Yesterday was the first time ever I hit 1000 views in one day. I know it's not much compared to what some are getting, but it was still good to see it there. How many views do you get per day?

It's shot up in the last week or so. Currently 5000 per day.

I didn't respond to the second part of your question as I wasn't sure if I was allowed to. But since Paul posted on another thread, I think it is safe to assume that traffic numbers are okay to talk about. I get between 900 - 1000 a day recently. In summer I expect this to be 4 - 5000 a day. Last summer was 2000 a day and at this time last year, I was 4 - 500. During the off-season (winter) I get around 6-700. It's funny really, if one hub goes up another goes down during this period.

Thanks, and good for you too! This time in 2016, my views were about 350 per day. I've only written 4 new hubs since then, but several educational ones have really taken off, with a lot of views coming from India, but other hubs seem to be getting more views per day also. The ones that don't do well have less than 1000 words. I think though we've probably all learned from each other in the forums how to improve our hubs and rank better, so hopefully Google doesn't throw a spanner in the works now when things are doing well!

That's really good for only 58 articles! Are you editing Hubs and submitting to niche sites every two weeks? The more you can get on the niche sites the better you'll do!

Welcome to 1000 per day views and I wish you will get more and maintain it. It feels good and they pay is also good. For me, I get around 2500 views per day.

Congrats, dwelburn! What a great milestone to reach for the first time. I'm inches away, too! I was shocked to see views knocking on that door yesterday. Maybe it actually hit 1000 in the wee hours last night. It is indeed a great feeling. big_smile Great for earnings, too.

Nice job dwelburn I have never had that much traffic in one day before. The most views I normally get is a day is around 100 - 200 and, at most I have had 300 - 400 views in a day.

I am reading some of these posts and these figures sound amazing to me. I can only imagine getting over 2000 views in a day.

wow that's a very nice achievement. I get less than 200 a day. Have for years. My topics are obviously not highly searched as 1 of my hubs get s most of the views.
I like that goal though of 1000 a day.
I might have to try that.

Anyone with that many articles should have over 100,000 page views. I realize you will not get many for the poetry and the anecdotes but have read some others and your articles are well written. What they are NOT is thorough enough. (There are probably lots of exceptions but I did not read them all.) You need to use Google suggest or Ubersuggest to find out what you are missing. Type in the title of your article and see what comes up. Are the most popular keywords in your article even mentioned? When you find out was is missing, go into the article and edit it.

Find out as much about SEO so that your articles can have a better rating in the search engines.

To start out, you also need to use social media a lot more. Read about MFP images and go in and edit your articles so that the images will be repinned on Pinterest.
Finally, you will get at least that many views just from Hubpages. If you were more active in the community and read and commented on the forums people would be willing to look at your articles. If that does not appeal to you read some articles written by others and leave comments. SOme of them will also read your articles and leave comments. It is not much, but it is a start.

Thanks so much for the advice. It seems whatever I do makes no difference. I have tried most of your recommendations and changed articles innumerable times to make them more SEO and keyword friendly and have interacted with others on site and also promoted articles on social media but all to no avail. Maybe I should write about sex!

lobobrandonposted 7 years agoin reply to this

Too much competition there. Stick with what you have and use ubersuggest as DrMark suggested.

        2. DrMark1961 profile image99
DrMark1961posted 7 years agoin reply to this

I just ran an article of yours through ubersuggest since I liked the topic so much. (I had one of those tenants and even though I took her to court it took me over a year to get rid of her after she stopped paying rent.) However, the article was good but about black mould. How would anyone looking for an article about how to control mould infestations even find it based on the title?
When I checked ubersuggest for the title, there were tons of suggestions with very good traffic numbers. There were a lot more people interested in that topic than in dogs. If you want to write another article about eviction notices, how to evict, etc, it could be successful if you do it right. If you want to use the same article you can do so but it will need to be severely edited since it does not address those things that people are searching for.
Anyway, just an idea. Let me know if I can be of any help.

Thanks ShailaSheshadri; and you too. And thank you NateB11.

I think your articles look great, but  You have been here for two weeks -- it takes  time before they are indexed by Google. Most of us here didn't start getting significant views for several months, even years.

There just happens to be a big audience for what I wrote about and not many people writing quality content.

I have a group of women from my target market that I confer with before writing a new article and once it's done. They tell me what women like them want and that's what I deliver. I think that has helped tremendously.
