my hub karma is 99 and i am looking to see that jump to 100 shortly. hard work is getting that hub karma to 100. hub karma is basically showing some love to your fellow hubbers.
if you want to see the number jump, give some luv to your fellow hubbers and watch the number grow.

I don't really get the Hub Karma thingy, I have an accolade one day and the next day its gone, LoL...I just started less than a week ago. I not writing anything right now . Just reading and trying to learn how to get higher traffic counts. I've been trying to use the Adsense key word tool. I don't know how accurate it is. smile

I don't do hub karma anymore.  I think it detracts from my hubs and it seems to bring my score down.

Its a pity that no one ever told you what your optimum hubkarma should be. Please be informed that you should aim for 150 at least. Otherwise you can look down upon yourself. smile

SunSeven, it's not fair to play pranks on newbies!

HubKarma is completely unimportant.  I don't know why HubPages even bothers with it.

A good HubKarma score won't improve your earnings, in fact it may even have the opposite effect.

That's because you get a good HubKarma score by linking to other Hubs within your Hub.   If you're linking to your own Hubs, that's fine - but if you're including lots of links to other Hubs, you're just inviting your readers to go and visit those Hubs and click on their ads, instead of clicking on your ads.

Also you're creating more work for yourself, as Hubs are sometimes deleted, and that will create broken links on your Hub.

HubKarma is only on 0-100 scale, not more than 100. Mine is 83 now. HubKarma not only shows your love to fellow hubber's hubs, but also to the topics in the HubPages. Linking the words to relevant topics, questions or even forums can increase your HubKarma!!

I never look at my Hubkarma, the only Karma that interests me has nothing to do with hubs.

SunSeven why would anyone look down upon themselves for having hubkarma below 150?  In the real world hubkarma is meaningless.

I would echo Marisa, and would add that if you do want to link to other hubber's hubs, do it in a links capsule and add one of your referral trackers, so then you have at least some chance of getting some gains from them leaving your account

Mines 81.  It was 88 yesterday.  Then I published a new Hub and linked to someone else's hub in it, and it went down to 81.

    Go figure.

Not something I care about anymore.

I think people here are getting confused between HubKarma and Hub Profile scores.

According to the FAQ: http://hubpages.com/faq/#hubkarma the HubKarma score is a measure of how well you link to other hubs. Whether or not HubKarma has any real benefit I haven't worked that out yet but if you want to see what your current HubKarma score is then go to one of your own Hubs and click on the Green Suggest Links button at the top. Then on the Right hand side a Black Box will pop up with instructions on Linking to other Hubs and in there it will tell you your current HubKarma.

Currently mine is only 28 where as my HubProfile Score (Which is the number next to your Profile Pictures on Hubs and Comments) is around 80. Now this one is much more important because that dictates how active you are on HubPages and how good you've been to the Hubber Community.

Also if you maintain a HubProfile Score of 75 and above then any Hubs you create that are higher than 40 will have DoFollow Links. Great for SEO of your Personal Webpages.
