already done so, that make me mad.
I left a comment but I doubt he'll approve it, but at least he knows he's been found out.
I told him he'd get banned from blogger, and I hope he does.
Don't know what the official way of stopping this is.
I don't think he's used anything of mine - must not be up to his high standards!
In order to be taken seriously I think the victims should give notice to blogger under the Digital Milennium Copyright Act. The link for reporting offenders on blogger is here: http://www.google.com/blogger_dmca.html
Perhaps another way of dealing with this is bringing it to the attention of Hubpages themselves. They can pick up the bat-phone, which likely has a direct line to Google, and nip this thing in the bud quite quickly.
Jonathan
This guy is a d*&k
Mark, are those your referral trackers, or has he supplanted them with his own?
I have a mixed mind about these.
On one hand, of course copying without permission or attribution is wrong and illegal. It is a clear violation of copyright laws. However sometimes being able to contact a "real" person via email in cases like these is tough. But you could try.
On the other hand, some of these people post the same copy months after the original was posted, and in a way that will never get the same exposure for backlinks. So the HubPages version will always get prime positioning in SERPs. Some of these Hubs, like the one Mark pointed to, have links to other Hubs, so these are effectively backlinks. Maybe low-quality backlinks with relatively little value, but backlinks nonetheless.
It's up to everyone to make the decision of whether to go after copyright violators or ignore them.
They are my referral trackers - he has basically copied the hub as-is with all my original links in it. That's why I'm not too bothered.
But I noticed he is using a lot of other people's hubs that don't do the same thing I tend to do, so I figured people might want to know and complain about him.
Mark,
I just left a very nasty comment on his blog. He'll delete it, buy hopefully it puts a little fear in him.
Jonathan
Well - that blog post is actually sending me traffic so.....
But if people have stolen content that does not have links in, it's probably worth complaining about.
Mark,
If I may ask, have you been any money to write home about on hubpages? What has worked for you?
Nothing to write home about, but this stolen hub pretty much gives a full account of what I make here
There are several threads about this. But some things work better than others. These work very well for me:
http://hubpages.com/hub/Five-Best-iPhone-Cases
http://hubpages.com/hub/Canon-XSi-450D
http://hubpages.com/hub/Five-Best-iPhone-Earphones
This is a different tack - I am going for amazon rather than adsense
And yes, I specifically picked a low value item with some of them - the more items you sell, the higher the commission - regardless of the item's value
Take a look at Maddie Rudd's hubs also - she seems to do very well with them.
They are monetizing your stolen hub with AdSense. So, despite the small benefit they may be providing you by leaving the links unchanged, I think you should report them so that Google can shut down their AdSense account. It's easy enough for them to just move stolen content to another platform, but losing their AdSense account will sting a little. They aren't nearly as easy to replace.
OK - I will take your advice on this. If I can hit them where it hurts - I agree.
How would I go about doing that?
I think these are the two places to start. You will need access to a fax machine or be willing to pay for postage. Other than that it's pretty easy.

Paul posted these earlier - the next time, I will certainly be going for the money rather than warning them
Greetings Hubbers,
I'm posting for the first time and have created my first hub. Been reading some great hubs and gaining some knowledge. Sorry about the theft of your thoughts and efforts. Cheers,
I left a very nasty and threatening post on his blog early this afternoon. If that I was my blog and I read the post I wrote, I'd take it down in a heart beat.
the one thing that can be said about writing almost exclusively to frozen sparrows, drano, mighty puddy and extremely detailed love poetry to one man is that it's last on the list for being "borrowed" for someone else's blogs.
SWeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!!!!
I even feel hotter, now.
rockinjoe's contest isn't over until it's over. that post moved you towards the elusive dollar store steak knife runner-up prize.
final resultz on rockinjoe's Hottest Male Contest will be Hubbed tomorrow. :p
Well Hot Legs with tattoo, what can I do in the meantime to increase my chances even more?
you might try scoring me the Billy Mayz OxyContin and some Billy Mayz lint brushes, yo.
adding you another boost since you knew from the start it was my leg and not my arm. LOL
those are her legs. I thought it was sher shoulder and arm.
Hot legs,
It just so happens that due to a shipping error, I have a warehouse full of Billy Mayz OxyContin and some Billy Mayz lint brushes.
It's yours baby!!!
Hot Legs, you got you socks back on your avatar. Does it mean something?
My stuff was on the perpitrator's blog too, so I reported it and messaged him I was taking legal action.
Justice works in some places, thankfully. The blog is still gone as of right now.
Nice work, Patty!!!
You go girl!!!!!!!
It appears he got bombarded from all directions. I bet he changes careers now from internet marketing to bagging grocery.
I think the next time we come across this, we should do as Paul suggested and see if we can get his google adsense account closed I wasn't sure how to go about this, but I will check and see.
I love it when the hubbers show some love for each other's work and dropkick the thieves.
Ah...the unity.
Mark, let us know what you learn.
And thanks guys - it makes sense we all look after each other - if we don't we will all get snowed under with this crap. I saw at least 20 hubs he had stolen from writers here.
Cool! I love seeing true comrades work together for the team... This should always be HP Style...

Splat!
this is how bad it is. until last year I got ashton kutcher confused with ashley judd who I thought was a country music singer and might be but I don't know because I don't listen to progressive country either. I thought jessica simpson was that little girl on The Simpsons. and to this day I could run into britney spears on the street and not recognize her. Paris Hilton, I don't even know why she's famous and I only associate her with some criminal justice news about some people breaking into that GirlzGoneWild guyz mansion and videotaping him in a compromising position, which I thought was pretty much poetic justice. Paris' role in it is that allegedly the guy who did it told her and she told the police.
heh.
Public Service Announcement: Paris got famous for making a sex tape, and then "leaking" it to the media. Classy.
Don't worry, not many would recognize Spears, apparently she's turned British.
Ashley is the daughter of singer Naomi Judd and sister of singer Wynonna Judd. Ashley Judd is an actress, and quite beautiful. I must admit that I've watched movies with her in them just because I think she's gorgeous and beautiful and sexy.
Actually, "one night in Paris" was not lil miss Hilton's claim to fame. She became famous before appearing on "the Simple Life" with her antics and connection to most of the in-crowd of female celebrity boozers. Her sex tape wasn't released officially until 2004.
I work for an adult entertainment internet company, I get paid to know these things. hehe
I appreciate the brief. To me, that is esoteric knowledge. Yes, I live a sheltered life.
thanx, ladies~
Hm...I wasn't really referring to when the tape was released...like, in a movie? It was?
No...I mean when the media had their hands on copies, and it was all over the news...Earlier than that I believe. I was like, huh? Who? Huh?
She was definitely on the scene before that, but nobody really paid attention.
I am liking this thread more and more...... Where's the lewd smilie?
One thing Paris and Brit have in common is that their coochies have been displayed to the public, in some form or another.
Well I might have heard about that since it was hard to avoid on the news (at least in regards to Paris), but I didn't look O.O
Please excuse my Bill Clinton (I didn't inhale) moment.
lolz
+1 derailing threads for amusement and fun
and on the original topic, I too think it's great to see Hubbers protect each other's work, in concert. Kudos to all who helped with that.

Well, that’s nice, very nice. I haven’t got a clue of what I did wrong. And after filling in the online appeal form they told me they had reviewed my account information, taken my feedback into account, but still had concluded that my AdSense account has posed a significant risk. And I have no idea...

I realized today that one of my hubs has been copied and re-published on two different websites. I was looking at my Google Analytics and noticed someone had searched on a complete sentence or two from one of my hubs. When I searched the sentence on Google myself I saw the other websites that...

Hi Although it's been 6 years that I've been on HubPages I have never had any trouble nor was I active in the forums. However, on Sunday, I published a fresh Hub and earlier today I've received a very disagreeable email from HubPages stating that my content was duplicate and that, because of this,...
