I just tried to post two hubs to shetoldme and the urls wasnt allowed. Is Hp now outlawed by them as well?
What do you mean by "as well"? Is HP outlawed elsewhere?
Yeah it was outlawed somewhere else. I think mrwong.
you should try to post to mashbite.com it's the same community as shetoldme
hmm i haven't been over there for a while. let me try...
well i just tried to create a scoop and i got this message:
Story's URL: The URL is not functioning!
and it wouldn't let me post it. 'k, what IS going on? i'm glad you said something...
I think there was a thread about this a week or so ago.
maybe check with a search.
i checked and there's quite a few but none with this particular topic. there was one that said they are not accepting new hubbers, is that it?
i joined last year, so i'm not new there.
well i emailed the webmaster. if they respond i will comment here.
umm well, there is def not a restriction against new hubbers registering, The site is run by one person and sometimes he gets behind on activating new registrants, its a manual process.
also know plenty of hub based addresses are being added daily.
the sites that banned hubpages were ones that didnt want self promoted works, shetoldme wants you to bookmark your own work.
probably just a bug or a user error.
Did you attempt to scoop a non-hubs URL and get accepted? otherwise its a pretty odd conclusion to think hubpages was "outlawed"
When I first started with shetoldme I had a LlotT of trouble getting a URL for my hub to work, so I emailed the webmaster. He didn't have any advice other than to say "Keep trying".
I did start a thread about it and posted my findings when I finally figured it out. I'll see if I can find it.
Okay, here it is:
yep, site is just broken - not accepting any URLS - being a hubpages link has nothing to do with it
Oh thank goodness I just discovered my inability to post. I thought I'd violated the TOS or samat, started looking for the partyvan.
I noticed the issue a week ago. It seemed to not accept trackers when I did my links but the links went through without the tracker fine. Not sure what is up.
I emailed the webmaster in regards to the error message Story URL is Not Functioning:
Hello, thank you for your message regarding the URL checking system not working correctly. I'll reboot the server now, and you can try again, maybe it will work.
If not tomorrow it should be resolved.
Sorry for the inconvenience, I understand it can be frustrating, but don't worry, there's nothing wrong with your account.
I don't think they banned Hubpages as I tried other regular sites as well and still got that error message.
Is anyone able to submit anything to Shetoldme?
I encountered the same problem awhile ago but didn't have time to investigate. Glad it doesn't seem to be serious or targeted at hubbers.
No, I can't submit anything either. Thanks for investigating and letting us know, sporty.
I have just posted an article on shetoldme and looks like we are good to go.
I tried posting a link to a hub recently on facebook and it wouldn't let me, after emailing them, they suggested I try emptying my browser cache, and quitting and restarting my browser. I did it and it worked. It might not be the problem dogging you there on Shetoldme, but hey - give it a try if you like...
Shetoldme is not blocking hub pages. They like Hub Pages as it has a high Google page ranking in general.
Guys, I got a reply from the webmaster there, he said that sometimes he needs to reboot the server so if you have a problem retry every few hours. Hubpages is not banned there.
Yeah I got hit by that problem, should be fixed now though!

In checking my email, I found early this week I received an email from the above party, telling me they will notify me by email of any errors they find when crawling my site... Did we all get one? I wonder if they are doing it because of problems mentioned by staff early this week...

Since I finished the apprenticeship, and after umpteen updates and changes made on HP, my traffic has never picked up. I can't remember the last time I saw any more than 40 views a day. My average at the moment is more like 30. The articles I worked long and hard to produce, sit there doing nothing...

I had a hub that was receiving around 1,300-1,500 views per day. It was chosen as Editor's Choice. It then dropped by about 1,000 views per day. I opted out of the program, but that hub is no longer showing in Google for the keywords that brought it all the traffic before EC messed it up. How can I...

Is There A Way To Confirm HubPages Domain Ownership For Bing Webmaster? I know it can be done with Google Webmaster Tools, but when I tried to confirm that I "own" the domain Rock_nj at HubPages in For Bing Webmaster (to help assess my ranking at Bing and Yahoo), it had three...

This idea was just passing through my mind and I was wondering if anyone else had thought of something similar. The idea is simple. I was wondering if a group of hubbers got together to write theme hubs and interconnected those hubs through links if it wouldn't pay off with the seo bots.Is such a...
