http://freearticle24.info/?p=2426
My favourites are movies with simple to follow plots and good action, but above all clever dialogue and good acting, and at least some complexity of character. These are some of mine:
The Big Country
In the Heat of the Night
The Untouchables
Apollo 13
Witness
All the Indiana Jones movies
Jaws, Duel, and most other Spielberg movies
Terminator 1 and 2
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
Master and Commander
Batteries not Included
Nottinghill
Star Wars
and many others.
I'm just in the process of writing some film review hubs, starting with Apollo 13 - hopefully to publish wihin one week
I have so many! Here are a few:
Casablanca
Top Hat
Moonstruck
Four Weddings and a Funeral
The Rocky Horror Picture Show
It Happened One Night
Chasing Amy
Morocco
Monsoon Wedding
From Russia With Love
Goldeneye
The Have and Have Not
Adam's Rib
Defending Your Life. Perfect - romance, comedy, Albert Brooks, Meryl Streep, Rip Torn, (even Shirley MacLaine cameo!) Wonderful.
Bonnie & Clyde
Wuthering Heights
Interview With The Vampire
My Sisters Keeper.
Pay it forward.
Grown Ups.
To Kill a Mockingbird
Pride and Prejudice
The King's Speech
Silence of the Lambs
12 Angry Men
Pretty much anything by Hithcock
hey mighty mom, did you hear about the new film based on hitchcock set to be released soon? Supposedly anthony hopkins is set to play Alfred Hitchcock in a movie, where he plays the director when he's trying to get his "Psycho" movie off the ground.
In no particular order
Pulp Fiction
Godfather 1 & 2
The Dark Knight
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Ran
Rashomon
Seven Samurai
Star Wars
Taxi Driver
Raging Bull
Rocky I, II, and III
Goodfellas
Inception
Shutter Island
Rebeca
Superman I & 2
I love Rebecca! I don't run across many people who've seen it, but I think it's one of Hitchcock's best.
I think so too. It's nice to meet another hubber out there that enjoys watching old movies too. I'm hoping one of these I'll be able to watch all the classic films eventually, but sadly I have to make the newer films more of a priority since they generate the most clicks for me. Anyways, I take it you like watching movies a lot?
Ooh! Great list. I love almost every one of those movies, Stevennix!

I see people have a hard time picking their #1 favorite movie! As Chasescats posts, I agree when you have a rather large collection, it's hard to pick a favorite. So for now I'm going with two rather than a list!
1. The Wizard of Oz (I have so many questions on "what if's" about this movie I could write a hub on "What if..." on it! lol
2. The Others. Because it draws such a fine line between reality and non-reality with life/death and religion, and what we think or were taught in life, have we all gone mad, what was the reason for going mad.. life, being left, is there an afterlife, is religion twisting what we think of reality or none reality?
It truly is a hard question to answer this as just one...or maybe I just think too much
