They do freeze, but I never find the pastry part to be as good and sometimes the consistancy of the filling isn't as nice afterwards, depends on how long you keep them and whether or not you've stored them airtight - just like anything else you freeze.

Hope you have a big freezer if you're stocking up for the next 20 years.

I am way too slippery for that. It would, most assuredly, look like an accident. If you don't like hockey, Shirley, I think I saw some nice figure skates on EBAY. Not sure what those stains on them are. No need to ask though. I'm sure theres a perfectly innocent explanation.

    Contest update:
Upon reviewing page one, I have come to the conclusion that the rules have been misinterpreted. It merely says "Last one to post is the winner". It does not specifically mention this thread. To be the ultimate winner, I believe you need to be last to post on every thread on hubpages, and perhaps the entire internet! I will graciously wait here, while you all go on to greatness across the web. We now return you to regularly scheduled forum posts.

Shane--there's some great tourist info on the net.  Check it out.  But whatever you do be sure to stop at Lambert's at least once to eat!  Great food and an interesting experience!

Outside of Springfield in Ozark, I think.  You could just follow the signs--you know the ones that say " 100 miles to Lambert's", "50 miles to Lambert's", "10 miles to Lambert's", "you just passed Lambert's--turn around!".

Shirley--what exactly is a butter tart?

Shirley Andersonposted 17 years agoin reply to this

WHAT?!?  you don't know what a butter tart is?  oh, you are missing out.

do you like pecan tarts?  i know you have those.  butter tarts are similar - no pecans, of couse, though you can add nuts if want (very few do), most often they have raisins in them

it took me a long time to type this ith one hand

thanks for the info--love pecan pie mainly because of the pecans, so the butter tart is just the "gluey" stuff in a pecan pie?

Shirley Andersonposted 17 years agoin reply to this

I've never had pecan pie, but I've had the tarts once or twice and I would say yes, the same sort of gooey filling, with or without raisins (most popular) and nuts (not so much popular)

Huh?  lost you there--what does cream have to do with pecan pie's gluey filling?
