        that's cool. yeah, it's a pretty good dark comedy.  although, im not sure if i would've nominated it for best picture though. however, it's still pretty good, i think you'll like it.

  40. mega1 profile image79
    mega1posted 15 years ago

    It is going okay - just jumping in briefly to see what I have been missing- tried being offline for a couple days and then I got the urge.  Funny, isn't it?  When you talk to this group of people everyday and then don't for awhile you keep wondering what everyone is doing, then you come back online and everyone is still doing pretty much the same old stuff!  Or did I miss anything?  big_smile:

  41. lorlie6 profile image72
    lorlie6posted 15 years ago

    Hey there, Lynne, Stevennix, mega, Beth, EVERYONE!!  I just read your review of The Lovely Bones, Stevennix, and can not wait to see the film.  I love the story so very much-heard it first on a CD while commuting back and forth to work.  I literally had to pull over off the highway at a certain part in the story, I was crying so hard!
    Okay, I'm sentimental...lol

    Stevennix2001posted 15 years ago

    @mega1

    that's true.  yeah, to be honest, you didn't really miss much.  just same ol same ol pretty much.  lol. so whats on the tribe's agenda for today?  lol

    @lorie

    thanks lorie for the compliment.  i appreciate that.  I hope you'll like the movie when you see it this weekend then.  they don't emphasize on the rape part for obvious reasons, but it's still a very good movie.  i'd highly recommend it.

    Ah - A Serious Man - I liked it because it was so very, very different than the other stuff being churned out lately  - wrote one of my first reviews about it!

  44. mega1 profile image79
    mega1posted 15 years ago

    Steven - I read your review of A Serious Man just now, and left you a comment - since we're in different age groups we saw it way differently, but I guess you liked it pretty well.  I did too.

      Thanks mega for stopping by and commenting on my review.  i just left a comment on yours too.  i guess we did kind of perceive the film differently.  However, I do agree with you, the movie was pretty funny though.

    HI DOES THIS OFFEND ANYONE!!!!  WHAT IF I SAY MUSTARD?  IN ALL CAPS!    oh hell, I give up!

    here's a joke:

    Did you hear about the Buddhist who refused Novocain during a root canal? His goal: transcend dental medication

  48. mega1 profile image79
    mega1posted 15 years ago

    and another stupid joke for all my Triber buds:

    A group of friars were behind on their belfry payments, so they opened up a small florist shop to raise funds. Since everyone liked to buy flowers from the men of God, a rival florist across town thought the competition was unfair. He asked the good fathers to close down, but they would not. He went back and begged the friars to close. They ignored him. So, the rival florist hired Hugh MacTaggart, the roughest and most vicious thug in town to "persuade" them to close. Hugh beat up the friars and trashed their store, saying he'd be back if they didn't close up shop. Terrified, they did so, thereby proving that only Hugh can prevent florist friars.

    mega1posted 15 years ago

    OK!  if you didn't like those - then how about this one:

    Mahatma Gandhi, as you know, walked barefoot most of the time, which produced an impressive set of calluses on his feet. He also ate very little, which made him rather frail and, with his odd diet, he suffered from bad breath. This made him (are you ready?) a super calloused fragile mystic hexed by halitosis.

    all the preceding jokes were from Dizzyboy.com  - I love it, best joke letter in town!
