This is very ironic that I published this hub yesterday because a big decision was just made regarding this issue...see the updates at the end of the hub.

The day after I posted this hub a preliminary agreement was reached to remove the Gray Wolf from the Endangered Species List.  It is still not a "done deal" so I tried to update my hub accordingly.  Hope I'm not being "overly-promotional" or something because I put 3 links, I'm still learning the ways:)

Hey, that's exciting that this HubMob is going for another week!  I love this topic!

I wrote mine here. We are deeply connected to our pets emotionally as they represent to us as members of our family. Dogs especially have long been considered man’s best friend. Today, I own a Rottweiler. Here's my story:

Hi Princessa, my contribution this week is How to Adopt a Pet in Toronto.  I've noticed that there are quite a few hubs written already about adopting pets, but we really need to make other people be aware of the fact that a lot of animals are waiting for a mom or a dad to take them home.

My first hub. Feedback is of course welcome. Still polishing it and adding some touches here and there, but mostly done. It's about the ten things you need to make your kitty happy. The reason I wrote on this subject is that there are a lot of cats out there who have behavioral problems simply because their main needs aren't met, often due to ignorance on the behalf of the owner. Generally, one can already prevent or remedy a lot by fulfilling these ten basic things smile

Thank you very much. I scrambled to get it done in time as it originally was 2.300 words and I still didn't manage to get it under 1000, far from, but I'm hoping it's concise enough to captivate people's attention.

Still fighting with the whole adsense, amazon and linking stuff, but finally managed to figure it all out. All in all, its a pretty easy system once you know your way smile

I have very few hubs under 1000 words, and have a few over 2000.

You can certainly take advantage of all that work by "re-packaging" your content if you kept it on something like MS Word.  You could write additional hubs elaborating on some of the 10 areas.  Then interlink them all.

I did something like this on my first breast cancer hub, which is a little over 2000 words.  So far I've written 2 related additional hubs, elaborating on range of motion and lymphedema management.  I still want to do one on scar management.

          1. Vala Faye profile image59
Vala Fayeposted 13 years agoin reply to this

Yeah, I saw some people here used that strategy and I was planning on it myself. I have trouble keeping on the surface though and not instantly going in depth, but I forced myself to keep it as superficial as I could, to then deepen all those issues out later on in additional hubs smile

It kinda provides its own inspiration that way, doesn't it? smile

Yeah, but don't beat yourself up.  You are who you are, and I'm certainly not brief and concise. I don't think having a few in-depth, long hubs is going to hurt us at all.  According to hub stats, my long hubs hold readers' attention just fine.

Gray wolf matieral is very good. In the late 1980s, Ohio Natural Resources officials imported grey wolves to our state parks north of my city. They have thrived there, where they once lived before. So nature is being restored.
