Tea is a way to go. Either after or before food. Only drink 1 cup of coffee in the morning. You should check out my hub about tea. Got very simple recipe for tea.
It is all about preference.
I really thought that tea was more suitable to be consumed after dinner however I just recently got back from Paris and I dined at a lot of Michelin star restaurants and they did not even offer tea after dinner, so that was definitely surprising.
I am a total tea drinker, mainly iced tea, I wish i liked coffee, but I can just not get myself to enjoy it
coffee at work, to keep me awake
tea with mint at home, very refreshing
thought that coffee has more caffeine than tea
Before food , if we take tea or coffee, it will affect your intake of food amount. Any body is there to share their experience on this.
Coffee! coffee! coffee!
Unless I am sick, then I drink oolong tea
I have found that sometimes too much coffee to drink is barely enough.
Give me more coffee! It's too damn early in the morning to be up.
I remind myself. My forum post was
Which is advisable? Taking cofee or tea after food or before food? which is mostly recommeded or practised?
But we are going around the preferences of coffee and tea.
Has anyone ever make expresso with Water Joe? It's the breakfast of champions
Taking water before food is helpful to reduce the acidity level. After food , it interferes with digestion. But here we are talking about the hot drinks (tea, coffee)
hmmm...I prefer coffee......unless it's sweet tea during the meal! But for coffee, I would like it with my breakfast in the morning and after lunch or dinner. These are only my preferances, though; not would I would advise for health!
Ebower , I am asking about after food or before food , how you feel?
Very interesting to hear this. But most of the people like coffee or tea after food. Before food , if you take coffee or tea, the intake of food will not reduce?
I love coffee w/ cream..black coffee is ok too, that is only if no cream is available..
Coffee, always, forever, always, I LOVE YOU COFFEE.
Seriously though, sometimes I switch to a tea in the afternoons, if I'm feeling a bit jittery.
Personally, I dont like "coffee" , but I love flavored cappuccino and I do drink alot of iced tea, whenI lived with my grandma, I drank hot tea with her daily, but I have not had a hot cup of tea in quite a lng time..I do drink about a gallon of iced tea every few days or so, it has to be southern style sweetened for me to really enjoy it.I also like Chai, does that count?
coffee in the morning-Ice tea after that-Why don't I just hook-up an IV that drips caffiene into 24/7...Yeah!
Hi manlypoetryman , how you feel the taste if IV drips the caffeine.
doesnt matter what beverage you have, your body wouldnt care less, either way it will go in & must come out & the cycle starts over again depending on the mood at the time..?
Sometimes I need coffee (which is a worry in itself) and I do enjoy tea (white, no sugar). Another sneaky favourite is peppermint and there's a spearmint and chamomile one that is great for bedtime.
Coffee at least 3 pots a day plus 2 cups from my Keurig single server. A great little single serve brewer if your looking. I think the pods are too strong though and make my own with a pod maker accessory. Cheaper that way too.
Green tea after a heavy meal, lemongrass tea during flu season and coffee very seldom.
Unless you drink DECAF tea there is just as much caffeine in teas as there is in coffee.
I drink arround 7 coffes a days. It is not good for my healt but I cannot help it. lol
I drink more coffee than tea. But, I do drink both. Coffee or Tea, depending on preference of the individual really.
I can have coffee or tea, with breakfast.
I can have coffee or tea, after any meal.
I drink tea if I want to warm myself up. Coffee doesn't do it.
coffee - as much as I can get with as much sugar as I can put in then tea with my mother :
coffee is always better at breakfast, because it makes you more alert to face the rest of the day.
Tea is more of a way for relaxing, especially Chai Tea or Chamomile Tea, to make you more relaxed BB
Tea, especially sencha.
Coffee is overrated. I mainly drink it for the boost.
It's highly recommended and advised to have coffee after food only but small amount bcz coffee helps the digestion system while tea is really harmful since it absorbs the minerals from your meal... But if you have too, have green teas only and 1 hour at least after food. This should vitalize you and bon appetite smile

I like to drink coffee while I study, and I will drink tea in the evening, usually after dinner. I have long felt that reading concentration is enhanced by a bit of caffeine - but this might be a placebo effect rather than something real.
I have read in Food-Your Miracle Medicine book studies have shown that caffeine does counteract the mental slump you feel after dinner and many people (the book states particularly Europeans), will follow a meal with a cup of coffee for that very reason.
Hi avangeud
happy new year.I think , like chain smokers , we do find chain drinkers (only coffee or tea); I do not know how they are called. Anyway coffee or tea drinking activates or recharges the brain, make them refresh.
Both are high in antioxidants. But coffee tastes better
I am not sure which one to drink at what time for the health benefits, but this link details the health benefits of both.

I am definitely a coffee girl. I need at least 4 cups/day! So, for me coffee, however, if focusing in on health, tea is recommended!
Being Irish i love my tea...no sugar, teabag left in just long enough and a dash of milk. Although i do like my coffee for a change and a wee pick me up but all in all....nothing like a hot cup of tea on a windy rainy day........who am i kidding, i'd drink hot tea even when the sun is splitting the stones!! lol
Tea, just having a cup, it is 11 am in Ireland right now, juts posted recipe for Irish Stew on my Hub...
Interesting question. I've been a 'tea-belly' for as long as I can ever remember. I've always preferred to juice or soft drinks even as a small child. I only very occasionally drink coffee perhaps half a dozen times a year.

I have decided I have to stop. I am so sad. I love coffee; the taste, the smell, how it makes me feel. But lately I've been having pains in my chest that go away when I don't drink coffee. So, I think I'll have to switch full time to tea. I bought some green tea yesterday and when I was drinking it...

Coffee or tea?And why? I like both, but coffee is the sure winner -- because it smells wonderful, no tea aroma can put a smile on my face like some fresh coffee aroma, and it makes me type faster. I can list more reasons, but I won't.

Is there something in coffee or tea besides caffeine to make you jittery?Even when I drink decaf, I still feel jittery. Is there something other than caffeine that causes this? Or is it that they simply just can not remove ALL of the caffeine?

How much tea is a safe amount to drink per day? Most people drink a cup of tea every couple of hours, so exactly how much is enough before you start damaging your health?

What's you first drink in the morning? Tea, coffee, juice or maybe something else? And why?I am a huge tea drinker (English upbringing) but my first drink of the day is always a coffee. I think it's just habit as it is quick and easy using my Keurig one-cup coffee maker. How...
