So, Michael Jordan has class and Lebron doesn't. It was already known. Athletes have ego problems, because they are paid well.

They are all boring, unless they are on the field. The words that come out of their mouth is not much better than the politicians in office. Most of them are not interested in a title, sure they will tell you that they want it, because it is in their best interest.

But, you can never really trust them, because most athletes that go into sports, really are not looking at the reward at the end of the season, just the fortune they can make from playing.

Their real motivation can only be judged based on what they do for action with regards to the sport they play. Those who want titles and understand that it requires an entire team to get it, get their title. Those who do not, do not.

Did you get beat up by a professional athlete as a child?

and since when does Jordan have class?

        No, I did not. hmm
When he played the game. I have no clue what he has done with his life, because it doesn't really matter in the scope of my life. hmm

No. He doesn't either. The media all over it, it is hard not to hear something about it. But, it does not impact my life one way or another. I do not watch Basketball and not a basketball fan.

So, with that said- do enjoy. I'm headed to bed. Good night all. smile

not unless cags lives in cleveland ohio, as i can imagine a lot of people are going to get laid off there.  as the economy up there was dependent on james.  however, if he doesn't live there, then it won't affect them.  that's why i feel sorry for cleveland fans and it's citizens.

You know that rather large fellow would likely kick your ass just because of his size and athleticism. Try boasting about beating him in a spelling bee or something more believable.

yeah, but you fail to forget, that i don't fight fair.  I always fight dirty.  therefore my strategy would be to buy a shotgun then shoot off his knee caps and shoulders, then shoot him in the groin.  then as he's on the ground withering in pain, i'd take out a metal baseball bat and beat him within an inch of his life.  he won't see it coming either.  by the way, im kidding folks, as i doubt seriously i'll ever meet the man.  lollollol

I just found that I have a broken battery post in my golf cart (we have private roads in this development and can use carts to tool around the place).

Ticks me off.  It apparently might be able to be fixed, but requires tools and likely skill I do not have, so I'll probably end up buying a new one.  Fortunately they are not very old so I should not have to match the rest.

Anybody ever done this repair? Or have an opinion on the skill required?  http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/electric … ent-3.html

Hi Cagsil, Rafini and all.  How are you today?  I see you've been chatting about camping.  I didn't mind camping when I was about eight, but unless I'm staying in a luxury caravan with six bedrooms and a toilet (which I have done) - I really don't want to do it anymore. If I have to sleep on the ground, I'd rather it was the floor of my lounge!

    1. Cagsil profile image71

I am doing well Precious and hope you are also.
I like roughing it, being outdoors in the natural surroundings. It is peaceful. If you want, you can bring an air-mattress to sleep on. Therefore, sleeping on the ground isn't actually necessary. smile

Now, that is really sad Rafini.

Before your present post, was your last post and that was two days ago. Apparently, a "chatter's thread" really isn't needed, because everyone can simply hijack another thread and talk about whatever it is that they want to talk about.

      Oh well. hmm

      1. Rafini profile image81
Rafiniposted 14 years agoin reply to this

that depends.  I'd rather have a chatters thread...I don't like interrupting another conversation....hmm  for those who don't have an issue with it, let them hi-jack.  It doesn't hurt, does it?  big_smile

        1. Cagsil profile image71
Cagsilposted 14 years agoin reply to this

I do not mind that they want to hijack this thread. It was made to talk about anything and everything.

Hijacking other forum threads is ridiculous, even though I was in on some of the fun at times. Then, I matured and realized that hijacking a thread defeats the purpose of the thread and makes one's action, no better than those who insult the people who start such threads.

The wiser, the better. Seen error in my ways, corrected problem. wink

sometimes hi-jacking can't be helped - or at least is unintentional.  (what I think, anyway)

Cagsilposted 14 years agoin reply to this

Yes, sometimes it is unintentional, but when that happens, it is like a prosecutor in a court room....the defense lawyer shouts out "I object! It has no baring on the case", and then the prosecutor says, "subject to connection at a later time".

Meaning, interrupt a thread to make a point, that is in connection to the thread, but hijack it to get it across. wink

I don't think it is.  At the moment this is the one I look for most.  After a stressful day I find some of the forums - how shall I put it not to my taste.  Up to my eyes and very tired.  It's gone midnight here - so Rafini and Cagsil - I bid you goodnight and hopefully I will catch up with you very soon.

big_smile  Good enough.  smile  I enjoyed myself enough at the fair, but nothing like I did when I was younger!  lol  No prob, though. smile

My emotions are going crazy and I hope they settle down soon.  It feels like there's a pinball bouncing around in my head hitting one emotion after another waiting to find the right one before going down the center and missing the flippers.  The only good thing about it is...at least I know I can still feel proper feelings. big_smile

Kinda like the debates I was involved in a few weeks ago - at least I knew my brain still worked. big_smile

        How are you tonight?

I am doing well. I published a hub earlier today and found it non-receptive, then deleted. But, then again, it probably was a hub many people could not identify with. So, it's gone.

I didn't quite like, when I hit publish, but had worked on it most of the day, so you can imagine how long the hub was.(1900+words long)

I called "Reality of Life For The Average Person", however, I guess it was a bit over the top. lol

Other than that, I'm doing fine.

          1. Rafini profile image81
Rafiniposted 14 years agoin reply to this

How did you find it non-receptive?  The title doesn't sound horrible - doesn't sound like a how-to or anything like that lol  how was it over the top?

            1. Cagsil profile image71
Cagsilposted 14 years agoin reply to this

Hit publish and no one reads it. lol lol lol

Not to mention, no marks or comments.
I didn't think it sounded horrible- actually, when I published the hub "Educate:" was before the title. It was located in Education and Science category, under Knowledge and Wisdom.
Actually, I'm not sure if it was, it's just a feeling. wink

oh.  Does someone usually read your hubs soon after they're published?  You do have a lot of followers....  sometimes someone reads mine soon after its published but usually it takes at least half a day.

  28. Cagsil profile image71
    Cagsilposted 14 years ago

Well, it was published for several hours and it was unusual that it wasn't read or was read but didn't draw comments, for some reason or another. hmm

    It's not a problem.

Rafiniposted 14 years agoin reply to this

well, I'd say you know what you're doing. smile  I was just trying to understand it.  So far the only hub I've deleted is one I only had a title and URL for. hmm

Cagsilposted 14 years agoin reply to this

I've written many other hubs, hit publish and then delete them after re-reading them. lol

Just too many changes to make, so scrapping the whole is good. Can always make another hub. wink I know the time that went into, but I'm okay with it.

Oh well Joy, it is permanently gone now. It was deleted, and during the conversation I had with Rafini about it, I then restored it back, because I was considering re-publishing it.

However, I ultimately made the decision to delete it yet again. So, now it's really gone. So, that means it will never be read. smile

i will tell you what is happening in my life... I work with the elderly, but have come over to look after my dad in Manchester as my sister who is his carer, has gone over for the birth of her grandchild tomorrow.

He has been so ill today, as a result of medication, that has proved unsuitable for him.  My mum died 2 years ago, and i have had a weepy day.

I bought somewater colour pencils and paper today, and stamps with would you believe Peter Rabbit on them to stamp colour then make cards tomorrow.  That has been my day, phoning doctors, helping my dad up and down the stairs on his new, stair lift. big_smile

I thought you were in Oz or some other where !

I spent loads of time in and around Manchester inspecting and repairing bridges. On the one hand I found that it can be a bit depressing some days but in the couple of years before I left the UK I was finding more and more really nice stuff there.  Mostly due to the guy who was the news photographer for one of the major newspapers, took most of the iconic photos of the last 50 years.  He died shortly after, but we were privelaged to have him take us around his exhibition before it opened and discuss his pics - then he took us on a bit of a tour around 'his' Manchester. If I can remember his name with my second coffee I will tell you big_smile

America as an idea was born in Manchester, the funding for the first ventures was raised in Manchester.  Some of the guilds and organisations that still operate in Manchester were formed long before America was settled.  The Industrial Revolution for he whole world started in Manchester, the first iron bridge is still at Telford, just outside, that made the railways etc possible. America is too young to have any history that begins to compare.

He took us on a bit of a tour around the architecture mainly, bit like a history lesson of the Industrial Revolution.  I recall we went to what I think was the town hall with the crests of all the guilds etc that formed in Manchester and then were the basis of most of todays big business, and colonialism of course.

We also went through a few times on the canals when I had young family, the water back streets are especially interesting as they go behind most of the big steel places etc but the canal strip is still a kind of wildlife reserve - interesting mix.

ever since my sweet little dog peed on my keyboard, my laptop is toast.  I can work some keys and the hard drive seemingly is okay but the entire left side of the keyboard does commands bizarre and not relevant to the letter.

    ahhhhhhhhhhh

If I loose everything I'll cry.  Then pee on my dogs bed.

    ewwww gross thought

    I'm joking.

Chatting a rant having to buy my 3rd mac this year kinda pisses me off

however now I buy laptops and they are always the newest version so I best give my dog a treat.

    wow I feel better

    Just love to chat
