   Also I am on qassia which gives me backlinks http://lissie.qassia.com/ but you have to add a bit of "intel" short article to get the virtual $ to get the link - seems to work

   Not necessarily Marisa -  but make sure you vote for other people's articles -bloggingzoom.com does the same submit all your own but then vote for other people's stuff and they will reciprocate

    Does anyone know what makes a post get "published" on this site?
    
    I thought it might be getting five votes, but there are published posts with fewer than five. I can't find any FAQ or any explanation.
    
    I found some stats which say that all my votes so far are categorised as "unpublished", even when I voted for published posts, so I am just confused.
    
    I also tried clicking on the categories down the side, and there are no posts in any of them, even the categories that I posted my own posts in - how does THAT work?

    P.S. Thanks for reminding me about DropJack - when I registered with GoArticles they tried to get me interested in it, but there was zero activity. Nice to see it's started moving a little, and HEY, the PR from the GoArticles site is clearly transmitting. Get published there and you are on a PR 4 page immediately.

    It's getting me thinking - DropJack seems to have an identical engine behind it - only the decoration is different. If we has five or six hubbers on there at the same time, maybe we could dominate its front page, too.

    OK, some answers to questions asked here.
    
    Yes, there is no PR yet, it's a brand new site. I just discovered it myself yesterday night. PR will come, and while it is nice to have - any extra link, even from a page without PR helps your ranking. Think what you put in anchor, though
    
    Don't submit only your site/hubs, please. Nobody really likes that, unless it is specifically encouraged. This is not the case here. So, try to diversify.
    
    Getting on the first page is nice, but it does not have any SEO effect. Neither of those sites is DIGG, so nobody will pick your links from there and publish all over the net. Even for PR5 dropjack homepage SEO benefits are limited to a couple of weeks while Google remembers that there once was a link to your hub there.
    
    What I do - I try to get as many votes as possible - votes are links from other profiles that transfer link juice internally. And I social bookmark details page to bring in some external link love

    Not only does blogatiser.com not have any Page Rank, according to Yahoo it only has one inbound link, and none according to Google, and Compete.com shows no traffic history.  I think I'll spend my time on getting links elsewhere.

    I am David Hobson the owner of www.Blogatiser.com and yes a fellow hubber.
    
    Thanks to all that have registered and i have read all the replies to this thread and will try to answer some of the questions i have seen.
    
    It takes 5 votes to be published on the homepage it was 2 for the first couple of hours this will eventually rise to around 15-20 votes to get published once the website becomes popular.
    
    As for the page rank their is`nt any because its a new website on a new domain so this will come in time.
    
    One thing i will ask is that people DO NOT submit their home pages as the site is for blog posts and articles only.
    
    I will also in the future be looking for admins and these positions will goto established members.
    
    It would be great for people to spread the word around about the website because when it gets more and more popular it will benefit us all.

          David, I know it's late where your'e at but I have a question about the site: (if you could get back to me tomorrow that would be awesome)

    I can't help noticing that almost everyone has submitted their own work.  Isn't this meant to be a Digg lookalike, i.e we're meant to be submitting sites we think have value, not just advertising our own stuff? Which means we should be submitting each other's work, not our own?

       There is an open source program which these sites are built on so they are all similar - but at least they all work the same way as well.  At the moment with such a new site all "management" was is lots of content to be added so the site itself will get on google's radar - imagine the bot is going around in circles at the moment with this sudden burst of activity. 
       
       Maybe later they will change the rules but as Mark said the stie is happy they have content and users - Im happy because I have do-follow backlinks : in fact on of my submissions (not hubpages) just got indexed - been trying for over a week - probably a coincidnece but...
