justine - you must get used to spammers, scammers, hammers, and bammers (I have no idea what bammers are, it just sounds good!) the HP forums are my first experience with "chatting" and I am always astounded at some of the ignorance and pure BS that happens here - but it is still fun and the only way I can interact with people - stuck out in the country!

Hey guys...Well, I wooke up to really crap news, and I'm trying to take care of the fallout...This long-time friend I hired to help me with a little freelance writing told me at the beginning of the week that he could "Absolutely" do this project for me by Sunday morning...Now this morning, he's done a tiny part of it and bails out on me saying he's sorry, he just can't hack it.

  Hehehe..I missed this post before, Justine...You are certainly right about that. I did make sure to tell him I was very upset and that he was compromising the home business I have worked for two years to build all by myself. I made sure to let him know that I trusted him and depended on him and I am very disappointed. The thing that upsets me most is that I asked him to try out a few and let me know how it went. He said everything was cool...then 2 days later, he's got five descriptions written and he bails on me. Plus, he just got married and adopted his wife's children from another marriage--I'm sure he's got tons to do, but he's always telling me how he's looking for a little extra cash; I figured I was helping him out too.

If anyone here is serious about it, I'm working on product descriptions for a catalog. I need someone to take fifty products for me, give them a new name and a new description (with positioning statement, which is really easy). Any good writer can do this easily and probably quickly...I can write at least ten of these an hour usually.

The job is easy, the descriptions are usually between 50 and 100 words, and I can pay $1.00 per description (a total of $50.00 for the project). I have examples. I would need these to be completed by Sunday Noon (EST) at the absolute latest, and I would need the chosen writer to be in touch daily showing me progress. I am doing this work as well, so I would be available to answer your questions. I can pay through PayPal immediately upon completion of the project.

ETA: There are more products if you're fast. And if I continue to be swamped as I am, there may be more projects in the future, but I can't guarantee that.

  Spider and Lynne - If Lynne can't pick it all up, I may be able to help. I can't commit to that many on such short notice, but I'm generally pretty good at "verbage." And, if it works out, I could most likely pick some up in the future. (I just need to arrange w/ the hubbie to make sure he's around so I can get some solid writing time. - That's why I can't commit to all 50 this time around - sigh. I'm putting in 30 hours at the "real" job thru Saturday, so I'd need the time in the evening and I don't know his schedule.)
