We interrupt our regularly scheduled program.  Broadcasting will resume after this reporter has a shower.

Please enjoy the test pattern meantime.

Just a quick as a bunny question--how is the jackalope getting from Ontario to London?

That's some might deep water to swim and an awful big leap, even for a super jackalope!

Everybody the world over thinks we all say, 'eh', eh?.

Proper Canadian Verbiage 101....it is used at the end of most sentences in a questioning intonation.  For example:  "Bob makes great stew, eh?"  "He went to the races, eh?"

Proper usage ensures that even statements come out sounding like questions.

          Any questions?

neither do we.  i was surprised the first time i heard someone mention that Canadians are best known for saying that, above all else.  that was MANY years ago, of course.  sometimes i just listen to people talk so i can note if or how often they actually do say eh....some people (my oldest daughter included) say it a ton of times in one conversation.  i have no idea where it originated from.

eh?  toques, beavers, moose, mounties and beer.  we're known for all the best stuff.  oh yeah, and snow.

Glad to give you the nod WC! And it's definitely "eh?".

The description Shirley gave was spot on. It is used at the end of a sentence to form a question out of a statement.

eg. Nice weather eh? Wow, it's cold today eh? Did you see the hockey last night, great game eh?

And so on and so forth. Lol.
