I told RMR that I would give him my butter tart recipe because he crosses over into Canada to buy them and doesn't want to have to get a passport to do so.  Unfortunately, I moved and I don't know where it is.  I gave my oldest daughter a bunch of my cookbooks (I don't even cook), so I'm not sure if it's even here or she has it.  My boxes are not being unpacked until I move again, but I poke around in them every so often to see if I can spot it.  So far, no luck.

been looking at a new site called "Etsy"

Anyone doing anything there?  It's a handmade crafts site with all different catagories but I'm interested in a catagory for supplies and another for vintage.  Doesn't sound to bad but would like some feedback.

    1. Shirley Anderson profile image72

Okay, here goes...I started to win, then Bob, Compu-Smart, SirDent, RMR, Ruthie, Drummer Boy, Wedding Consultant, and a host of other regulars started getting in my way.  Then I surpassed them because I am the most tenacious person on the planet.

      Did I miss anything guys?

Yes, I do know how to deal with an unruly jackalope....you withhold butter tarts, use them for bait, threaten to destroy them while making him watch....whatever is necessary to make him behave.  Naturally, you're going to have to reward him with one for good behaviour.

Please send help. I have been tied to a chair in the basement, by an evil jackalope. I am forced to type with my big toe, as everything else is bound with the plastic from butter tart boxes. I think he has discarded his evil short pants to better blend with the local fauna. He should be considered armed, and dangerous!

    1. Shirley Anderson profile image72
Shirley Andersonposted 17 years agoin reply to this

Not to worry, Moose!  I've already contacted the RCMP (they're used to working with moose) and they should be belly crawling up to the basement window any time now.

The jackalope was last seen putting calamine on his tender areas.  Apparently, you have poison ivy near your house?

Hold tight, and save the strength in your big toe!  Help is on the way.

News Flash Update:  Officials have surrounded the area outside of Moose's house.  They have the jackalope contained in a patch of tall crabgrass, but he is refusing to surrender.  According to RCMP Constable, Jack Canuck, plans to lay down a trail of butter tarts to lure the felon out will be finalized and put into place by lunch time, when the evilpanted jackalope will be hungriest.

    Stay tuned for further updates.

No sign of the Mounties yet, either. Hope their horses didn't get spooked by the tunnel.

It's their lunch break.  They'll be back after their back bacon sandwiches, poutine, and beer.
