How do you comment on someone's article? I have tried to comment on a few articles but couldn't find the place to do it.

There are some niche sites that do have commenting, like axleaddict.

I can no longer post comments either, the comments boxes seem to have disappeared recently. There used to be a box at the bottom of each post when the writer wanted to accept comments, but now I cannot add comments or accept them from other users.

I think Hubpages will make it good as AxleAddict and WanderWisdom?

Lisa - You can't. For reasons never fully explained comments were disabled a couple of years ago. It had something to do with the transition to Maven or whatever iteration hosts HubPages now. We are promised the ability to comment will come back. Don't hold your breath.

Thanks. That is too bad about not commenting. Hope it comes back soon.

We currently share articles here on the newsfeed and selct a forum like books & literature.

    Then we can comment.

Drawback is ..you can't share your own work.

Thanks. I was wondering why no one was commenting on my articles that explain it.

This answers a question, I've had for a while. I feel like commenting on someone's article is a show of support and interest. I wish they would bring it back. It also feels like validation when I get comments.

      I agree with Celeste.

Totally agree Celeste about the impact comments have on writers. We are told the ability to comment will return but we don't know when. The initial promise was the second quarter of last year.

    I agree with Rupert.

But only yesterday, I was going through my mailbox, and I found a comment on one of my writes by a reader.

It was so sent because they're no way to comment on our feed pages anymore.

You can do likewise by commenting using your favourite writers' mailbox. I did.

But you can also comment if the writer is discussing in the forums another topic.

Just tell him/her how you like and appreciate the article you had in mind. Does that help?

Just noticed that the comments section are gone. This seems to have happened recently not 2 years ago as someone above said. I thought that comments was one way that Google helped give validation to an article? It would seem that no comments would hurt articles and the site in general (although I hope not).

They've been gone for about two years and no from HP will respond in these forums when we discuss it.

Comments have been gone for over a year -- perhaps you didn't check until recently.

Comments are a kind of feedback. They help to make the author a better writer. It's much easier if you read the article and are immediately able to comment on it. Don't know why they have taken away this facility.

I think it's being reasoned in some quarters that its due to commercial profit that  Maven-Hubpages withdraw the comments system.                                       That's odd enough.
