In the beginning was god.

And this god was a bit unusual for an omnipotent, omnipresent omniscient  god, in as much as although being all of the above was jealous, a murderer of all but 8 of mankind and managed to wipe out his subjects for all sorts of petty things especially killing those that did not believe in him.He killed off more people than all the wars have since.

After he made himself, he became his own son then killed himself to save mankind.

The saving mankind bit does seem a tad weird as he spent all of his time punishing and destroying his own creation because they would not toe the line, so he was saving them from the only threat hanging over their head at the time. Himself.

As time went by he became such an incredible threat to the earth habitat as he caused floods, famine pestilence and hoards of insects to punish them all again and again until himself as his son decided to come back from the dead and save us all over again, once again from his father's or his own wrath depending on when he was the son or the father.

This schizophrenia had a gentle side and as the son he offered all sorts of advice, but it still amounted to saving them only if they believed that the son and father were gods.

The omnipresent part again was a bit weird as he never showed up!
The Omniscient part was even weirder as although omnipresent and omnipotent he never lifted a finger to save innocent babies or dear old ladies from horrible deaths.

His omnipotence was even more bewildering when he could not even feed himself and could not even sustain himself without the whole planet grovelling like lunatics at his feet.

Then his son said "If you believe in me all your prayers will be answered" but in 2,000 years never answered even one prayer.

After careful examination of the facts some people decided that to worship a lunatic who never showed up, never helped a single being and did nothing but make threats they would not believe in him.
His followers decided to call them atheists and tell them they are going to burn in eternal hell and damnation forever.

2,000 years later his followers have exactly the same mentality as they had back then. Any person who could think for themselves had to be converted to fearing and grovelling at the feet of the great god who would otherwise not allow them to live forever and ever and ever and ever and...

    What a story! lol

In Gnostic literature it says that this 'god' was the result of ignorance.  The story goes, Sophia (the mother God) ignorantly gave birth to her son.

Now, Sophia gave birth to Ignorance.  Ignorance (the name of the god she gave birth to) didn't know he was ignorant and believed and still does believe that he is the highest god of them all.

Now, Sophia repents...she realized her mistake -having given birth without a consort- and Ignorance is brought out of existence through gnosis.

It is always easy to see the false of god in another.

But the real question is can you find the truth of God in you?

Remember the false goes nowhere unless truth is with it.

Considering god is everything or existence or universe assumption-

Universe > 1k-2k galaxies(there are more than that) > Milky way galaxy > Solar system (our) > earth

    - Wind god came all the way down to earth to make women pregnant and what we have flying monkey god-hanuman in hinduism.
    - Sun came all the way down to earth to make women pregnant and what we have karan the warrior(hinduism).
    - God came all the way down to earth to make virgin gal pregnant for the sake of his son's message and what we have ? yeshua.
    - God sent prophet in campfire of barbarian people to marry little girl, kill some non-religious people or anyone who were not from their religion and what we have  ? islam and Prophet Mohammad uncle (Please ban upon him)..

    and list goes on...

Thanks theists for such Bull Sh*t religious delusion.

Kess says i have to find the truth of God in me.

I am therefore happy to anounce that i found it, so i hereby declare myself GOD.

Please leave donations as even a God needs a little money. (cash preferred - i have now given up eating as i'm God, therefore i dont want tins of soup and stale bread). As a modern forward thinking kinda God, i now accept Paypal, and might start to use facebook/twitter.

If anyone wants anything done (miracles and so forth), please email my support team and we'll ignore you: support@god.org

Over the next few thousand years i plan on causing a few wars, possibly some deadly diseases and the odd natural disaster, none of which i'll do anything about.

So as you can see, not much will change.

You may now all pray to me. (cos im not listening)

hail your glorious leader and his fallen contradictions:
    earnest said:
    6) John 19:33 says that during Jesus’ crucifixion, the soldiers didn’t break his legs because he was already dead.  Verse John 19:36 claims that this fulfilled a prophecy: "Not a bone of him shall be broken."  But there is no such prophecy. The Israelites are told not to break the bones of the Passover lamb, and this is all it is about.

Psalms 22:14 "I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels".
A bone that is out of joint is a bone that is NOT broken, if you care to examine the rest of this messianic prophecy psalm you will see clearly it parallels the events of christs crucifixion. The john 19:36 is not a quote but reference to the prophecy.
In your wonderful note about the passover lamb, yes, jesus was the passover lamb, by his bloodshed we are 'passed over' by the wrath of God and hence a dispensation of Grace.

    7) "When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt."  Hosea 11:1.  Matthew (Matthew 2:15) claims that the flight of Jesus’ family to Egypt is a fulfillment of this verse.  But Hosea 11:1 is not a prophecy at all.  It is a reference to the Hebrew exodus from Egypt and has nothing to do with Jesus.  Matthew tries to hide this fact by quoting only the last part of the verse ("Out of Egypt I have called my son").

    I wrote:
If this is all that is quoted then this is all that applies. Joseph and mary did come out of egypt. Matthew says it fulfills, then it fulfills. I suppose there could be some spiritual application to israel and there is, but it doesn't really apply to jesus without some stretching.
There are some other examples of half line prophecies but i won't be putting the time to research that for your predictable one liner reply.

    8) "But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting."  Micah 5:2 The gospel of Matthew (Matthew 2:5-6) claims that Jesus’ birth in Bethlehem fulfils this prophecy.  But this is unlikely for two reasons.

        A) "Bethlehem Ephratah" in Micah 5:2 refers not to a town, but to a clan: the clan of Bethlehem, who was the son of Caleb’s second wife, Ephrathah (1 Chronicles 2:18, 2:50-52 & 4:4).

-Strongs concordance disagrees with your claim of a clan.
bethlehem is ephratah. here's the definition of ephratah.
        1) a place near Bethel where Rachel died and was buried
        2) another name for Bethlehem
You seem to be a little confused:
Genesis 48:7 "And as for me, when I came from Padan, Rachel died by me in the land of Canaan in the way, when yet there was but a little way to come unto Ephrath: and I buried her there in the way of Ephrath; the same is Bethlehem".
This is obviously a place and not the clan you refer too, i am not saying that there may well be a clan ephrath but there is beyond doubt a place called bethlehem or ephrath.

        B) The prophecy (if that is what it is) does not refer to the Messiah, but rather to a military leader, as can be seen from Micah 5:6.  This leader is supposed to defeat the Assyrians, which, of course, Jesus never did.  It should also be noted that Matthew altered the text of Micah 5:2 by saying: "And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Judah" rather than "Bethlehem Ephratah" as is said in Micah 5:2. He did this, intentionally no doubt, to make this verse appear to refer to the town of Bethlehem rather than the family clan.

-Because he meant the town and not the clan of which i am uncertain there is any such clan, however there is certainly a town. bethlehem and ephratah are the same name in different language, why put both in.. i dunno but i can't say that this speaks ill of matthews intent. As i mentioned before, jesus the lamb first, then jesus the king. Jesus will defeat assyrians and all else in that latter time, his return.

    enjoy!

ex 32:27 was gods judgment call FOR CREATING THE GOLDEN CALF AT THE BOTTOM OF MOUNT SINAI. LOL. The sons of levi.. the priests, we told to punish the people for worshiping a golden calf because moses was late in returning. And all this after God had set them free from egypt. If you think about all God had done to get them out of egypt and pharoahs army sunk in the midst of water... You see God is being very strict here. God introduced himself to moses and gave moses a few signs to show Gods power and thus convinced moses that God could free the people from egypt, who by the way had killed all the first born of israel just to keep their numbers down because they were afraid that israel was growing to large to control. We forget this small infraction of genocide because egypt did it, but when god removes sinners from his people all of a sudden God is unjust and a killer. Herod killed children but herod is okay, jesus is not.  LOL now you atheists are always on the wrong side of what is good. lol.

Afghanistan:……Extreme, radical Fundamentalist Muslim terrorist groups, non-Muslims. Osama bin Laden heads a terrorist group called Al Quada (The Source) whose headquarters were in Afghanistan. They were protected by, and integrated with, the Taliban dictatorship in the country. The Northern Alliance of rebel Afghans, Britain and the U.S. attacked the Taliban and Al Quada, establishing a new regime in part of the country. The fighting continues.

Bosnia:……Serbian Orthodox Christians, Roman Catholic), Muslims. Fragile peace is holding, due only to the presence of peacekeepers.

Côte d’Ivoire:……Muslims, Indigenous, Christian. Following the elections in late 2000, government security forces “began targeting civilians solely and explicitly on the basis of their religion, ethnic group, or national origin. The overwhelming majority of victims come from the largely Muslim north of the country, or are immigrants or the descendants of immigrants…”
A military uprising continued the slaughter in 2002.

Cyprus:……Christians, Muslims. The island is partitioned, creating enclaves for ethnic Greeks (Christians) and Turks (Muslims). A UN peace keeping force is maintaining stability.

East Timor:……Christians, Muslims. A Roman Catholic country. About 20% of the population died by murder, starvation or disease after they were forcibly annexed by Indonesia (mainly Muslim). After voting for independence, many Christians were exterminated or exiled by the Indonesian army and army-funded militias in a carefully planned program of genocide and religious cleansing. The situation is now stable.

India:……Animists, Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs. Various conflicts that heat up periodically producing loss of life.

Indonesia, province of Ambon:……Christians, Muslims. After centuries of relative peace, conflicts between Christians and Muslims started during 1999-JUL in this province of Indonesia. The situation now appears to be stable.

Iraq:……Kurds, Shiite Muslims, Sunni Muslims, western armed forces. By mid-2006, a small scale civil war, primarily between Shiite and Sunni Muslims started. The situation appears to be steadily degenerating.

Kashmir:……Hindus, Muslims. A chronically unstable region of the world, claimed by both Pakistan and India. The availability of nuclear weapons and the eagerness to use them are destabilizing the region further. More details Thirty to sixty thousand people have died since 1989.

Kosovo:……Serbian Orthodox Christians, Muslims. Peace enforced by NATO peacekeepers. There is convincing evidence of past mass murder by Yugoslavian government (mainly Serbian Orthodox Christians) against ethnic Albanians (mostly Muslim).

Kurdistan:……Christians, Muslims. Assaults on Christians (Protestant, Chaldean Catholic, Assyrian Orthodox).

Macedonia:……Macedonian Orthodox Christians, Muslims. Muslims (often referred to as ethnic Albanians) engaged in a civil war with the rest of the country who are primarily Macedonian Orthodox Christians. A peace treaty has been signed. Disarmament by NATO is complete.

Middle East:……Jews, Muslims, Christians. The peace process between Israel and Palestine suffered a complete breakdown. This has resulted in the deaths of thousands, in the ratio of three dead for each Jew.  Major strife broke out in 2000-SEP. Major battle in Lebanon during mid-2006. No resolution appears possible.

Nigeria:……Christians, Animists, Muslims. Yourubas and Christians in the south of the country are battling Muslims in the north. Country is struggling towards democracy after decades of Muslim military dictatorships.

Northern Ireland:……Protestants, Catholics. After 3,600 killings and assassinations over 30 years, some progress has been made in the form of a ceasefire and an independent status for the country.

Pakistan:……Suni, Shi’ite Muslims. Low level mutual attacks.

Philippines:……Christians, Muslims. A low level conflict between the mainly Christian central government and Muslims in the south of the country has continued for centuries.

Russia,Chechnya:……Russian Orthodox Christians, Muslims. The Russian army attacked the breakaway region. Many atrocities have been alleged on both sides. According to the Voice of the Martyrs: “In January 2002 Chechen rebels included all Christians on their list of official enemies, vowing to ‘blow up every church and mission-related facility in Russia’.”

South Africa:……Animists, “Witches”. Hundreds of persons, suspected and accused of witches practicing black magic, are murdered each year.

Sri Lanka:……Buddhists, Hindus. Tamils (a mainly Hindu 18% minority) are involved in a war for independence since 1983 with the rest of the country (70% Sinhalese Buddhist). Hundreds of thousands have been killed. The conflict took a sudden change for the better in 2002-SEP, when the Tamils dropped their demand for complete independence. The South Asian Tsunami in 2004-DEC induced some cooperation. The situation in mid-2006 is degenerating.

Sudan:……Animists, Christians, Muslims. Complex ethnic, racial, religious conflict in which the Muslim regime committed genocide against both Animists and Christians in the south of the country. Slavery and near slavery were practiced. A ceasefire was signed in 2006-MAY between some of the combatants. Warfare continues in the Darfur region, primarily between a Muslim militia and Muslim inhabitants.

Thailand:……Buddhists, Muslims. Muslim rebels have been involved in a bloody insurgency in southern Thailand — a country that is 95% Buddhist. The army has seized power and has agreed to talks with the rebels.

Tibet:……Buddhists, Communists. Country was annexed by Chinese Communists in late 1950′s. Brutal suppression of Buddhism continues.

Uganda:…. Animists, Christians, Muslims. Christian rebels of the Lord’s Resistance Army are conducting a civil war in the north of Uganda. Their goal is a Christian theocracy whose laws are based on the Ten Commandments. They abduct, enslave and/or raped about 2,000 children a year.

here are some positive christian stuff from the RT.org site:
Some Christian and other groups have adopted the controversial practice of traveling to Sudan and buying captives' freedom. This practice does have two positive effects:
bullet    It buys the freedom of thousands of slaves, abductees and prisoners of war.
bullet    It focuses world attention on the profoundly immoral practices in Sudan.

Well that hurried copied and pasted list only proved that when muslim gets to america you are gonna wish they were christians LOL. And i am betting MUSLIM is at the center of, if not the beginning of all conflict and christianity is defending itself and the ones unable to defend themselves.

"How many people have killed for Christ in the last 2000 years?" was the original question.. the above are not killing for christ. Muslims are not killing for christ. Sorry but all that hard work has not answered the question, but you did enlighten everyone to the dangers of MUSLIM and their intolerance of any form of belief... all will be assimilated.

new testament metaphor: the worshiping of graven images = NOT letting God be in charge of your life. Anything can be an image or a false god. The sin of not letting God handle all my affairs is equal to my not surrendering and not surrendering is equal to rebellion which puts a person in a wilderness experience (a place of trying and testing before one can experience what God has for them)
Jesus was not a giant..and neither is he dead! lol. why is it atheists can never interpret any part of any scripture correctly lol. I guess that is why they do not believe because they are not able to understand even tiny scriptures, milk.

We do not worry about threats. God is not threatening us. This is the beauty of the Jesus Christ dispensation, because Jesus went to the cross to die as a last and final sacrifice to end sacrifices - God, the father, is holding back his wrath and leaving it to the time of judgment when the believing shall be separated from the unbelieving, rewards to the believing and non-rewards to the unbelieving. The wounds that Jesus bore, he suffered for our transgressions (he himself never sinned and where there is no sin there is no transgression of the law) So by that one work of the cross we are free to grow in Christ. We are free to have a relationship with God, to make mistakes and to learn from them, for truly Christians go where no one else dares to go. So as we learn and grow and are taught by God we fear not, for faithful is he that starts the work in us, he is able to finish it.

I find it interesting that religionists don't accept the words of their god, when quoted directly from the bible, and then manage to overlook the elephant in the room.

Can any sane person imagine an omniscient god being unable to rise above the psychosis of a primitive people?

This always forms a part of the blabbering nonsense about the god thing.

A complete lack of logic, honesty and truth as usual.

I always thought there should be a sequal to the Bible. I mean the Book of Revelations left it wide open. Usually the bad guy, in this case Satan, becomes a greace spot at the end and everything is happy, fat, and stupid once again. Call it, The Bible II: Revenge of the Hell Master. Can I write the introduction?
